  1. Usually the pump is fine, but the pipes under the windscreen cowling are blocked. Take off your brake fluid cover and feel around for the tubes, and then pull them apart at the Y pipes, then try running the washer...
  2. Thanks for this Penfold, thats great. Yep, can we all meet here between 7.45am - 8.00am please. It's another 10 minutes to the track, and then it will take us 30mins or so to gain entry and get setup etc, and Dobby and I need to be in the briefing for our track time at 9am, so dont be late
  3. £60 - £70 per pair depending on condition is a fair price...
  4. I use Dodo Juice Mellow Yellow on my Volks (very delicate finish), and it does a great job. I cant get the brake dust off with just shampoo but it comes off very easily with this. http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/dodo-juic ... 8d289fae16
  5. Thanks Pal... i would have got such good flights without you... The best deal i could find was flying to Amsterdam first before onto NY
  6. Wheel off, spare on, then take it to a tyre place to get repaired.
  7. Okay, all booked. Flights on eBookers - american airlines - £415 Hotel on hotels.com (via quidco) - £429 for 6 nights in a 4 star boutique hotel (and then £51 cashback from Quidco). Not bad...! http://www.ravelhotel.com
  8. Thanks all, Yeh tonight i've found out it's far too expensive to stay in Manhattan, so looking at the other islands, this one seemed the best deal i could find. £71 per night is very cheap, and it's a 4*, and is only 10mins from Manhattan. Only down side is the poor reviews from the guests, saying its very loud (as there's a night club on the top floor!). http://www.ravelhotel.com/default.aspx?pg=gallery Flights - i'll check eBookers, thanks Maccaman. Oh, and since i grew up watching Home Alone, i've always wanted to stay in The Plaza hotel, just for a night to say i've done it... but for 1 night the cheapest room i could find was £662, so i'll be giving that a miss
  9. Not booked it yet, but looking at 17th - 30th December... I've been going through TravelSupermarket.com and Lastminute.com, but you cant tell anything from the 2cmx2cm pictures they have on those sites ...i need some real opinions or experience... or someone with an apartment out there who wants to rent it to me...!
  10. Because im not GAY-GAY-GAY-GAY, not GAY-GAY-GAY-GAY
  11. How much was it per night, if you dont mind me asking...?
  12. Fuel is between £1.55 and £1.70 a litre across France/Belgium/Germany, so factor that into your plans. Also Toll roads... they're about £1 per toll, but there can be a lot of them depending on your routes etc. The zed will be fine though and will eat up those miles.
  13. Hey all, Im going to New York for Christmas, but on a budget... My Dad lives in upstate New York so i'll be spending christmas week with him, but i've got 6 days i can spend in New York City before i go up to his... but i dont really want to spend much, as im planning on being out most of the time... Has anyone stayed at any bargain motels in Manhattan...? Also - flights... the cheapest i can find is £460 per person for return flights... that seems expensive, or is this about right?? Any help much appreciated.
  14. Looking good. Get a bit of tyre shine on those tyres...
  15. Carlton sorry mate this list you've copied is about a month out of date, and entries are closed for this unfortunately. I'll refund you the payment now too...
  16. All fixed and back to normal... managed to find another tyre and got it fitted today... but my pocket is now £170 lighter.
  17. CHANGE IT! After witnessing a car leave the outside lane into the hard shoulder at a 90 degree angle and smack right into the barrier at 70+. It wasn't pretty and could have taken out a number of cars in it's path to the hard shoulder barrier! (Heading from Port Solent to Maidstone) I wouldn't want to drive round on a tyre which could pop at any moment. It's for your own safety mate. A costly replacement but life is priceless. Cheers pal - i've found a replacement (same type) on eBay for only £160, so that should be turning up tomorrow.
  18. Yeh thanks all, i hadnt thought about the MOT. Tez, sounds like a 90 degree valve, see the pic below. So you think just fitting a standard valve will work? Sounds like a plan...
