Cheers guys - I'll give the ECU reset a bash. The light is on all the time so when i checked it in the book it say's its ok to drive. If its still on after the reset I'll take it to get looked at. Just a thought - could it be down to the fact that I've been using non-super petrol for the past few tanks? I've had to watch the pennies recently being a Northern Rock employee.... Any tips with regards to my bonnet issue?

Hi - Thought I'd kill two birds with one post Bird 1 - While driving to my girlfriends parents last night through the wind and rain I accidentially drove into an uber puddle that had formed on a roundabout. Couldnt see it until I was nearly in it but it made on hell of a splash!! So I get to the house and go inside for an hour or so, when we get back in the Z I turn it on and then to my horror the engine warning light stays lit in the cluster I drive away but I didnt notice any changes to how the car "felt", I thought it may have come on due to it getting soaked and thought it would be ok this morning - alas no - the damn light is still on? Its just been serviced so all oil, coolant, water etc etc is tip top? What do you think it could be? Should I get it straight into a dealers to have a look?? Bird 2 - On a side issue when I had the bonnet up checking the various levels on of these ba****d huge gusts of wind caught the bonnet and forced it backwards, fortunatley it didnt damage the wings or windsceen but now it doesnt sit flush. How do I go about adjusting it? Is it an straight forward job? I've had a search on here and on 350Z-tech but couldnt find a how to - can anyone help me??? Thanks in advance Ross

It is funny that you should say that - as I was removing the driver side one for the umpteenth time the led popped out and into the light cluster itself!! As I was going out and dont have another car I had no choice but to slot the original sidelight bulbs back in get on with it. Now I cant see where the bulb is? Where could it have possibly gone?? Looks like this weekend will be spent taking the whole front end to bits all for the sake of a £2.50 sidelight No doubt there is a how to guide kicking about somewhere - I'll have a look and see how much of a nightmare its going to be!!

The ones I had were the quad type ones, but TBH only 2 out of the 4 ever lit up?? I'll have a bash with those ones you have mentioned and see how I get on with them. Failing that I will just get some of the ultra white 'normal' style ones - they have to be better than the regular yellows and wont flicker after 5 mins Its just a pain having to root around behind the splash guards every few weeks but I suppose practice makes perfect!

That could well be why but if that was the case would they not flicker as soon as you fitted them? They did work consistently for weeks and its only now that they have gone a bit strange - I just put it down to them being cheap - IIRC they were only about £2.50 for a pair off the bay. I know that a few people on here have fitted led's with no problems - just wondering where they got their ones from?? The PIAA ones look good but they are £20+ a pair.... P.S - I live on the quayside - I can be often seen around there or towards Byker where the gym is. We have family out at Rowlands Gill and at Whitley Bay so are around those parts quite frequently as well. Chances are if you see a Chilli Z it will be me as I've not seen another one since I bought it!

Hi - I bought some LED sidelights from a shop on ebay a few weeks ago and when I was driving in the murk today I noticed thatthey werent working properly - this meaning that one was flickering akin to a strobelight and the other one was just off full stop! When i got home I undid and refitted both so that they worked again (tested them before putting them back in the housing) - I then refitted them and tested once more but sods law one worked and the other began to flicker? Any ideas why this is? They were just cheap ones like - does anyone have any reccomendations as to where I can get some other ones from? As its a pain in the a**e putting them in and out I just want some ones I can fit and forget about. Cheers

Just come back from a bit of a blast up the north east coast and my poor baby is now absolutley splattered with grime!! I have been toying with getting some of the splash guards fitted for a while - but when I have looked for them they seem pretty expensive from the dealers and uk ebay - then there is the painting and fitting.... I have found a seller on US ebay who can provide them pre-painted but I think they call their paint colours different names to us??? They can provide them pre-painted if I tell him the paint code - where would I find it? I have an 04 chilli red? Cheers guys

After a bit of investigation it turns out that the tweeter is only effected when playing a cd. It works fine with the radio, and with the tape player?? I'll try one of those cd cleaner things to see if that makes a difference - if not then it looks like it may be the excuse I need to get a new headunit....

Thanks for the responses guys It just seems to be the tweeter that isnt working - do you think it could be a headunit fault? I'll try it with the radio to see if the same thing happens I'll go to a few audio shops and see how much a set of new speakers will be - can be a new year treat for her!! Will have to see how much money I have left first cos she needs taxed at the end of Jan!

It turns out that I am having a similar problem with my non BOSE set up. Noticed today that the left side 'tweeter' does not seem to be working? Ive checked with the balance etc etc and its defo not supplying any sound to the cabin. How do I go about getting the headunit out to check the connections? Also if it is a speaker fault where would I get a replacement one from? I'm not intending on changing my headunit (unless its broken) so would aftermarket speakers make any difference to the sound quality? If so wat ones fit the existing positions with the minumum of fuss? Cheers Ross

At first I thought it was Big Phils but when I got up close I realised it wasnt. I'll keep an eye on future maxy p's to see if its in there. @ chris w - Im living on Newcastle quayside at the moment - just behind the Baltic art gallery- along from where Revolution the car shop used to be. What colour's your Z so I know who to look out for - not too many around the town like - thats why Im so glad I dint go for my other choices - the Z's quite exclusive!

Saw a very cool heavily modded 53 plated import azure blue coupe on Wednedsay evening on my way to gym. They drove down Newcastle Quayside lookin very . May well be S/C or TT due to guage pod down a pillar. Possibly Nismo kit and carbon bonnet with chromed wheels. (Sorry for crappy details but it was dark and was trying to catch up.) My Girlfriend saw them being photographed / filmed with the Millenuim bridge as the background about 6.30 - 7.00pm Anyone on here or know them?

Thanks for all the input guys with regards to where to get them from on the forum, however my question about US spec lights is still outstanding - does anyone know if these will fit a UK car, or if there are any differences that I need to be aware of? If it would be loads of hassle to get them to work I'd sack them off and get some from Holdcrofts etc but if I can save circa £50 then I will just get them from the states

Hi, Im after a set of the LED rear lights that I thnk became OEM on the 06 spec Z's iirc? I've been on ebay uk but think that circa £250 is a lot for a set. I then took a gander at us ebay and found a plethora of different LED rear lights so I was just wondering if anyone had any experiance about buying lights from across the pond?
