My car started making some serious creaking noises a couple of weeks ago and I thought something big was going to drop off! It turned out to be the anti roll bar drop links. Lee supplied the bits (and some bits we thought we wouldn't need and actually did) and John fixed it for me this afternoon. Many thanks to both - and my car no longer creaks!

totally agree with the other comments - you need to get it done, i wouldn't buy it with a scratch on the bonnet. OR i'd try to knock more money off than it would cost you to have it done. Your quote seems high to me I have to say.

Its horses for courses. I chose a manual but sometimes when i'm stuck in traffic with a dodgy knee i wish i had an auto!

I'm an ex type R owner too. There's really no comparison between them, the zed head and shoulders above. I get about 24 mpg on average but thats driving a combination of roads and in traffic, you can expect a lot more on a motorway. As said, don't rush into anything, get a good one!

Yep signing a piece of paper means zilch - even with a witness. I know this because of something my solicitor told me recently on a totally different subject matter. -

Its a tricky one. In the past with other cars i've taken people out in it myself and then let them drive a short way third party. I'm not keen but who will buy a car without driving it first? And how do you get fully comp to test drive a car? Is this possible? -
glad you got it sorted, i've left keys in the boot and the ignition loads of times while doing stuff, i'll think twice now! Although i do have two spares........NOT in the car!
