GoW wasn't a 360 launch game, it didn't come out until almost exactly a year later. At launch you had stuff like PGR3, CoD2 and NFS:MW. Hardly a must-have game there either! ah my bad then, maybe he waited lol enjoy your xbone anyways

titanfall looks great but not out still spring next year when I guess a lot more people might consider a purchase.

mediocre launch titles. as my mate put it there is no wow factor game such as gears of war that was an Xbox360 must have title at launch.

always been on virgin media so can't comment on BT open reach/ADSL as its slightly different systems, sure someone else will pop in to help u further

on you openreach modem/router how many Ethernet ports as it got ? on my Virgin media modem it as 1 in and 4 out. so you could connect 1 cat5 cable into one of the out ports then on the other end u connect a switch, depending on your switch it could have another 4,8,16 or more out ports. simple example > modem/router port 1 - desktop pc port 2 - 4 port switch - xbox360 - smart tv - blu-ray player - ps3 (all four connect to the switch) port 3 - empty port 4 - empty hope that helps

the ops budget of £800 max should get a pretty decent spec if he chooses wisely look for the H series of motherboards, mine is - ASRock H87 Pro4 the difference between the H and Z series in fps is almost nothing so didn't so the point in spending almost double or even triple. Z is top spec and u pay for it H is mid range B is low range and pretty basic spec back in July my motherboard cost around £75 not sure what they going for now.

i7 cpus are a waste for gaming or so i read, a latest i5 chip would be a better choice, mine is a i5 4570 (haswell) with a gtx 670 gfx card and 8 gb ram, plays bf3 easily on ultra at 60fps+ @1920x1080 bf4, being the newer game, might run at slightly lower fps but u can always drop a few settings down to high i'd also go for a higher rated PSU, look for a 750watt branded such as corsair, spend around £60+ and not £20 on a ebay one http://www.anandtech...bench/GPU12/372 - gives u some idea of performance, although some of the newer components aren't listed like the "new" R range from AMD (mostly rebadged older cards) best to do a google search so u don't get ripped off. a quick google search - http://www.bit-tech....-260x-reviews/1 Let us know your budget and we can try and help you

FOV - Field of view/vision Take a look at this which makes its effect obvious Meh! The PC might have better graphics but it still looks worse in my opinion. Hate the way it puts a fisheye effect on everything, the gameplay looks really weird. that does look a bit 'fish eye', cant say it's the same on cod4 tho, might be because cod4 was designed on the pc first then ported to consoles where as all the rest where console first then pc ported (sorry OP for going slightly off topic)

how is the 65 FOV working out for you ? read a few players hate it, personally i play at 90fov on bf3/cod4
