  1. Never mind, just googled it: http://www.mclaren.com/page/vodafone-vi ... son-button
  2. bump, this weekend Anymore info on this??? Sounds very interesting
  3. It would be a case of completely dismantling it and sticking the screen behind the cubby, and mounting the circuit board behind that. Then you'd need to butcher the power lead and wire that into the +/- of the stereo. 3 hours work if you know what you're doing... (and a roll of double sided tape!) Mine looked like this:
  4. You're the man Never pressed that button before - i must have knocked it whilst fitting the sat nav today...
  5. Have you thought about something like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-7-Car-GPS ... 2eb583839f This is basically what a Nurrish sat-nav is... buy it, dismantle it, and fit it into your cubby. Looks a bit scary when you see it mounted behnd your dash with exposed circuitboards etc, but it looks OEM.
  6. So my JDM has the tilting mirrors option where you put it into reverse and the mirrors tint downwards so you can see your wheels (very useful for my Volks ) About 3 months ago they stopped auto-tilting and i had no idea why. However today i re-fitted my Nurrish Sat-Nav which i removed (probably 3 months ago!) as i thought i'd broken it. But after refiitting it today they suddently started auto-tilting again!! So it would appear that they are linked to the Sat-Nav which obviously isnt the case... i must have disturbed a connection somewhere... i was just wondering what that connection was
  7. This Apple fanboy / anti-Apple shite really gets on my nerves (not this thread, i mean it's everywhere). I HATE apple products... i hate style over substance, i detest iTunes (worst application on the planet), and i never owned an apple product UNTIL i got an iPhone 3GS. 2 years on and i've still got it. I still hate apple, i still hate iTunes, but it is the best gadget/phone/device i've ever owned. The user interface is so slick and easy to use... i even enjoy adding contacts to my phone is so easy and intuitive. From day 1 you know how to do everything on the phone, it's been designed so well. Now compare that to the Android phones that my work mates / fiance have and the UI is so clunky and cumbersome, and un-intuitive, and these are brand new Everyone keeps saying they're better because they have more features and they're not made by apple - but i just dont agree.
  8. UK car for under £6k?? Dude thats too cheap - you're killing the market for everyone else
  9. No way used to smell failed cats all the time when they first started putting them on cars... not smelled one in years. Buster - Take the opportunity to replace with uprated parts
  10. Lets not dis the guys car here... i was dissing the lazy auction attempt idec - on a pretty much weekly basis we see eBay adds with 'claimed' bhp figures from people who blatantly dont know about zeds. I thought this was one of those ebay adds as it doesnt really detail any of the effort that's gone into the car If you're asking £14.5k for it, i think you need to demonstrate the effort that has gone into the car rather than saying 'To much to list etc etc etc etc'. It makes the viewer not believe your auction, and also suggests that the car the car hasnt been lovingly crafted with an attention to detail - like it's just been thrown together. Thats just my opinion though. I think the car looks good though tbh, apart from the bonnet vents. GLWTS...
  11. No way... fair enough then but still a crazy price. It's the laziness/lack of engine detail on the auction which i found amusing... if you're going to spend £5k extra on a car for the engine, it needs to be detailed properly what you're getting.
  12. Just seen this on the related items link from Irfans ebay link... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-2 ... 6016596496 £14500 With the main 'selling point' being that it has had an engine rebuild, detailed by saying 'The engine modifications are too long to list, eg forged pistons, connecting rods, cam shafts, valves, etc, etc, etc.' Discuss....
  13. Tesco is ace... i went on a supercar drive with my vouchers: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=43702&hilit=tesco
  14. Humbrol hobby paint No. 54 will also also do the trick: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=47348&hilit=humbrol
  15. Enjoy yourself fella... very jealous
  16. Okay, changed my mind - i can definitely feel it now Been out for a spin today, just friving it round town and you can really feel the difference! I wouldnt call it a performance mod per-se but it does yield some interesting results... Thanks guys for your help and Col for spotting it.
  17. Looks very Just hope it lasts for you...
  18. Maybe it's just me... I'll take it for another spin tomorrow and reprot back.
  19. I dont believe so Sam... unless the previous owners did it. That said this zed does feel much quicker than my last one so who knows (going off to check all previous posts relating to my car now!) James and Col... i followed the guide below which was on the EPRacing thread... this seems to be the same settings i get (despite it being a different version controller ) I've just sat in the car with the ignition on and the engine off and depressed the throttle a bit and held it there. I then cycled through the modes, and can see the throttle position difference between them (Eco5 was 25, Nor was 30, and SP7 was 60) so i can clearly see that it is doing something.... i just couldnt feel it whilst driving. Edit - forgot to paste the guide:
  20. Mine's a V1 too... will go have a play now and see what happens. Cheers fellas.
  21. When i installed it, i held Set for 7 seconds, and then press he throttle until it said 1.5 and pressed set again, then pressed the peddle down fully till it said 2.0 then pressed set again - and that was it... have i missed anything?
  22. Well... this arrived today... took me 5 mins to install and.... it didnt work. It wasnt getting any power so i thought it was fooked, but it turned out that the power wires on the ODB2 connector just needed re-soldering... phew So set it up and went for a drive... and i cant say i've noticed much difference to be honest It was a little damp outside, so my test was doing a launch in 1st in eco, normal and SP7. In eco the wheels didnt spin so easily, and in SP7 they did... so maybe thats all i'll notice. Verdict: Bargain, but ot sure yet.
  23. This is exactly the same noise as mine with uprated clutch and lightweight fly...
  24. I'll sell it you for £80
