  3. hmm which is the correct filter? 1st post mentions "Oil filter EAO/SDF-13" 2nd post mentions "Dont forget the SDF-12 filter" confused!
  4. I don't see these listed on the website - are they still available?
  5. OK - the time has come to change the pads and fluid - how much fluid will I need to hand the garage? Motul is sold in 0.5L bottles - is 1 enough for a full change?
  6. mmm nice - but being cackhanded I had better not try to replicate it!
  7. looks like a nice day out - sorry I missed it - what grill is in this photo above and where do I get both it and the Z badge with a red background - looks !
  8. I feel that a 1GHz VIA cpu is about 40% too slow for a car PC personally - I had a 1Ghz via in my previous car computer in my last car and it was a bit laggy to use RoadRunner.. although Centrafuse is faster than RoadRunner and VIA have no doubt improved their CPU/motherboards so that 1Ghz goes further than it used to..
  9. for an amp you should probably run directly to the battery yep - check out http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread. ... adid=26618 once youre in the cabin you can run the wiring along the door sills or through the center tunnel.
  10. I am using a bluetooth OBD-II scanner that I bought on ebay - my GPS is also bluetooth, as is my internet connection (via phone) - no wires for me!
  11. probably yes! depends on the exact dimensions of the screen of course..
  12. I am using Centrafuse too - working very well. Really keen to get the next version which will use a newer version of Destinator (the routing at the moment can be quite bad wrt motorways!). The OBD-II module needs some work in Centrafuse too - I might write a plugin to do that if it's not improved. I was writing my own front end and got half way but then Centrafuse came along and did everything I wanted to! there are many alternatives to Centrafuse - RoadRunner is probably the most complete one, but I much prefer Centrafuse. In addition to Centrafuse I am running XPort (which is a GPS com port splitter - you need this if you want more than 1 program to access the GPS info at the same time) http://curioustech.home.insightbb.com/xport.html I am running GOOPS (http://sites.onlinenw.com/goops/goops.php) which tracks my car in realtime and uploads it via my bluetooth phone (T-mobile web'n'walk unlimited connection) to a server - people can then track my car in realtime and see when I'm about to arrive and get the kettle on (pretty cool eh?!) and that's basically all the software I'm using.. it runs on windows XP and I have a via sp1600 with 512mb ram and find the speed is OK - wouldnt use anything slower.. I would recommend NOT installing a super computer in your car as it will generate more heat/take up more room/draw more power.. a 2GHz CPU and 512mb ram is enough for a car PC in my book..
  13. The 2003 cubby is quite different from the 2004+ one(s).. the main advantage it has for installing a screen is that it's in 2 pieces - the back half can be removed and the screen placed in simply.. with the 2004+ one if you want to achieve a similar result you need to cut away the back of the unit and then fabricate fixing points to attach the door mechanism to (the mechanism on the 2003 cubby is much simpler and doesnt rely on the back half of the cubby).. take a look at http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread. ... ight=cubby - it has some excellent photos of the 2003 cubby and install I ordered mine from USA - parts cost about $100 and shipping was $24 i think - custom duties and fees about £21.. I tried 2 seperate dealers in UK for these parts but they were useless (and importing them worked out cheaper anyway I reckon!).
  14. certainly it's possible. I refer to you this excellent info.. http://www.swooby.com/z/navpc/ (please note I haven't done this myself - I have fitted a new screen and PC)
  15. have you seen how well it fits into the nav cubby yet?
  16. What Gps receiver are you using? How about OBD-II or any other devices? What front end are you using?
  17. got Toyo R on atm and the grip is immense (and they didn't need 100's of miles to run in as some people have reported).. I will say that the sidewall is less rigid than the OEM tyres, which can lead to a bit more understeer, but I am far happier with them than with the OEM ones..
  18. 410 quid including all hardware? pretty cheap - I have spent more for sure!
  19. really like it - much better than azure (sorry azure people!)
  20. Have you ever seen a grown man naked?
