Right I have been getting quite intermate with my head lights recently due to a few issues with a second set I was installing so I thought I would pass on my knowledge First of all ... The UK Headlights have an 8 pin connector block The JDM/US lights have an 6 pin connector block therefore they are not a direct plug and play swap The difference is that that the UK lights use a self leveling system (red and blue wires) where as the JDM/US uses a manual system On the JDM/US lights the 6 pins/wiring is arranged in the following configuration (diagram is looking from the wire side of the block not looking at the pins) The Red and Black wire on the top row goes directly to the Xenon invertor and they are slightly thicker as there are two black wires (its Obvious when you see it) Here a paint version of the JDM headlight wiring loom [ The bulbs are: Indicator: 20mm wedge (commonly known as a T20) Side Light: 10mm Wedge (commonly known as a 501) Xenon Headlight bulb: ( 35w D2R) Stock rating is 4600k The higher the K (kelvon) rating the bluer the bulb (not any brighter as most people think) High Beam bulb: H7 55w The fuses are located in the fuse box behind the battery. There is a multitude of fuses 1x 15amp per Xenon bulb (dipped) 1x 10amp per halogen (High) Note the rest of the cluster can work with a single fuse blown as the fuses are per bulb, (confused me for a while). Displays symptoms of a blown bulb. Just thought some of this info might be useful for someone one day

oh all that was in the box was some new lights from Paul lol ... having a couple of issues fitting the buggers at the mom so will take pics when installed

No I think the bolt on, i.e the manifolds/plenum Y pipe and exhaust would give a decent increase in TQ but not HP Without seeing a single variable I dont think anyone will know for sure! ::Edit:: Just looking on the US forums one guy did a comparison with a dyno before an after a plenum install and the results were 1st run : 244.71 max power 227.31 torque 2nd run: 251.69 max power 237.08 torque 3rd run 248.81 max power 239.55 torque As this highlights not a bit increase in HP but 12 flb torque is sizable, Mark got 20 accross the board. I think its a simple case of, there is not a cheap way to do it.

Mark no disrespect to your figures but remember the two graphs you are comparing against are not just the mapping, between the two rolling road numbers, you introduced: 5/16th Plenum spacer (isothermal spacer not fitted) Fujitsubo Manifolds Kinetix Hi-Flow cats 5Zigen y-pipe 5zigen pro-racer Exhaust Powerbooster All of which would make a shed load of difference particularly on the tq figure. Would of been interesting if he'd of mapped it before and after with the only variable being the mapping

I would advise you to speak to 3fiddy, he tried the unichip and it didnt work very well. To remove the restrictor just get the HKS defensor about 300 quid ish Dan

Hello, I know alot of you are well versed in you cleaning products so I thought I'd throw this one your way. My side windows, particuarly my pax windows has some vicious water marks on them, I.e to the point where the usual processes dont work. I have tried Normal washing and drying AG - Fast glass AG - Glass polish (even bullied 3fiddy into giving it some Elbow Grease to no avail) Megs - Window cleaner but nothing is shifting it, not even making a dent in it. Any ideas Dan

Afternoon all, I have a set of uprated boot/hatch struts for sale which I bought from z1 Auto about 9 months ago now. At that time I was running the large veilside v3 spoiler, therefore my standard items were unable to cope. Now I have removed the spoiler and returned by hatch to standard I no longer have any need for these.
