Out of curiosity Tracy, what was your last car? I won't assume it's an MG just from your username! The reason I ask is that if you're used to driving mid or rear-engined cars, then going to something where all the weight is in the front can tend to feel very heavy at first until you get used to it. I've suffered from the same in the past, as I spent 5 years only with mid-engined cars so it was a surprise at first driving the Zed.

So instead of it being an utter;ly epic machine, it's another FWD scrabble wagon. What's the point in going to all that effort (and it does look very good from here) if you're left with something that's hideously under-engineered to actually put the power to the floor?

On the subject of old school gaming, if you have an iPad you really must get Sonic CD. I'd never played it before being one of the 99.97% of the population that couldn't afford the Mega CD when it came out, so not only am I enthralled by what is, to me, a brand new Sonic game but with the original design, but it's also a fantastic conversion. It's a must-have, it really is.

Right, then stop worrying! Get them to give it to you in writing that the car has never been crash repaired or any insurance write-off, and then you're laughing.

If you're that concerned then buy from a dealer. Gives you a few more rights should anything go pop early on, anyway.

HPI is only a very basic guide, it won't cover log book loans or repairs done outside of insurance. Use your eyes and ask the right questions, and if it looks odd then walk. Otherwise spend more and buy from a dealer to give you the extra protection.

Business use is what's raping his premium, and given he NCB status and that he's a new driver, I reckon £2500 is a pretty good price.

In theory the Zed is geared for that speed, although you'd need an awful amount of power to overcome the wind resistance at that speed. It's either a massive troll face, or this could actually be an incredibly impressive car.

On a scale of 1 to broken, it sounds like you're f***ed. Seriously, that needs proper looking at. What's the oil level like? Also at this point it might help if you told us the specs of the car so we know what you've done to it.

So basically you absolutely maxed your car out (assuming you haven't fiddled with the gearbox ratios) whilst racing on a freeway? A closed freeway I'm hoping? Look, if you just fill your car up without checking stuff then you might as well not listen to anything we've said. Get under the car and check for damage, else you could have a very expensive bill coming.
