  1. It was lovely, but I cant see it selling at that price... If the rumors are to be belived you wont be able to buy one out right... http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArtic ... rs/245320/
  2. You will also find they use SAE over there (as do a few UK tuners, and as a rule we dont use SAE we use DIN , it gives inflated numbers! More here if your interested!!! http://www.land-and-sea.com/dyno-tech-t ... epower.htm ) Its also not just the ECU thats restrictive! Dont think that many come up at 220 to 230 whp ? I thought it was more like 235 to 240 Dont deny the numbers arnt pretty good though... think after my first dyno with a typhoon and a spacer got me 239 @ the wheel... its only Mark and Uprev bring it all togehter thats got the numbers I have now...
  3. LOL!! Just translated it back and it came up with "I love ' dogs ' heartburn substantial" google translator isnt up to much~!
  4. i was just gonna go with a panel filter, what do you think is best?? i have heard that the induction kits don't work as well on the 350z Depends on the year of car, the 06 ones have a velocity stack built into them to help draw more air in... prior to 06 the numbers are about the same but a cone filter could / can suffer from heat soak! AEM and Injen / Nismo Cold Air intakes have gains as well as noise so it seems!
  5. Nice idea on the angle stock and the slot... may have to give that a go as I have been running with the same idea on mine but mine twists occasionaly as its just a flat plate into a threaded bolt...
  6. He's in Wokingham Mark, so not far from me. I can't make any offers of help from Tony at the moment as he is so busy at work that he has to work most weekends. But if anyone is prepared to help with the fit you are welcome to do it here and Tony may be around and I will make tea/coffee and sarnies Happy to help as always Sarah, I cant make it Saturday as I have a visit from some welsh bloke.. But could do Sunday or Martin if you fancy coming to Redhill on Sat I can do it here for you! Mark Oi I thought I meant more than to you the just some welsh bloke How did I know I ment you?!?! Cara 'ch 'n sylweddol Boyo!!
  7. so would you need to swap the full jdm system out for a uk one to achieve the same sound? forgive my total ignorance....... Nope, an after market y-pipe will fit straight on, or a trip to somewhere like Rapid Fit on Jockey Lane in Huntington as they may be able to make you a mid pipe... its all about removing the blockages in the exhaust system caused by the silencers and baffles... In the OEM system, you have the cats then a silencer in the y-pipe, then one in the mid pipe and then another in the back box... 4 too many Custom midpipe will be about £100 to have made up so if i just change the back box i'm not really gonna get much change?? is that what your saying.....sorry i'm just wondering if it will make any difference at all?? will i get some difference with just the back box, but more of a difference if i change the mid section and y pipe aswell?? sorry if i just sound thick ... but just want to be clear. The back box is going to make very little difference I think... Stick some hi flows or decats on as these will still fit with the nismo, and you will see a bit of a difference. I think the Nismo is cat back so you dont need to buy another y-pipe. I should have made a video of my amuse with and without the unsilenced mid section so you could hear the difference... You could buy a y-pipe now and then sell the nismo one when you get it will make a difference.. An Ex owner Bobby changed his y-pipe on a stock system and it made a difference to the sound for the better..

  10. Very little, but a Y-Pipe, hiflows or a custom unsilenced mid section will sort you out!
  11. Hi Mark, Would you justify the cost of headers for the performance and sound they give or do you think they are a pain for what they do. Decent ones yes!!! (And I know you meant Mark @ Abbey!) Which ones are decent. Im looking at dc sport ones. Yep they are decent well made ones from a relaible company! You still got the Japspeed manifold group buy in your footer that was all!! And yep you do need to put your old cats on at MOT speedy, not a hard job to do if you got a jack and some axle stands!

  13. Very nice results. 268 wheel horse power at the hubs equates to ~319bhp at the fly (assuming 16% transmission losses: 319 * 0.84 = 268). I believe the HR 350's dyno at around 255-260 at the wheels so 310-320bhp at the flyw for your car seems very realistic. You may need to change the "303bhp" your sig The osiris uprev reflash seems to have very good results with bolt on mods. Lots of discussion about this and unfortunatly its not that easy!..... Better just to quote hub figs! Not that I am complaining about mine being 325 @ the fly via your figs! Also Abbeys Dynos are at the Hub so more accurate than at the wheel
  14. Nah that should be fine. The map above has a typhoon / pop charger, uprated exhaust headers, amuse exhaust and 5zigen y-pipe. There is some maps in abbeys (who I would recommend, but maybe a bit far to travel!) traders thread that has more info about cars that have mods like yours... You will find the joys of the uprev come in the 100% throttle open as well as the additional power delivery!
  15. Where you based? Easy to fit.......
  16. Decats ended up being fine on both torque and BHP Uprev and with Kinetix hiflows and then with DC sports decats There are a couple of other mods in there to get it up to those numbers though! Envy do do their own but speak to Gaz or Chilli Red (Sarah) about flowrates and see what they have in stock, they do Kinetix and Berks too
  17. Will tell him you saw him... hes not on here!
  18. Midnight Blue and going fast perhaps? Or could you not see it due to the dirt?!?!
  19. Glad my explanation worked!! Have a look on my350z.com loads of options on there!
  20. Its prob too big then! Is the pic in photobucket? this pic is taken from the web, the code is [img ] http://www.350z-tech.com/w/images/e/e9/ ... le_001.jpg [ /img] (but with no spaces) You just put the link in the same place your RAYS/ Brembo / Eibach bits are!
  21. It needs to be the right size, think its a tiny 500x100 on here.... Just put the link to the pic in image tags (dont put the space after the img bits !!)
  22. It does look pretty good taking the outside colour into the car. You do need to do some more interior bits to make it look 100% though
  23. Arnt the 18's normally about that price? And the 19" about £120? Last time I fitted 19" they were cheaper from Hi-Q fitted... £115 each I think. worth givign them a shout to see if they are still doing a deal, mine were about 8 weeks ago
  24. The point about the last owner s to find out if he had the bumpers changed, if he did then its the dealer that dosnt know what he is on about, if they wernt changed and the dealer has chnaged them then it could be that they were trying to make it look like a uk car to fool some less knowledgable... ie fraud, but if they didnt say UK then they havnt really defrauded you... Do they need to change anything? Not really... its a case of Caveat emptor... If it says on the receipt that its a uk car then you have a case, if its sold as seen then you have accepted the receipt so have accepted the contract. Whats narking you? The price? If so what did you pay and is this inline with the current import price?
