  1. Alittle more prep work done today! Got to use my new vaccum brake bleeder, this thing is awesome value and made the job of bleeding the brake system really easy! Getting set up to do the brakes. Vaccum bleeder hooked up. Bled all the brakes and gave the callipers a little clean up. Next job was to sort out the temporary fixings fir the bonnet. Ive not had time to make the custom clips yet so I've gone for a wire set up just for safety for tomorrow. The wire goes through the engine bay and is bolted to the steel under tray, the wires rated to 155kg so the bonnet would brake before these gave out! Lol. I've also developed an oil leak which I have tracked down to my ftont timing cover! The pics above show the leak, I know its hard to see! Lol. Ive tightened the cover bolts bacj up as 4 had worked lose! Fingers crossed thsts it for that leak.... Any way thats it, I'm ready for tomorrow! :-)
  2. Some fitted pics!
  3. Nice to see another propper build! Is this carls old motor??? Out the grass track car? That was a steal if thats the motor you got`!
  4. Love the coffee table mate, you have some skills to make them!
  5. Beau sorry mate those tints are not legal. I had my front and back done and got pulled and tested with light meter and had to pull mine off on the side of the road or get the car towed! The OEM 350z front glass has a tint thats about 65% light in so ANY front tint will take you over the limit.
  6. Finished the 2nd catch today, A little harder to fit than the fist as this one had to be measure many times to ensure it was at the same angles as the other side! I dont want one being wonky! lol.. No fitted pic's yet as its started raining! ha..
  7. Took the plunge and made a start on the areocatches today. Started by covering the engine bay as carbon dust will go every where! lol.. Masked off where the catch was to be fitted. Place the bonnet catch on and added some butter to the top and closed the bonnet to see where it touched! ha. Marked it and rilled a 8mm hole from under the bonnet though to the top skin. Fitted the aerocatch template. Made my first cuts with the dremel! Took a lot of balls to cut into my CF bonnet! lol.. Cut out. Test fitted the catch and it touched the under skin so that needed to be removed. Chain drilled the under skin, and refitted. Point where I have drilled the slam panel for the catch clip to sit. Clip fitted. I've got a small problem that the pin that the top clip locks onto does not fit well at all. Im looking to make a new custom clip from 2mm stainless steel plate tomorrow. If I dont get the 2nd catch fitted ill end up finding some way to wire the bonnet shut for TOTB and sort it out after? Anyway thats it for today! lol..
  8. No one fancy this event? lol..Looks like its just me then! ha.
  9. You could use a 10w-40 no problem. I have used 15w-50 in my engine but its not stock so im not sure if a 15W-50 might be a little heavy for a tight clearance stock motor.
  10. Guys Im looking at going to TOTB X boot camp on the 30th July (saturday). Its £75 to enter and is a 1/4 mile, topspeed and handling comp. Great value for just £75! Google TOTB X for info!
  11. Ive done mine mate, Black power coated. £20! lol... This was a while ago... This is more recent. With the gold heat reflective intake. Powder coat the OEM brace mate its the stiffest and strongest out there!
  12. Great to hear!
  13. Ps my insurance with adrian flux fully declared mods (agreed value on the car + like for like mod replacement or cash If you cant get them anymore) is wait for it.............£728 a year with breakdown cover and key cover!!! And Im still only a kid!
  14. I wont make a guess! lol.. Andy, Im sure if you can get to 12+ PSI then 460+ whp is well on the cards! Wait untill you pick the car up and feel what 450+ whp and a $hit load of torque feels like and your gonna **** your pants! 3rd and 4th gear are awesome mate, I took my GF's brother out (the one who drives a C5 Vette) and his face was so funny! Its fast to 100mph but most cars are quick to 100mph ish, the zed will just plow on to 150mph really quickly! It feels like the stock zed at 90mph at 150mph its still pulling that strong! hahahaha.... fingers crossed dude!
  15. You should check the oil when the motor is cold anyway mate, not after its been running.
  16. Thanks mate,

  21. Sorry to hear that Tony, 825 Hub HP is big power mate, alot of people used to run 1/2 head studs for extra head stealing pressure may be a thought?? Also what HG's come with the other brands 100mm stroker kits? Are they all cometic? Dont get to down gys am sure youll find a way around this. Mark/abbey what head studs does preoject zed uses? ARP L19's are not the top of the range ARP studs are they? May be better studs and a lottle mor torque? Did any of the block liners move ?? That could be a fault that caused the HG to blow.
  22. Just got back from a nice week in spain with Jess. Took the Go Pro to the beach one day and had a play in the surf! Hope you like! Its a funny feeling taking the cam in the water! lol...People look at you funny!
