  1. Okay, so I'm going to pass comment before watching the video, but... Utter bobbins. I love having the TV on to fall asleep to, very relaxing plus I get the clock on the TV as I wake up with the BBC news on. Helps wake me up as well as send me to sleep. Nothing worse than trying to get to sleep in a completely dark and silent room.
  2. Or yeah, what he said ^^^
  3. Since you're not actually correcting the paint in this case, then you'd only do it once the wax has gone and taken the filler with it (in this case, the Black Hole). Once every three months would be about right, but you might need to do it monthly on a car kept outside and used daily or six months when it's a weekend toy that barely moves and is kept indoors. If you wash properly (i.e. NOT using the AG shampoo, as that strips all the protection) then you really don't need to do it that often, it's just how you feel about how the paint is looking.
  4. I bet this turns out to be nothing more than a lone nutter, with no religious undertones at all. Depressed at work or home, nothing to live for, blaze of glory. Very easy to believe that no-one knew until the final minute as it was such a gradual descent, and probably above cloud level. It wasn't until they got below that right at the end that they realised just how close the mountains were. Sod. That.
  5. Actually, you know what I'd do: I'd be a proper rebel and use my mobile phone while the plane is preparing to (crash) land! I know, I'm such a bad boy!
  6. It wasn't a dive, it was a controlled descent. 3-4k ft per min is nothing, would feel just like when you come in to land (well, a bit quicker, but not by much). I'd have run around grabbing boobies
  7. Oh I dunno, I would imagine being set on fire is probably the worst way. At least in a plane crash like this it's going to be over very, very quickly. Well, as long as you're sitting near the front, anyway.
  8. 8 mins is a long time to be kissing your arse goodbye.
  9. Agreed, I'd go with the Black Hole although I'm not a fan of HD Wax: I'd go for a small pot of Dodo Juice Supernatural instead.
  10. And yet, they didn't remotely try to help anyone out with the issues mentioned. No-one needs to bad mouth them, they can do that all by themselves.
  11. Any compound will enhance, it depends on how you're using it though By hand, I assume?
  12. Congrats to the new rules brought in after 9/11 to make sure people can't get into the cockpit then!
  13. Even at £7950, you have to expect someone to knock you down a couple of hundred at least, so in reality the end net loss could've been as low as £250...
  14. Indeed, I'm very keen to hear Richard Porter's thoughts on all this.
  15. Hadn't even noticed that it wasn't a revup, just saw 2006 and figured it must've been,. Yeah, I'd have snatched his hand off too. As far as unwanted cars go, a silver DE that falls into the highest VED band with zero extra power or the nice interior is right up there with the best (worst?) of them. You still haven't removed that silly tax thing btw. All you're doing now is drawing attention to the fact it's the low power/high tax thing.
  16. Why would they be? There was no complainant. Unless Tymon makes a statement, there is no case to consider here. More p*ss-poor journalism.
  17. One day I can live with
  18. Given that all BBC panel shows must now include a woman, I'd be amazed if there wasn't a female presenter this time. Which is a shame, as I'd rather see the job go to someone perfect for the role, not perfect just because they have a pair of tits.
  19. Jay Leno is a great shout! Can already do presenting perfectly, hugely popular with the Yanks, and knows more about decent cars and driving in general than pretty much anyone I can think of.
  20. Read his books? If not, you really should, they're compelling stuff and give not only a great inside into a pretty clever individual, but he goes on about his cars and knobbing Billie as well. Well worth picking up
  21. So the team he works incredibly well with on the radio don't count? He'd be excellent, but I can understand why he doesn't want the gig. Bear in mind whoever does it won't be doing with with May or Hammond, as I can't see them coming back either.
  22. That's what I was thinking.
  23. Did you try and haggle him?
  24. I can't think of anyone I'd want to do the job less. I like the stuff CH does now, I wouldn't want him doing TG and besides, everyone would hate him because they'd have no idea who he was and he just isn't JC. The first person to get that gig needs either massive personality (Chris Evans) or a healthy disregard for their career (anyone else), as its a sure-fire way to end it. It's like Moyes following on from Fergie.
  25. That's not being politically correct. That's just a smart business decision. Of course you need paperwork, especially in a public institution like the BBC.
