Some really good video's on there mate. I love the new video style with the DSLR HD video now! The go pro mixed with the film like DSLR makes a really spot on looking video! How do you like FCPX??

Guys 98dB Is not too bad, My exhaust is about 112dB at 4750rpm! It hits a bit of a strange tone around there and the noise output jumps up! lol.. Check out these video's of my car for some idea of dB. The first is my 5ZIgen which was tested at 93-94dB at most tracks I have been on. (much nicer sound than my current set up ) The next is 3.5" down pipes (big bore de-cats) with the 5Zigen rear cans on a custom 2.5" true dual. cold idle. 4.75K RPM Track test rev's Its about 95-96dB at 4K tested at TOTB last month, I still need some extra silencers as it fails most strict track day noise limits!

As for waistgate's mate, Im really think hard about doing some external gate conversion. Im looking at twin 38mm tial or turbosmart gates and some custom piping from the manifolds. There the better option as the externals are easy to get to and swap springs ect and if they fail you can swap them out in a few mins vs. a bloody engine out job on the internal gates! i would hate to fit forge gates and have the diaphragm's split!

Andy your boost graph looks just like mine, Yours is more stable but seams to drop boost off mor at the upper rev range. My car peaks about 0.8 drops to 0.7 midrange and then runs back to about 0.8 at the rpm limit. Your AFR looks far more stable and a lot richer than mine too! Im needing to retune to target 11.5AFR as my current dyno's show 11.8 at red line and running a little lean for my liking. Nice one mate!

Had a more productive day than yesterday roof "fitting" joke! lol... I went down to layton fasteners a local fixing supplier and picked up a few M12 high strength bolts and nyloc nuts and washers to match. I set about removing the bumper to fit my TRS racing tow strap. I've seen a few cars with soft tow strap fitted but most seem to just fix them to what ever is close to the spot they want so if they ever needed to be used they would just pull off in two seconds! lol... Started off by jacking the car up. On the jack stands. Had to removed the power steering fluid cooler to make sure it did not get damaged while drilling. Next job was to drill though the crash brace, I've gone for a spot that is right at the end of the chassis leg so should be one of the strongest place to fasten to. I hope! Fitted two washers to make sure the strap does not get damaged while being fastened down. Bolt stacked out with some washers and the nyloc nut. Strap fitted. Next job was to line up and cut the bumper where the strap needed to come through it.... I measured the mounting point and then marked it out onto the front of the bumper. Cut the bumper with a stanley knife. And the bumper back on.. Don't mind the car its just hanging about trying to look hard holding his axe! haha.... Job done! Until next time! :P

Had some fun today! NOT! Tried I repeat tried to fit my Hexis vinyl roof! Did not go well.... Stripping the A pillars off. Sort of on..... After about 30 mins lifting, pulling and smoothing.....Tried with the hair drier too... But after a lot of swearing and shouting (mainly at Jess as this could not be my fault it was not going on ok! lol) I think I got it too fit ok? And the final "fitted" Pic's! What do you think? lol.... Oh well Ill go back to the mechanical things as Im ok at that! ha....

Yeah mate the rear tires are pants there only crap falkens as my R888's did not have enough tread on them! lol.. The 0-160 run was fun mate, the car wheel spins badly in 1st 2nd so I would like to think if i could go full throttle in 1st 2nd the car should do 0-100 in the 8sec range!

Im looking into getting in to small sprints and some basic comps like TOTB for next year. Wheel to wheel racing has to much chance of getting the car smashed up for now! lol..

Im interested in this one too! I may just bolt the side mounts to the floor as im the only one who drives the car!

A guy calld Jeff Ludgate owns this car, Im not sure if he's sponsored by abbey but will have had work done by them on the car most likely. Was a great event and would be nice to see a few more zed's there nexrt year!

Guys today was great! Great weather and had such a good time. Andy J was not able to make it as it was his birthday Ill have to let him off! (happy Birthday mate! lol_) Soooo I was team **REMOVED** all on my own ......Me and Jess left our house at 7:30am got to Elvington for about 9:30ish and got signed on. While I was queuing up for the sign on I got chatting to a guy behind me who ended up owning a V8 200SX I've seen in magazines and at TOTB last year! We had a great chat and being a fellow nissan owner invited me to come and set up in the pits with the SXOC team! After signing on I had to get the car through the scrutineering, that was going to be fun! I dropped the car in the tech inspection area and 5 or 6 guys jumped all over it! lol.. The cheked wheels nuts, tires, under the bonnet, seat belts, you name it they checked it! Anyway it passed! ha... Next was the noise test! I had spoken to Dave Naxon about the fact it may not pass and he said he would get it through, the guy asked for 4K rpm to start with and he got a 99.1 dB reading! great, he asked for a 4.5K and got well over the 106dB limit so said "we will stick to the 4K reading then hey!" lol.... We had the driver briefing at 10:30am and the explained how the day would run, what class the cars would run in etc. I ran the Zed in RWD class B. Here's a few pic's taken off my phone. The driver brief on the starting line. The zed wearing its race number! Some of the cars that were running during the day! Scudder from the SXOC' super charged LS2 V8 Beast! The inside of the white R35 GT-R! Few more of the Zed! Jess and the zed cooling down! lol.. Few more shots of different cars that were there. Fully nismo built RB26 The BORG built by RIPS in new zealand. 500BHP GT35 Turbo top speed bike! Nicely built motor! Now for the results: I went for the standing 1K first! Runs: 1, 126.0mph just learning the track. 2, 153.0mph 3, 144.3mph 4, 154.7mph 5, 155.4mph << 6, 155.2mph 1/4 mile, I did not go for any records as I don't want to kill my clutch and the surface is not anywhere near as good a santa pod so ill save the 1/4 records for the drag strip! Runs: 1, 13.51@116mph 2.45 60ft 2, 13.07@116mph 2.31 60ft 3, 13.07@118mph 2.42 60ft 4, 13.06@117mph 2.43 60ft 5, 12.82@118mph 2.27 60ft << Handling circuit, never going to win this when the Dax rush with a cosworth turbo motors in my class! lol.. Runs: 1, 47.38sec 2, 46.92sec 3, 46.49sec<< Only had 3 runs on the handling circuit as it was busy and very hard on the brakes as there was no space to cool down etc. Im sure I could have dropped another 1sec off at least as some of the team SXOC guys had 10-12 runs and went from 50+ sec down to 42sec region! Also Very hard to put the power down! hahaha... Over all standings were: 2nd in the standing 1K in the RWD class, 5th in the 1/4 mile, and 11th in the handling!! Made up with the results as the only guy to beat me in the standing 1k was scudder from the SXOC in the 600+ WHP supercharged LS2 200sx! Few video's from the event! The handling circuit. Some in-car standing K runs! 0-159MPH Run Great event!
