    brand new rays

can you not just say "i reserve the right to end the auction early as item is for sale elsewhere" you then pull it at the last minute - however you do risk losing the bidders that will wait until the end.
  3. Hi Alex, just thought I'd say Hi as you're from a decent part of the world i.e THE NORTH. Yep white is lovely, and yes you're right, you're looking at an import unless you want a new one. We have some import contacts on here if you're interested in going down that route.
  4. leave them to it, it's their loss. Bite your tongue and stay friends, it's not worth the hassle.

    Number plate

I had mine spaced as N11XY on the top line and D (my surname initial) on the bottom. I got stopped. I now have it all on one line through the middle of the square plate N11 XYD - boring but legal. I have a uk style plate on the front.
  6. no need for louis to leave any feedback really as he's got the money for the item. It's could to have the option up your sleeve if he leaves any for you first though!
  7. yep, but we want to see yours! Welcome on board!
  8. you mean you wear shoes in your car? Only joking - but I do take them off before I get in it if I've just cleaned it and my feet are dirty.........
  9. Are you talking about 6 months or 12 months tax? Mines £185 for 12 months.
  10. is yours an import as well? Mines £185 like Tim's so I think it's cheaper if its a sunset!
  11. I think the DVLA site is up to date already so if you put your reg in you can check your tax liability when it's next due. http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/index.jsp Click the above and then click on vehicle enquiry and follow the instructions.
  12. yes you're right - sorry to all you nasty men I didn't mean it.
  13. well yes.............mmm........waffle.......
  14. don't give a refund in my opinion. Just tell him when he can get it like you agreed in the first place. Don't worry about negative feedback unless you've already left positive feedback for him. If he leaves negative for you, you will leave it for him so people don't usually bother. In any event you do get the chance to reply to feedback.
  15. and if you work for the government like I do - we are only permitted the statutory redundancy - they cannot enhance ours as it would come from public money. If ever I get redundant it will only be a weeks pay for every year worked.
  16. I'm wondering how this affects the people with imports who are getting better treatment in some cases (like me). My car is down as Zero emissions and my next years tax due is showing on the DVLA vehicle enquiry page as £185. It will be interesting to see which bracket it falls into when it goes up and if I still get off lighter than some of you others.
  17. Just had the first rant of the day from my other half. someone has told him my car tax is going to be a grand and so he has instructed me to sell it! I told him that firstly he was wrong - but that if it ever does get to a grand then I won't sell my car until he stops spending 2 grand a year on cigs!!!! His typically male answer "but i've always smoked!" - tosser!
  18. Does Big Phill Sell em? My passenger one's split at the end and I've no idea what to get, what size, how much etc.
  19. That is exactly what I think! I could put my three ferraris etc (I wish) in a garage and use them once a week, pootle to work in a 1 litre car and STILL get hammered for tax!
  20. I totally disagree - men are far worse! My husband Mike has a new BMW and it's like a skip. His excuse is that he 'lives' in his car and it's his office. He eats big macs, kentucky fried yuk and god knows what else in there, as well as smokes and throws his rubbish on the back seat - it's gross! I on the other hand have an immaculate car with no crumbs dust or anything. He parks as close to the door of a supermarket as he can and consequently has been hit twice already - I park at the other end and walk! And I know LOTS of men the same as him. It's not a male/female thing it's purely whether you're a car person or not.
  21. yep, I would have said that as long as it's for home/personal use in whatever format that's fine.
  22. I'll let you have 8, 13 and 16 but you need a good slap for the rest!
  23. Yep, the statutory legal requirment for redundancy pay is approx 1 weeks pay for every year you have worked for the company. This is capped now at 330 quid a week. So in other words peanuts unless they enhance it so you need to get that straight firstly. I would also recommend ACAS as a good place for advice and I would echo eveything Andy said too. My hubbie went through something similar a couple of years ago and by the time he came out of the tribunal and paid for the cost of a barrister he came out with £300 but the moral victory was worth it and also the fact that his employers still had to stump up even if we paid most of it out in legal fees. Hope it all works out for you.
