  1. I've also heard that there is a tasty chilli for sale as well......
  2. Thought I had got a bit more interest today as had a couple of missed calls on the mobile - Rang them back for them both to be agents who claim they can sell my car quicker than the pervebial off a shovel Should have used the phone safe option methinks....
  3. Well heres hoping... Im hoping the trader advert will broaden its exposure a bit more but at the moment you never know...
  4. Well bare me in mind once you get the practical car...
  5. Now on autotrader (if link below works): http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... x_mileage= Would take £14k from someone off here Go on you all know that Chilli is the best especially when the sun is shining
  6. Cheers. Just something a bit more affordable on the running costs for a little while. Still not decided exactly what as of yet.....
  7. Cheers Martin - I spent ages looking for this one so hopefully he will be interested
  8. Thanks guys - if you know of anyone who's after one then point them my way! I am truely sorry to see her go but I hope to be back in the Z fold at some point next year again.
  9. Hi Got her on pistonheads now Now reduced to only £13,800. Final reduction!! Now with 6 months tax just bought til March 09 http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/596012.htm Spread the word guys..... Cheers Ross
  10. I've had a drive of a Smart Roadster and it "feels" surprisingly quick as you are so low to the ground with the turbo 700cc spinning away behind you. The Brabus spec one I fancy has 101 bhp and can be mapped to 125bhp which will result in a nippy car as it weighs next to nothing. I fitted in ok as well which was a bonus. It looks pretty nifty with its dished rims. I dont do may motorway miles as I spend most of my time in the car scooting in and around Newcastle where the smart comes into its own. All other suggestions are good but I still fancy something "cool" looking with a bit of rarity value. My golf gti before the Z was a mk4 which I had modded up with big BBS wheels, remapped the engine etc and looked good. I just dont think I could have a "normal" car for everyday use after the Z...but if it means I can save the pennies and rejoin the fold next year then I am prepared to do do
  11. Hmm some good suggestions there.... Where would someone go about getting a batch of tiger print leather - that is one sure fire way to turn more heads than in the Z The hot hatch is an area I have looked at but even they are surprisingly thirsty as the temptation is to hoon it all over the place Chances are it will be a mega cheap runaround for a few months - get myself sorted out - give runaround to the girlfriend as a bribe so I can get myself another Z. Thats the plan uless I land an uber job and I'll see if I can get a GTR as a company hack
  12. I looked at the elise but for 10k can only get a S1 from 98 or 99. Plus being 6" 3 means it is a right effort to get in and out - nearly gave myself a hernia getting out of one at a showroom!!! It would be the only car I'd have so the drawback with the elise is its naff storage space for the tesco run etc. Before the Z I was VW nut so quite like the Lupo Gti...
  13. As some of you may or may not have noticed in the 350Z for sale thread, I have started the feelers to see if there is any interest in my Z. These initial feelers are soon to change into putting it fully up for sale. (So any interested parties watch this space as it will be offered on here before PH or Trader.) Despite me doing many sums the numbers simply do not add up hence this request to you fountains of knowledge. Until my work situation stabilises I need to get something smaller and cheaper to run, tax and insure. I know this doesnt exactly narrow it down but do you have any suggestions? Top of my list at the moment is the Smart Brabus Coupe Roadster - dont laugh its a wicked little thing Other than that I am at a bit of a loss for a cool looking little car for sub 10k..... Any suggestions???
  14. Like I say its a decision I didnt want to have to take but needs must. I've still only ever seen 1 other chilli Z in a year of ownership and that was in the car park at Go Ape in Grizedale, Cumbria when I was there 3 weeks ago. I had the parents Rav4 for the trip so couldnt even do a side by side shot! In two minds as to if I want it local - the golf Gti I had before this was sold to a local who has sytematically ruined it after all my hard work on it
  15. All - "just dipping my toe" as another forum member said not too long ago.... Unfortunatley I have just been told that the area of Northern Rock that I work for is going to be significantly re-sized and that I have a high chance of being made redundant in August This is now forcing my hand with priorities - house obviously comes first. I bought the Z last June when my career was on the up and I fancied a new toy - sadly I just cant justify keeping it with the risk of redundancy looming and running costs creeping up and up...hence this post. It is a lovely Chilli Red (best clour IMO ) 04 UK Non-GT 350Z with 45k. Pretty much standard as I had a whopping list of mods to do just before the rock imploded. Only additions are carbon pillar covers, boot mat, floor mats and ali sill trims. Would make a fantastic base for someone who wants a well maintained, much loved and highly cosseted Z to modify to their hearts content. Has a full service history and I am the 3rd owner from new. I will be truely gutted to see "Ruby" go but needs must at the moment. Pics below - will be looking for circa £14kish as still have the loan to settle. Just wanted to test reaction on here first before putting on Pistonheads and Trader at the end of the month. Im located in Newcastle upon Tyne. (Thats the Baltic Arts Centre in the background of the pics) Any questions please PM me. Cheers Ross
  16. Yup that's the one alright!! I bet it was chocka - the sunshine always brings them out!
  17. Spotted an Azure Coupe on Tuesday 3rd at about 6.15pm and drove behind it for a while along Newcastle Quayside and then up towards Morrisons at Byker - Private reg on it... Saw a gunmetal one today coming from Osbourne Road at about 7.30pm ish before it shot off over the Tyne Bridge - another private reg that may have spelt something like Robson.... Anyone on here?
  18. Hmm well if they say that it can cause problems then I'd best give it a wide berth. Will wait and see how much the daily commuting kills my wallet and but if Im honest I think that her days are going to be numbered with the petrol and tax costs going mental
  19. What with the price of petrol going crazy at the moment, road tax etc etc I am really having to think about if I can keep the Z any longer....I would be gutted if she had to go mind One option I have thought about though is an LPG conversion. The gas seems to be so much cheaper than petrol - about 55p a litre I think?? Has anyone ever converted a 350Z to the gas? Where do the tanks go? Does the interior need modified in any way? Any help or info much appreciated. Cheers Ross
  20. When the dates get confirmed I should be able to arrange to join the group
  21. Passed you going north down Gosforth hight street up at the top near the County Pub. Think its this very car here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-350Z_W0QQi ... dZViewItem Looks cool on the move Gave you a wave and a nod - anyone on here?
  22. After nearly a year of ownership I am finally getting my act together and thinking of getting the rims refurbed. I was just wondering if anyone on here could reccomend a refurbisher in the North East. I have previously used SEM at Sunderland and my Dad has used Romax in Stockton. I was just wondering if people had any other companies I could look to use? Also I was toying with the idea of getting them done in an anthracite / smoked chrome finish as opposed to the normal silver. What you think? Is a chilli red car BTW with a few carbon bits and bobs. Think the darker wheels would look good with the carbon.
  23. That. Is. Immense. What an awesome looking car!! If I defo decide to keep hold of the Zed I'll have to make the short trip down to Sunderland to see the chaps at ESR to have a mooch at all the awesome metal. My budget can only stretch to a couple of stickers at the moment though Phil!
  24. Looks and sounds matey!! If you dont mind me asking how much did the system set you back? P.S - Good turn of speed you have there from phone to car!!
  25. Hmm mine says £210 as well - is it effected by the age of the car? Mines an 04. Its getting a bit ridiculous this running a car malarkey - instead of getting a TT conversion I mite put a micra engine in mine and go for the show not go stance
