  1. hi all , can anybody recommend some power steering fluid - I know the 350's take Nissan PSFII or equiv but which others are equivalent as we dont have a local Nissan dealer about here to get any PSFII Thanks in advance PS mines a 35th Ani JDM don't know if that would make a difference - do GT4's take any different fluids?
  2. Well had a good look and cant see anything obvious, I'll take it to get the tracking laser aligned (National Tyres doing it for £11 at the mo believe it or not ) and have them check out the steering/ track rods while they are under the car. If I need a track rod end, how much are we taliking and who sells them in uk, want to aviod the stealers if possible ( mines a 35th Ani JDM) thats if they'll touch it. Found some in USA for about $50 each (without delivery obviously) and they didnt seem a special part , all were priced the same, but no part numbers
  3. I'd get a key cut (dealer paid for ) and give it a try. Obvisously keep the original key well away from the car as it will deactivate the imobiliser if it contains the chip mentioned
  4. Excellent table! ...but is it just me, or are the last four entries really required for the Z??? Steve yea not chance at getting those type of figures but I did get a 13.6Km/Ltr once or was I dreaming. PS for those who dont know its an average Km/Ltr figure shown on the pod, you need to press reset while driving and then it will give you an actual and start a new average from then - takes about 20 seconds to calc when reset. well thats looks as clear as mud, I hope you all can understand my poor explanation
  5. Will have a look tomorrow if it ever stops raining. No eggs on tyre - free range or otherwise (tyre in good cond with about 7mm tred) Wheel seems sound, as does the bearing (no movement) Tends to most noticable on roundabouts turning right then immediately left to exit (judders when s/wheel turned from right to left). Doesn't wander or pull in a straight line or under braking
  6. Hi all, got a little problem, hit a rather large pothole last week disguised as a puddle and the steering has started to judder when I take a sharp left over 30mph over the last week - does that sound like its thrown the tracking out or it it more serious Sorry just noticed this is in the wrong section - mods can you move it - cheers
  7. Alright delboy from a fellow northerner, welcome. Ive a got a 35th ani as well (GM) Q and A time 1 Unless the Bose is shafted you should have no problems - mines got an 18mhz frequency shifter on it and it works just fine - check out your arieal, I found when I fitted a nice shiney aliminiumn stubby it wouldnt pick up bugger all , stock one picked up everything. Bose CD is a pig in the cold , always jumping in the cold 2 Mine sticks to the road like glue - till the roads wet/damp its normal just ease off a bit in the wet or turn off the traction and drive sideways everywhere 3 I have a copy of the Nismo kit in me garage - Front bumber & skirts only make me an offer if you like 4 I replied to your other post but, it sounds similar to mine in that the car has had a cat 1 alarm fitted and the central locking now works off that - dont know anything about the key being encoded to the ECU - get the garage to get a copy if its only £10 and then see if it works - if it does lovely jubbly
  8. Has your 35th had a UK immobiliser/alarm fitted as part of the SVA coz if it has wouldnt it be a simple case of getting the key cut as the old imobiliser will have been removed
  9. Mines the same - digital speed indicates Kmh but is actually mph (speedo conversion) but the rest appear unchanged and are still in Km Heres a table for the KM/Ltr Km/Ltr Miles Per Gallon (U.K.) 2.00 = 5.65 4.00 = 11.30 6.00 = 16.95 8.00 = 22.60 10.00 = 28.24 12.00 = 33.89 14.00 = 39.54 16.00 = 45.19
  10. Sorry guys very busy weekend socialising will have a stab tomorrow
  11. Fight starts at about 4am you know - better sip a few shandy's between pints Cum on Ricky 10 round KO for me - Ive already got a small wager on it

    SVA test

Mine looks like it got a restrictor in the neck
  13. Yea shame, wouldnt take much. maybe a mod in the making?
  14. +1 Who wears the trousers in your house? She has to learn how to drive it, so she can pick me up from the pub
  15. she's had it for the last few days I only filled it to the brim on saturday night and it will be empty when she get home tonight. No doubt she will then leave it empty or even tell me my car needs filling up - sometimes I despair
  16. I got mine fitted with a band expander - only £30 fitted - couldnt be arsed myself - works great with original aerial but reception is shite with my lovely looking but not very functionable aluminium stubby. Cant believe my bose dont even have RDS - how crap is that
  17. when you do get it converted insist on a mileage verification certificate from the company - invaluable when you come to pass the car on. When I got mine converted I had them leave the KM on the clock and from now on it counts up in miles - I know its a mixture but for transparency I prefer and would prefer that the odometer has not been altered in any way and that way nobodys knocked a few thousand off it when it was changed.
  18. Question - are the red reflectors in the door supposed to be illuminated or are the just reflective.
  19. Many thanks, never spotted it when I was fitting the spoiler - Doh Will give it go tomorrow - wife's kidnapped the car to go to work in
  20. counterweight? - where does it live? - pics would be helpfull
  21. Anyway JM imports could offer you some advice as he is an importer and put em through ESVA tests - where can he get a model report from - you must be able to get them being in the trade etc
  22. As the title says - fitted new ING rear spoiler but the OEM dampers on the rear hatch aren't up to the job and are allowing it to close, mostly when I'm reaching in so it looks like it trying to eat me - or sometimes it will bash me on the head just to annoy me So anybody know where I can get some uprated ones or can I tweak the OEM ones as it stays up for a while then falls closed, so it looks to be just slightly beyond their limit.
  23. I've dealt with them , the girls in the office (owners wife and daughter I believe), dont seem to know much about any of work being carried out when questioned and have a mightier than thou attitude - Clive, the owner seems like he carries out the work and knows what he's doing but either they have too much work on or they are just poor at their work as I had a number of problems also. When I received the car the front bumper and HIDs were out well out of alignment with large gaps around them and screw under the bumper protruding 3/4 inch ie not screwed in. Eventually got it sorted by a body shop near me as the bumper has to come off to get at the lights. The rear number plate is not central and so shows a cut out in the rear bumper and It took me an eternity to get a mileage verification certificate from them after they converted it from KM to miles (I had to apply pressure through the import company to get them to do that) you would think this would be standard policy of any conversion company. but the band expander rear uk fog and Cat 1 alarm seem well fitted. They also don't give a proper break down of costs / labour and individual parts which I didn't like. Personally I wouldn't touch em again with a barge pole
