  1. It's due to the Ackermann principle, see Colin's explanation above. Not a problem, it's just how cars are designed these days.
  2. Pffft, I want the biggest telly I can physically fit in my lounge, 'perfect viewing distances' be damned!
  3. First rule of buying a new TV is to ignore everything everyone on the internet tells you. Find a shop with loads in and go and see for yourself which looks the best picture for you, and go from there. Test your favourite BD on it, and if you're into gaming do that too. Once you're happy, go home and search the interweb for the best deal. I prefer LED backlit screens to plasma, and I don't give a stuff what all the reviews and gods on the AV Forum say. It looks better to my eyes with the stuff I use it for, and that's all that matters really as it's my money I'm spending. I hate 3D and Smart TVs hold absolutely zero interest for me too, I just want a great screen with zero faffing. My Sammy 8 series is three years old now, and it's still up there with the better LED backlit screens that are out today. Even though I want a bigger screen now (55" just ain't enough these days!), the extra leap in quality just isn't there to justify spending another few grand on a new one.
  4. If I'm reading that correctly, the 458 and 430 drives are nothing you couldn't get from turning up in some smart clothes at a Ferrari dealer and taking a test drive. No way I'd be paying for that. The 30 mins drive could be good value, assuming the car isn't limited and the roads are interesting. 30 mins on the M25 wouldn't be such a great deal.
  5. Also worth trying holding the nozzle upside down too.
  6. A chair pushed out at the right time can often quieten said child up very quickly, but you have to do it hard enough to knock them unconscious. It's a bit of a black art.
  7. Sounds like an electrical issue to me, possibly either cutting all fuel or all spark. What ECU are you running?
  8. Power cut straight away, no dodgy running beforehand?
  9. If it walks like a duck... Will prob be a Taiwan knock-off.
  10. Different drivers, different days, different conditions, probably different tracks.
  11. Not that I know of. You could do it with an aftermarket wheel & boss and then use some electrical trickery to transplant the switches and wiring over, but that's waaaaaay over my head.
  12. No probs mate, we'll have a catch up then
  13. I'd need to see the finished article in person (tomorrow, then!) but in terms of structural integrity I very much doubt there'll be any issues. Aesthetically it's another matter, but if you're happy enough with the end result if not the method used then at least that's one smaller thing off your mind perhaps?
  14. That's the trouble: We all sit here and look at it and know it's a complete f*ck-up of a job, but a judge who doesn't give a toss about their cars could sit there and think "So? It still drives, doesn't it?". I guess it's all who you get on the day, assuming it went that far.
  15. I would disagree. If they had made the car undriveable then perhaps you may have a point, but all they've done is nick a smidgen off the bumper and now they've even made it fit almost perfectly, so not giving them a chance to rememdy isn't going to look good in front of a SCC. I agree with your reasonable measures bit, but I would include letting them make good in that. If they choose to do it in-house then fine, likewise if they out-source it. You have to give them that chance, though.
  16. You still can, grab the iPad and do it
  17. i know that, but once you have selected the device, try and search for a specific song/album, it will only allow me to search the library on my computer, not on the ipad. i want to look for a specific song and with all the songs on the ipad its a bit difficult. Surely you just click the Music tab and then scroll down to the track you're after? Or even easier, grab the iPad and swipe right, then enter the search term.
  18. You still need to give them a chance to make good. If you don't, then any claim in the SCC under the SOGA will fail. I know exactly what you mean about not trusting them, but sadly you have little choice. Special delivery will be fine, or even hand deliver it and get them to sign a bit of paper saying they've received it. Anything that gives you proof, basically.
  19. Eh? On the RHS of the main bar there's a button for devices, click that then click the device in question, and you get to the exact same page as in iTunes10.
  20. If you want to claim, you're going to have to give them time to sort it and it all needs to be in writing. State what you want, a reasonable time period (14 days should be sufficient) and make sure any responses from them are in writing too. Personally I wouldn't accept the car back until it was fixed, and I certainly wouldn't be paying them a penny until it was.
  21. Nope, it's actually a much smoother and more crisp design. Like anything, it just takes getting used to. Having a separate page for whatever it is you're browsing is as it should be. I didn't like it at first as I wondered where the hell my device buttons had gone to, but 10 mins later and I was fine.
  22. If the part didn't fit, they shouldn't have made it fit without your explicit instructions. Now they have to make good, whereas before your quibble would've been with EP Racing. I wouldn't be satisfied now until it was 100%, and if that means they need to supply a new bumper and lip then so be it.
  23. I've got a mate from Newcastle, and she feels the exact same way about Geordie Shore. I quite like that programme though, but cannot stand TOWIE.
