  1. Does the unit have CarPlay?
  2. Just going to Hull in the first place is bad enough
  3. The Cayman is the best car there for your purposes by some margin. Pug is a FWD scrabble wagon, TTRS monstrously quick but not hugely involving, 370 beaten for pace and handling by both VAG cars, Cayman has delicacy plus throttle response plus mid engined. If you don't want the Porker, get the TT. Give it a light remap and it'll leave GTRs for dust.
  4. Grab some photos before you remove anything, definitely. Call your insurance and do it through them, zero point you spending a penny on it. She went into you, it couldn't be any easier for them to prove liability in this case.
  5. Very likely. The rear bumper will pop back out, leaving everything damaged underneath despite it looking fine. Please tell me they stopped, and you got details and photos...
  6. Posting just so we can get to another page quicker, so my browser doesn't slow to a crawl every time I open this thread back up.
  7. Either colour on its own would be lovely, but that doesn't work as a combination for me. Might be the colours, or it might be where you made the split between the two. Good effort though, repair work looks great
  8. NCB only goes to five years, you'll lose three by claiming so you'll only be back on four years IYSWIM. No point having insurance if you're never going to claim. Alex is right though, get the bumper off and have a proper look. Tbh, I'd probably take it to a garage and get them to assess via the insurance, you can always cancel the claim if you think they'd want to write it off.
  9. Without actually reading about the cameras specifically, in general terms 720/30 is more than enough to give the detail you would need. Anything more is just eating away at precious disc space. For me, I'm not convinced a rear camera is massively important but if you can do it for cheaps then you might as well. Remember Sean Lacey from ROC? I know his system auto downloads the data as he pulls onto the driveway, really this is what you want so you never forget to do it manually. The last thing you need is to lose data because it was overwritten. My biggest concern is making it small and unobtrusive, otherwise you're inviting thieves to smash a window and grab it.
  10. This is why I'm strictly downloads these days. Plus, I'm too lazy to get up and change discs when I want to play something different How did you snap it?
  11. Very roughly, a sealant is synthetic, lasts longer but has less gloss, and a wax is the opposite. That's massively generalising though, it doesn't hold true for everything.
  12. If you put a decent wax over it, it's fine. It's just because you want to use a sealant that is a bit of an issue. It is a short term stop gap product though, but it does do the job well.
  13. No, it won't. Personally I'd ditch the BH for a proper polish, then add the FK over the top of properly clean paint.
  14. On a car worth £750, who cares what Cat it is? I wouldn't HPI a car of that value either, it's just cheap transport at that point.
  15. That's what I use it for. It's good stuff, but not the easiest to work with.
  16. You don't need a VIC test any more. https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-identity-check Just get it MOT'd and taxed.
  17. I'd argue there's no point using polish if you're going to use BH, and vice versa. BH contains loads of fillers, so it'll hide the swirly stuff temporarily. Polishing is always better though, it just depends if you've got the time or not.
