  1. It's also a lot more fun when driven at 9/10ths, but that may because of the extra skill needed.
  2. I'd be queuing to get in before then. Even today, with the rubbish weather, people were sat in the traffic trying to get in for over an hour. Better off getting up an hour earlier and having to stand around for that hour than sitting in the car missing stuff.
  3. Get there very early, and have a look at what time the cars/drivers you want to see going up the hill are on first then plan around that. Seeing as you're only doing the one day and things tail off pretty quickly on the Sunday I'd make a beeline straight for the top of the hill, and spend a lot of time up there taking in the atmosphere and hopefully grabbing some autographs. The rally stage is epic, anything going down there is worth a watch. If none of that appeals then stick to the lower level, lots of trade stands and super cars to gawp over, plus all the manufacturer stuff too.

    M Series.

Not a major issue, once a year can of 10K Boost + injector cleaner bi-monthly will keep things clear. All DFI engines can be prone to this, however the Audi units do seem to suffer worse than most.
  5. The Roadhawk system is increasingly popular amongst the folks on PH. Depending on how you view your own driving, they're either a fantastic idea or a wonderful piece of evidence for your own prosecution. Must admit, I'm tempted.
  6. Sollis Panelcraft in Harlow. I've used them for paint repairs on my old Azure Zed which is hard to match, and my brother used them for replacement bumper and paint across the car on his Temper Zed, which is even harder to match! Very professional, and the quality of the end result is second to none.
  7. Ouch Ask your local dealer who they use for bodywork, then go speak to them directly. Or let us know where you are based, if Essex/London way I have a recommendation for you
  8. Why on earth did you keep driving if it was getting that deep?
  9. Maybe worth mentioning track insurance at this point too. It's far from a must-have, and it's not exactly cheap unless your insurer can add it to your policy, but it's something that I would no longer consider an option personally. It's not my driving I'm worried about, it's someone else being an idiot or having a mechanical failure (like the poor chap had on here recently that ended up with him writing his car off) that puts you into a barrier at speed. I don't have track cover for the MX5 as its only worth about £7.50, but no way I'd track the 911 without it. If you've got a nice slush fund then maybe not worth it, but if not then ask yourself if you're happy taking the risk. All that said, I've never personally witnessed a car to car incident at a TD, and only a handful of car to scenery ones, so they are rare but it's worth thinking about IMHO.
  10. How odd, it was in France for LM a couple of years back that I had my clutch issues, and it was the master cylinder. I still say change both master and slave together. As far as brake fluid goes, I've used the Endless RF650 which has an even better spec than the Castrol, and whilst it's ridiculously expensive it's also the best stuff I have ever used in my life. I wouldn't use anything less any more given the choice, although I do appreciate that for 90% of people something like the Motul PBF600 would be enough of an upgrade too for much less.
  11. Booooo bye Germany Fingers crossed for a Spanish win now, can't stand that Balotelli knobhead.
  12. The Zed isn't chuckable like a hot hatch is, so if that's what floats your boat then I'd suggest it's not the car for you. However, if you want something that will reward you far more than any FWD scrabblewagon can, then you'll find it an incredibly rewarding car to drive at pace.
  13. I really hope they do, but it's looking unlikely now
  14. Try using a browser with spellcheck, wouldn't have picked up whether/weather but would have grabbed wheather
  15. I wouldn't be without it. For just £35pa extra it's a no brainer
  16. Neighbours fitted a new wireless doorbell recently?
  17. yes it's very simple ... but why would you want to switch off TC ? Why would you not want the option?
  18. Two options: 1. Accept offer from garage and go halves on a new roof (£550 cost is very good value). 2. As the car is still under warranty and the garage has tried to repair it at no cost to you (meaning they accept that it is a fault and needs sorting), then they should replace it entirely at their cost. If they refuse, which I assume they will, then go through SCC to sort it. Option 2 is clearly the winner, however it's clearly going to take a while to get it sorted that way. You may be better off in regards to time and effort, but not financially, to take option 1. If you do go for option 2, make sure you get everything in writing, and that your warranty with them definitely covers the roof being replaced.
  19. If it was a design problem, they'd all be doing it and there would be no solution barring re-designing the whole mechanism again. Given the limited numbers to suffer from this, looks more like an installation issue at the factory than anything. Hope you get it sorted soon guys
  20. It's not a pretty car full stop really, and yet it's still the one I'd have out of the current range. In Giallo with black, if you're offering.
  21. Never have I ever agreed with anything you've said more Absolutely spot-on, couldn't have put it better myself. This does look like a decent bit of kit. It's too small for my personal taste, but the specs are very good for the price. It's just a shame it's hampered by the OS still, as well having a laggy touchscreen interface*. Then again, this isn't going up against any Apple product, it's aimed at the Kindle Fire market. *All Android stuff has a slower reacting interface than the Apple stuff, regardless of manufacturer. Can't see this changing that.

    Caterham 7

What's the budget/spec you're after? Preference on engine, track or road spec etc? PH is the obvious place to start looking, Blatchat is the other place I hear recommended often.

    Number Plate

Followthe rules here But no, that doesn't look anywhere near legal. Just get a proper size one and be done with it, save yourself the hassle.
