  1. It's important because that's the whole basis of your entire argument, that what someone does dictates exactly what they're worth. If you're so sure about that, put your head above the parapet and give some details.
  2. Responsibility! Fair enough. So where do you stand on gas fitters? They have a responsibility too, as if they get it wrong they could kill far more in one go than the single person a surgeon could.
  3. I'd love to know his job title, but he's being mysteriously secretive about that.

    Japspeed k4?

That's the trouble, all their stuff looks good in pics. In reality it's poorly made copies of copies, and their customer service is dreadful.
  5. At least we know what you do now. Ish.

    Japspeed k4?

It's still a HKS replica. It's made by Japspeed. What makes you think this will be any good?
  7. Hopefully it's not too late to cancel that order. Seriously. Also, hi!

    Japspeed k4?

I got as far as reading the word Japspeed and came to the conclusion it was a piece of crap.
  9. So in the same sort of theory, I don't think anyone who works as a nurse is worth the money they're on. All they do is change bedpans, mop up sick and take temperatures: Basically, they're a doctor's bitch. Top whack for them should be minimum wage, no more. Teachers, on the other hand, are worth loads more. Other people's kids are awful, much less having a whole class of them all day. Actually, you can include defence solicitors in that too, as they spend all day working with the scum of society who have done naughty things. They should be paid more, too. Too much like hard work. We should all be paid the same, regardless of job.
  10. Sounds like to me someone's looked at how easy it is to do laminate flooring, and thought "Chuff me, I could do that! I've made a bit of a mistake here by getting someone else to do it..." Are you actually saying that no-one is worth charging £300 a day? Or what jobs do you feel should be worth it?
  11. It is, but again you're paying for the job, not the time taken. You got a day less hassle out of it, too!
  12. So by your own admission he did a good job and is a good tradesman, yes? And you'd be happy to pay a good tradesman £150 a day, also yes? And you expected him to take two days, still yes? Now maths isn't my strong point, but I think I see a slight flaw in your argument here... I genuinely wouldn't get out of bed for £150 a day unless it was something I was seriously interested in. Like dressing Mila Kunis. With my tongue.
  13. Thank god you're not in Scotland, you'd be a dick!
  14. @Flexib: Heh, I love my one, he saves me lots of monies!
  15. D'you know what, I've never had to encounter one apart from the solicitors I used when I bought my house 10 years ago. I have no idea if they're generally expensive or if it's a myth.
  16. Bingo. And well put. I could work more and get more money, but then I'd have less time to actually enjoy it.
  17. No offence, but that's your fault for employing people you think are too expensive. I'm sure you can find someone cheaper, but will you get as good a job done? Sometimes you will, sometimes you won't. Pot luck. If you think they're expensive then you don't use them again. If the people where you work would like to earn the same kind of money, why don't they re-train and do it?
  18. Same principle as all MPs are greedy, all multinationals are evil, and all lawyers are robbers. All a stereotype. Well, apart from the lawyers.
  19. I know what you mean, I had great fun on a Walshy day trying to beat the computer before it fired the brake, got it a couple of times too! I'm surprised it fires the ABS though, seems a bit cack handed. It certainly never felt like ABS. You learn something new every day, ta.
