  1. Hamilton would be mad to leave Merc right now. Unless knows that the next car will be crap, no racer would leave a winning seat. Merc will back down as they know that Hamilton is the most bankable driver on the grid by far. I expect RB to be closer next yeat but still not close enough, and I expect Ferrari to carry on going backwards while they figure out who should actually be doing what. I'd dearly love to see Max next to Lewis, the two most exciting drivers on the grid in the same car, but would Max leave RB? I don't know.
  2. Nope. As a Remainer, I refuse to be like those idiots in Scottishland who refuse to understand what a referendum result actually means. Brexit means Brexit, hard and fast. We don't get to have our cake and eat it, we leave 100% completely. We don't get to go back and argue the toss a bit more, or keep some bits and not others. We leave 100% completely, and as soon as possible. Dragging it out helps no-one.
  3. Also illegal, and will see you done for dangerous driving if caught.
  4. Alonso? Hates the McLaren, only a year or so left at the top, gives Merc a top driver, and gives them more time to woo Max. Or Vettel is another good shout. He's not happy at Ferrari, and they don't like him very much anymore either.
  5. TCS won't always save you: It can cut the power so abruptly it can pitch the car the other way, especially if you've already started trying to correct it. Good TCS is excellent, bad TCS an absolute liability. In the Zed it saved me once vs the dozens of other times I needed to make a quick getaway and it left me stranded... But yeah, for the most part it's a good thing. Fair play for trying to learn the car with it off too: It's almost better to do if this time of year as stuff happens at slower speeds, rather than in the summer when you need far more gas to get things to move. In terms of driver training, I believe that Walshy now does his Carlimits.com days up north too. I've been out with both Walshy and his mate that he ropes in, both excellent teachers as well as really good guys. I wouldn't look anywhere else tbh, and even if you have to travel to Essex it's worth every penny.
  6. Nick Clegg is a nice guy, but that's the trouble with the LDs: They give a great talk, but when they get any real power they just get a bit lost and people suddenly remember why no-one votes for them. That said, I like Tim Farrow as a politician, and I can see them matching any of Labour's results were we to get a snap GE.
  7. No-one gives a toss about Heathrow, not really. The vast majority of sensible non-tree hugging people really don't care at all.
  8. Silly, silly man. Everyone knows you don't stuff in politics because of principles!
  9. Or drive in a straight line and not into your teammate.
  10. Sidewall number is a percentage of the width, so for example a 200/50/18 would have a sidewall 100mm tall and a tyre 400/50/18 would have a sidewall 200mm tall (made up sizes, obviously!).
  11. Yep i read them, do you I'm not convinced you understand what 'least deserving' actually means. It means the person who deserved it the least, not that the person didn't deserve it at all.
  12. I'd give bonus points for Roscheat over Rosberg.
  13. Do you even read my posts I said, quite clearly, Nico deserved to win.
  14. Hopefully the new tyres next year will be more like the WEC ones, where they do still drop off quickly but you can run them at 100% for much longer, rather than one decent lap killing them via the heat produced.
  15. I'm not saying Lewis deserved to win the championship: He didn't, as he didn't have as many points. My point is rather that Nico is an average driver with a decent car, who won via default.
  16. Not in Malaysia, no. He was cruising round to an easy win.
  17. Fastest laps mean nothing, all it takes is for the driver to risk blowing his engine up at the end of the race when the car is nice and light. Zero point doing that.
  18. First we had hood the other day, now muffler. Kids these days, tsch...
  19. Massa couldn't get near Alonso, Webber couldn't get near Vettel, Nico can't get near Lewis unless the car breaks Definitely a lot about the car, but Nico is not a worthy winner. For the past 10 years or so, the winner usually has been. Vettel in the RB was imperious, like Schumi in the Ferrari used to be. Boring races, but utterly mesmerising to watch the laps.
  20. Team bosses voted like this: 1 Lewis Hamilton, 234 points (No change) 2 Max Verstappen, 183 (Up two places) 3 Nico Rosberg, 176 (No change) 4 Daniel Ricciardo, 133 (Up five) 5 Sebastian Vettel, 90 (Down three) 6 Fernando Alonso, 67 (No change) 7 Kimi Raikkonen, 61 (Up three) 8 Sergio Perez, 52 (No change) 9 Valtteri Bottas, 26 (Down two) 10 Carlos Sainz Jr, 25 (New entry) How the hell Wehrlein isn't on there ahead of Vettel or Kimi I've no idea.
  21. The ending was amazing, even though there was only one canon one and you had to play MP to get the bestest ending.
  22. Think I'd just get a second hand one tbh.
  23. He deserves to be champ only because he had the most points. Everyone knows that he only won because Lewis had the misfortune to be stuck with Nico's crappy mechanics who couldn't change a spark plug properly, even Nico knows he won by default rather than talent. Nico will be a forgotten champ very quickly.
