Looks awesome mate - very cool It will look like a stealth bomber going down the road!!
-
I'll ask him and find out. I am pretty sure they are 8.5x19 on the front and 9.5 x 19 out back. What type of offset range will suit? I've seen a variety of offsets mentioned on here depending upon the width of the wheel - dont want them sticking out too far, or worse them being too close to the brembo's for comfort!!

I tried putting in P1 and servicing but got loads and loads of results... Thanks for that though it is a big help - seems as though amsoil say their filters are superior to Nissan's own brand so I'll have to investigate.... Now to the traders on here to see who can get me the bits I need...

Hi - Does anyone know if wheels from an R33 skyline would fit on a Z? A bloke I know is Skyline mad and changes his wheels pretty often, he has a nice set of deep dish 19's on at them moment and I know he is looking to shift them on. Just wondering if anyone knew if they would fit?

Just reactivating this thread of mine with another couple of questions which I am sure your guys will have no bother answering!! My mate works at an Audi dealership in Newcastle and he says that he can service the Z no bother on his day off in their workshop. All he needs is the various parts and their respective part numbers so he can source them, or if he cant get them I get them and get him to fit them. I am aware the P1 service is a oil and filer change - so I take it I will need 1 x Oil Filter 1 x Standard Air Filter / Upgraded One. (May have a JWT by then if the posties ever stop striking) Oil ( Not sure which sort but any reccomendations appreciated.) Anything else I will need? Does anyone know where I can get the part numbers from, or a place where I can order them from? many thanks in advance

Hi - After 6 months of Z ownership she is now due a P1 service (whatever that entails) and Im wondering if anyone on here knows any good garages in the Newcastle area. I have a couple of questions though: 1. How much of a difference does having a Nissan stamp in the book make when it comes to resale? If I use a independent Nissan specialist will that do just as well as a dealer? 2. What is involved in a P1 service - I believe that if you supply your own oil that the price drops? What oil is best to use? Any other money saving tips? Cheers Ross

Do I take the offer.... and go for the Monaro...YES YES YES

I 100% agree - it looks . Its the type of motor I would imagine Darth Vader having in his garage. The only (tiny) downside in my nopinion is that its a Vauxhall - but you'll be going that quick no one will notice the badge - get the holden badges slapped on and that will confuse the majority of the population! -
Hmm - some more food for thought now. BigPhil - I take it the K&N one fits onto the standard system? If I wanted to at a later date could I replace the factory intake with one of those lovely looking carbon ones and still use the K&N filter? If thats the case I may go for the K&N one from you - is that £80 delivered?
-
Ive just been on their site - its $179 for the kit. Does it include the intake pipe or can you use the one from the standard system? There are some on US ebay but dont have the intake pipe for about $100 - its seems to be the filter and the heat shield

Direct from where? JWT? If thats the case I may look into just doing that, but if a GB or a 2nd hand one appears then that would be good too

Anyone looking to get shot of a JWT Popcharger or similar?? needs to be fully complete with all bits for installation. If you have let me know - need to liberate a few more ponies! Plus I believe the noise over 5k rpm is well worth the investment Cheers Ross

Found the thread now - didnt notice it before I posted mine. Note to self - search harder! By the sounds of things each Z will be effected differently. I think 40mm will be the max I'd do given that I'll still be on standard rims with umpteen speed bumps near my house. now to decide what kit to get....
-
Im thinking about lowering my Z using just a spring set on the standard dampers, with standard wheels and fitting a set of 20mm spacers. I've looked and there are a lot of different kits but which ones are the best? Also how low can you go before the camber etc goes all to pot? (I believe that this is a problem for the Z) Cheers Ross

Cool thanks - Is there a 'how to' showing this in pictures anywhere?
-
Awesome - think I'll get them ordered then! They easy enough to fit?

Hi Just wondering if I bought some of the genuine OEM silver Z sill trims from US ebay would they fit my RHD car or are the fitments different? It is just that they are a lot cheaper from over there even with the postage included. Cheers Ross

I know most of these can be picked up pretty easily but as Im part Scottish Im always looking for ways to save a few £££ Do you know of anyone selling these bits 2nd hand but in good nick? Im ideally after the Nismo branded B Pillar Trims as I want to keep the Car as OEM as possible. Lower carbon bumper insert (bit in the middle) Hubcentric Spacers with all bolts etc - ideally 10 - 15mm ones (H&R and the like) Like I say they are all easy to pick up from various traders - but if anyone knows anyone who is selling these bits or of any special offers please let me know. Cheers Ross

Yeah those BBS look nice dont they. Its going to be a hard decision - the Z suits so many different styles!!
-
On a slightly different tangent does anyone know if BBS wheels fit the Z? I had a set of 19" BBS CH on my golf gti and I totally loved them. Was just wondering if they made them in the required patterns / offsets etc. According to the BBS site they go up to 10 x 19 but it doesnt give any more details than that. I've not seen many pics of Z's with the more 'euro' styled wheels on them. May look silly but just a thought.....
-
Those Volks on the black one look great but I bet they cost fortunes!! Im quite keen to keep it OEM looking so a set of Nismo LM GT4's or similar would be my first choices. I liked those ones Big Phil had on his Azure Z - they looked

The general consensus seems to be for 19's so I'll stick to that. The suspension will be getting done as well so can close up the arch gap. I was browsing last night and found these which I think will look pretty good - http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/LNP01/25-1125

I've only been a Z owner for 3 weeks, and I told myself I would leave it standard but the modding demon has been whispering in my ear..... I've been spending a lot of time on the web and in tuning shops looking at the different wheels on offer but I cant decide - big fat 19's or some 20's. My old Mk4 Golf had some big 19" BBS on it and I loved the slightly oversized look that they gave the car - but Im not convinced that this look lends itself well to the Z. I wont be putting a big kit on so will 20's make it look a bit like a Tonka truck? Just after some opinions (and maybe some pics if poss) on the subject. My personal preference is to get some 8.5 and some 10 x 19's and drop it by 20 or 30mm - but the lure of having some dubs is strong!!
-
Hmmm how much would you be after for the lower lip / spolier / cover thingy? PM me with some figures and I'll decide where to spend my cash first - really need the mats but I reckon the carbon would look class....
-
Im quite fancying some carbon goodies for the Z. Think that the carbon will go well with the chilli paint. Im after some pillar covers and one of those lower bumper crabon insert thingy's. Anyone know where I can get them from? Any of the traders on here do them with a bit of a discount.......

Maybe I should have followed the link to Finkystyling as the ones I recieved off ebay today dont fit. I asked the seller - Performance bulbs if they would fit the car and they dont - they send me 581 offset pin type ones. Are the ones I need the 501 wedge type?
