  1. Hey guys, another great day had drifting - kind of! I was a bit of a mess from the previous night, having had 2 hours sleep so i wasnt in the best of moods I went and had an hours sleep in my car on the carpark...! S1HNK came and woke me up by knocking on my window. The RX7 took some serious getting used to - i dont think i did a full lap where i didnt spin it . I dont know if it was the welded diff, the wet track, or my state which caused that! Probably all 3. The difficulty was that it would only unstick the wheels in 1st, but then you needed to change to 2nd mid-drift, and that would give you a power boost that would just chuck you off track! Still, my mate tom was the best - before his first lap on the small track, he was telling me he was nervous - and then proceeded to drive straight into a barrier/tyre wall and get stuck there - 10 seconds into his debut, and then couldnt get the car to restart! Funny as hell. Thanks to Darren, Martin, and S2k Nut for the passenger laps... i enjoyed them more than driving the rex! Its great to see everyone's different styles too - Darren - you make it look so easy with your laid back style... very lethargic, but properly sideways on all corners, and great linking. Martin - what can i say, you are just mental!! I dont see anyone else there driving like you do - its ace. We got lots of in-car vids, so im sorting through them this week, and will post some after a bit of editing!
  2. Ben perhaps? Indeed it was. Didnt know he was going until Tuesday last week Big question is, was he any good? Amanda thinks 4WD is for wussies, shes a real driver I didnt see much of him actually - but it didnt look anywhere near as much fun as rwd... he was saying that due to the active-yaw control, you couldnt put opposite lock on as it would negate the drift... so to drift you had to keep the wheel turned in the direction of the corner and plant your foot... no steering out of it! It looked odd, and im not sure how much fun it'd be...?
  3. Yep, very pleased for Lewis... an i love seeing that pussycat doll jumping up and down too. She needs it
  4. outwith the capability of the software im afraid, it just wont do it. anyone want to give it a crack? I'll have a crack tonight when i get home pal.
  5. By the way Chris, i was talking to a chap at Oulton Park yesterday drifting in his silver Evo... i didnt catch his name, but he said he was your mate...
  6. No, neither me. And an F1 car could stop from 200mph in a short distance - he just rolled for ages before crashing. He may have hit them momentarily when he got hit, before losing conciseness? Either way, who cares - its bad!
  7. I like stuff like this... check out this guy - he's an online piano teacher! If im very bored, occasionally i'll break the keyboard and try to learn a new song! http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=sha ... iew=videos
  8. I dont think so! If he's in an induced coma and on a respirator/life support, then thats not good at all. The footage is on youtube - so unlucky. And i dont think he braked - he lifted off didnt he?
  9. I've was in PM contact with him yesterday Chris.
  10. Possibly but the price on early imports is never much higher anyway. In truth when I put it on Autotrader, pistonheads etc I may add a few £££ but I'd like it to go to a club member. It is with your mileage! I'd be looking for £8500 for mine if i sold it, rightly or wrongly, and i've got 59k on mine, and its an auto! Whether it'd sell or not is another matter...
  11. Yeh, 20min journey normally. And the first thing i do when i get home is flick the laptop on. As for settings, both are set low, i cant be doing with microsoft protecting me from my own shadow. Its odd that it only happens occasionally though... as in i've not had the issue since the week we went live on this version.
  12. Am guessing they're from DP Motorsport? If so, search for them on here, and view my many, many posts on the subject!
  13. Have you trimmed the center console parts down? As even if its 1mm bigger then it wont fit back together! Speak to TmJak about the work he's had done! That said, it looks fantastic. Even if it doesnt fit back, you know its doable, and you can work on other less delicate parts.
  14. WTF, why sell it so cheap Cant you leave it with family to sell...?
  15. Great, nice one chris. Yes, i do indeed use 2 PC's... work, and home. I shall clear the cookies from both today. Dont spend too long looking into it... nobody else seems to notice! (or it probably isnt occurring for them.) Cheers Chris.
  16. I live on big brother! Its the only time of the day that i can truly sit back, and remove my brain for an hour. I need it in my life!
  17. Hmmm... maybe he has been flushing the buffers again. Freaky that i notice every time though
  18. Hmmm... i think this bug is rearing its head again! Probably another 4 times over the last 3 or 4 days there have been topics that i've missed... The one example i have to hand is the following...: viewtopic.php?f=53&t=25350 Chris, i doubt that you can check times which this record was retrieved in my 'view unread posts' search, but all i can say is that i've checked the forum probably 8 times throughout today, and this topic didnt appear until around 20mins ago - approx 9 hours after it was created!! ...and i realise that srobrien has updated the thread title, but im not being a tool - It wasnt there!!
  19. WTF?? I've just watched this without sound... what happened??
  20. Excellent... im going to have a bad hangover anyway so its just what i need...!
  21. +1 im just down the road in macclesfield... but always having a blast up the A34 to didsbury cinema! Si - what days are you in knutsford mate, i go into the center most days for my lunch, between 12 and 2.... i wanna see the wrap! Also - you coming to oulton on sat? 2 or 3 days a week, i do alot of work with a company there so it just depends when they call me in. Oulton on sat, yes i'll come down mate and show you the wrap, what time you gonna be there? Cool mate. We're there from 8am till 5pm on sat! You'll see my car parked on the grass as you go in... im drifting in the rx7! Looking forward to seeing this wrap. Gimme a call when you get there and i'll come up and meet you.
  22. The only problem with that is the 100% chance of rain I went for a long weekend during our 2 week heatwave last month - and got ridiculously sunburnt. i recovered slowly - see example below...:
  23. I've got to say, and i may get flamed for this... i much prefer my car now i've returned to the standard exhaust I had the K1 for 4 months during which time i was considering selling the car as it felt like a bag of nails...! But then i returned to stock, and it feels like a brand new car again.... so smooth! Also, i know its been briefly mentioned before on other threads before... i honestly felt like i lost some torque with the K1 fitted. It felt a much quicker car the weekend i took it off...!
  24. Not a patch on bloody aberdeen though eh? zed central!
  25. Comfortable/relaxing - Tenby in Wales? Not luxury though...
