  1. Bugger, thought you were going to say that! I'll send you a PM, got a favour to ask.
  2. Do the chassis braces fit the Roadster?

    Epic fail

See, this is what I don't understand. It's obviously not an M3, however you really can't argue with the quality of the work that has been done there, regardless of whether it was all done by himself or at a professional garage. Now given that he can get that quality of finish, why not put it towards something that would actually look decent?
  4. Given that an SC setup drives completely differently to a turbo one, I'd suggest deciding on exactly what you want from the car and how you want it to feel before splashing out any money at all.
  5. You can, but given the lack of feel from them then I personally wouldn't. Also (and far more importantly) you really need to be running the same make of tyre all round, so I'd get them changed ASAP. Also, welcome along!
  6. Nah, cash flow won't allow it right now. I'm sure I'll be out there again later in the year/early next year, or I may even give my parents a list when they next go out to the house
  7. I'm going over next week
  8. The UTEC is $944 on Z1, so £686 in today's money + delivery + import taxes. Still not a bad option, however the lack of knowledge over here (relatively speaking) is what puts me off somewhat.
  9. Couldn't even be arsed to take his sunglasses out when taking the photos, that's just so lazy.
  10. Y'know, if that really was made in the USA wouldn't it say Zee instead of Zed?
  11. Sounds perfectly fine, and isn't something I'd worry about too much although I would keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't increase noticeably.
  12. Personally I'd be concerned if my engine was using Nissan's 1L/1K miles, I don't care what they say as that's certainly not acceptable on a modern engine (rotary exempted). They're not the only manufacturer to give that exact number for a dodgy engine either... My car doesn't appear to use a drop of oil regardless of how I drive it, road or track. I always keep a litre in the car though, just in case.
  13. Wait, you're all missing a trick here: I'm going to write to him and thank him for pointing out what a criminal nation I belong to, but the revelation of this fact has left me horribly scarred emotionally so I'm going to have to sue him for either £31 trillion, or £4,770 which is just his cut of it. I haven't made my mind up yet as to just how badly this will effect me mentally for the rest of my life. Job's a carrot, and either way I'm a winner.
  14. Try explaining that to both the police and your insurance company if you have a smack-up in the dark... I'm all for modding, but that's a step too far for very little gain IMHO. Best off getting the inside of the light painted black via Dream Customz if you want the stealthy look.
  15. They do sell the Torx security bits in Halfrauds as I had to get some a couple of months ago, although I guess it's a bit too late to state that now
  16. Hit something a bit dodgy on the road or surfaces of differing temperature/type and you very well might. Thing is, you won't know about it until it's too late most likely.
  17. You've answered your own question. Totally different compounds front & rear means totally different grip levels, that's why your car tried to kill you. I suggest spending a bit more cash for Falkens all round before you end up in a ditch.
  18. Warranty is transferred automatically as a right of the sale of the car, no need to do anything. Servicing needs to be done to OEM standards using OEM-quality parts. Basically you don't have to go to a main dealer, but it's really going to help your case should you ever need a warranty claim.
  19. More than welcome matey, tomorrow any good for you? Am in all day.
  20. It's as close as you'll get to making the Zed sound like an old-school muscle car this side of an LS3 swap. Whether that appeals to you or not is a personal choice, but I love mine.

    Decats...

Honestly, most OEM cats nowadays are nowhere near as restrictive as they used to be (400cell?) so even dropping down to a 200cell cat isn't going to make a huge amount of difference if you're N/A. If you've got some kind of forced induction then it will make a fair amount of difference between having a cat and a decat pipe, but if you just want more noise then it's too big a price to pay either in terms of monetary cost or loss of torque. There's better things to throw your money at on the Zed IMHO.
  22. Been with them at Keevil, very professional and a good bunch of people.

    Decats...

You are aware that you'll lose a fair bit of torque with decat pipes I presume? Assuming that, whatever pipes you get you'll want them to have built-in spacers ideally, to lift the O2 sensors slightly out of the gas flow which should fool the ECU into thinking that you've still got cats fitted.
  24. There's no mention of weather on there though, so that could (and I bet does) account for the slightly random nature of the times. No way is a Cayman S a mere second quicker than a Zed, and I find it hard to believe an S1 Exige was 16 secs slower. It's a nice list, but ultimately it's about as reliable as lap times on the Top Gear board.
