I was with Tesco for my previous car and when I tried to insure the JDM Z with them they were very expensive and not only wanted a cat 1 alarm but also a tracker! My current insurer insisted on seeing the CAT1 alarm certificate which was fitted when the car was imported. As tim said, if there's one on the car already a fitter should be able to verify it for you. Whereabouts are you located?

I sent my mum Atonement on DVD via play.com to France where she lives. My son forgot me - what a surprise! However, he did buy me the Mark Ronson CD last weekend after I mentioned I wouldn't mind listening to it, which was totally out of character as he's never bought me anything for no reason - then again he did ask me a few hours later if I would lend him the money he needs to do his motorbike up!

don't think you'll find an importer that will take your citroen off your hands to be honest. You'll only get shut of it by trading with a dealer who's already got one over here. I would try and sell privately if I were you or do what I did which is (sorry to bore you all again) took out a loan for the full Z amount but made sure it was one that I could make extra payments on with no penalty. Got an importer to find me a car, while I was waiting for it to arrive (12 weeks or so) I sold my existing car privately about 3 weeks before my Z arrived and paid that money off the new loan. It did mean I had to scrounge lifts etc for a few weeks to get to work though.

oh what a shame! Poor you. Like the others said, try pistonheads as it's free, you've nothing to lose. I got quite a bit of interest when I put my type R on there. I would also use ebay classifieds, no bidding involved you just but the price of your car and the good thing is you can put as much info and pics as you like for a very cheap price, I think about £15. I wouldn't even bother with autotrader any more and if I did I would only do the internet bit. Best of luck.

think those need you to actual run wires - i've seen them in argos a bit more expensive that send the message through walls etc without wires. I might get one this weekend and give it a try.

I think the more expensive ones can be used by remote but I don't want the little sod turning the main TV over anyway.

any particular model you'd recommend? Not sure if I'll need a second remote control - don't particularly want him switching it over!

Anyone used one of those magic eye things that mean you can watch your sky in another room? There's no TV connection in my son's room and I was thinking of getting him one as a temporary measure.

I've used super unleaded, bp ultimate etc since I bought the car last year. I thought i might harm it if I didn't but if sarnie's putting 95 in his lambo then bugger it, I'm sticking some in the Z! There's not many petrol stations near me that do super so it's good to know i CAN put 95 in!

I was terrified! Whole house shook, the bed the lights, everything! Thought my boiler was exploding! I'm on my own a lot but luckily my hubbie was home last night. It sounded like a train driving through the house!
