To anyone thinking about these wheels... in all honesty they dont look that special in the pictures, but in the flesh they are a different class - they look totally stunning I'd say thats a fair price too. I think the TC in the zed is very poor. My main gripe is that its very slow to react... if i lose the back end, i'll have already corrected the problem with a bit of opposite lock before the TC kicks in, and then it throws you the other way and you cant handle it. My bmw before was much much quicker coming in to save me!

That's because you were staring at them Actually they probably all wondered if it was a new Porsche and better than theirs. It's very competitive in the Porsche owners world (pour souls). A bloke in my office owns a boxster and I think he's a little jealous of the Zed community. I asked him if he was part of an owners club and he said unless you have a 911 GT2 (or whatever the best one is) you just get ridiculed! Its a shame isnt it.

+1. Drive according to the conditions...! If its wet, feather the throttle, and dont accelerate until you're straight. Its easy to say i know, but i cant say i've ever lost control of the zed like that (yet!). But the weather...? Yesterday and today have been the nicest days we've had in a month. It was 24 degrees at lunch time!

+1 i see astons around here more often than i see zeds. I pulled out of my road a couple of weeks ago, and no joke, at the traffic lights there was a 911 infront of me, one behind me, a cayman along side me, and another 911 came the other way! And they were all looking at me!

a mate of mine had her car broken into, but they couldn't get the stereo out, so they ended up stealing her steering wheel! She didnt notice till she got in and sat down...

This was most definitely a more pro event that what i've been to... i go to the 'introduction to drifting' on an easy course... Check out this thread for everyone's car suggestions... looking back now, i wish i'd bought an e30 bmw. Definitely try and get into it though mate - its awesome!

Good good! In addition, i've taken my zed on a couple of drift days and have no problems with the autobox. The manual mode on it is excellent, and i've modded mine to use paddle shifts rather than pushing the gear stick up and down. ...but try to drive both if you can before making decisions.... im sure all the manual drivers on here will tell you im wrong and that you need a manual in a proper sports car... but the zeds not a propper sports car, so you'll be alright
