  1. No, not all seats will fit. The very vast majority will though, so I wouldn't worry about that. However, I would be far more concerned about comfort than anything else: Not all seats are equally comfortable, and price has very little to do with this. The good thing is you're already considering this In terms of places to go, I'm afraid you're going to have to travel. The two best places are Demon Tweeks in Wrexham or GSM Performance in Nottingham. Both are great, DT has a slightly bigger selection but they're all fixed down, GSM not quite as many but have some rarer models on display and you can move them around in-store so you can compare side by side. Either one will be fine, you'll definitely find something there for you. It might be a bit of a trek, but considering that you spend 100% of your time whilst driving sitting down you soon realise that a six hour drive is nothing in the grand scheme of things
  2. Only with ceramic turbine blades. Metal blades running sensible amounts of boost will be fine. I didn't run a BOV on the MR2 (by Toyota's own design) and it ran so much better than on my older car where I had one. Different noise on lift off, more like a demented squirrel than the usual noise, but still cool. No harm in removing your BOV and trying it, you may see throttle response differences though: Could be better or worse, in theory it should be worse but I've driven cars that were improved by removing the dump valve.
  3. Don't worry, when you get home you can get hold of some decent stuff
  4. That just looks like you fell asleep on your keyboard
  5. Cunnilingus? What's that then? Sounds made up to me.
  6. He's right though. If they were quick enough then they'd get the top seats and the advertising, especially since it's very PC to have a woman driver right now, but no-one is. Wolff was never going to be good enough for the top level, and let's not even get started on blondie at Renault. We should also consider the fact that world in general, but particularly motorsport, is also still male-dominated in mindset. At the lower levels yes, girls are definitely as good as boys, but the physicality required for race cars mean they'll never be on an equal footing. In terms of technique sure they might well be as good as a man, but you need the whole package. It's no different to tennis in that regard, you'd never expect a woman player to beat a man at the top levels of the game, regardless of the skill she may possess. Will it ever change? Not in my lifetime.
  7. You'll only lose 3 years most likely, so not all bad.
  8. I agree, I'd use cheapy steel mounts, anything will do. If they have to slide then you'll obviously be a bit higher up, but I'd be looking at fabbing a couple of bits of steel to the floor pan and mounting from that.
  9. That's not necessarily a good thing, that means that her car absorbed more energy than yours so is likely to have more damage. Tbh, £3k is not entirely unreasonable for a insurance job. Which insurer are you with?
  10. Another good reason to take pics at the scene
  11. Not if it was damaged by the accident, which isn't impossible. Doesn't matter now though really, it's all in their hands. Let them sort it out, that's what they're paid for
  12. I liked the decals Worth every penny you're asking for it. Still my favourite Zed of all time on here.
  13. I got confused, it was you that had the Ford Maybe it rained and water ingress after the bodywork damage?
  14. That's about right for OEM stuff. She's probably gone to a Ford dealer for the quote, I would.
  15. Just so we're clear, staying in your lane isn't undertaking.
  16. Which mounts is it you're using Phil?
  17. Not a great surprise. Time to call the insurance.
  18. It's the Internet, it's always a spelling test!
  19. A sentence without a capital letter?
  20. SWMBO hates the fact I use the whole road, she seems to think that if you cross the hazard lines you're suddenly going to explode into a fireball or something.
  21. but does it still count if its unrecorded lol? Of course Think of it the same way as not telling them about mods. You may well get away with it, but if you go crashing into a bunch of kids at a bus stop you can be sure they're going to look at everything at the nth degree.
  22. Never let it be said that there's nothing more any one can ever learn I picked up Advanced & Performance Driving by Reg Local the other week, and have finally worked my way through it. Some will know Reg (not his real name) from PH, and basically this book is a collection of his thoughts and ideas of modern fast road driving put into print. He's ex-advanced police driver instructor, so as good as you can possibly get, but he's also an excellent writer who comes across with a good dose of common sense as well as humour. There was masses of info in there that I'd never even considered, some really silly tips and tricks that not only make you safer, but also faster and smoother. Give you an example: When approaching corners, slow down more than you need to so you can accelerate through them. This makes for a smoother ride for your passengers but also allows the rear suspension to work properly in the corner, actually increasing your grip and speed. Having tried it a few times, it feels odd at first but after a while you just 'get' it and you are noticeably quicker. And then there's "OOoooofff the brakes...", which I'm working on at the moment. What also surprised me was that some of the more advanced techniques he mentions I already do without thinking, which was rather pleasing and I'm sure many of you folks on here will read it and realise some of what you do is also the correct thing already. It's a really cheap read on e-book, and not exactly expensive in print either. You could do much worse than give this a read, you really could.
