  1. the pearl in the paint on that really stands out. Looks gorgeous. Certainly looks like the pic was taken abroad though - where is it?
  2. you have trusty clarkes shoes in NZ then?
  3. Martin, how can you of all people say the weather will be good? Every time you say that it pees down! It's been the same for the last 3 years in August so far! The weeds in my garden are loving it but the worse thing is not being able to have a clean car for more than a day!
  4. Hi there and welcome. I've got a soft spot for Golfs and have had 2 GTI's but comparing it to a Z is a bit like comparing Clarks to Jimmy Choo's
  5. Which one did you prefer, Nix - Bill or Ben? Cheeky bleeders! Even i'm not old enough for bloody bill and ben! However, I can vaguely remember Mary Mungo and Midge!
  6. that's just wierd but I'm not surprised! I used to like the monkey from pipkins called Topoff or something? Showing my age now!
  7. being a parent has to be the hardest and cruelest job in the world that's for sure!
  8. Fine thanks. Don't worry Louis, i'm used to being ignored by men, happens all the time at home! As long as you're ok and not M.I.A.!
  9. Some friends of my sons in an accident last night. It's been a bad few months for this sort of thing - first his own bike accident, then one of his best mates injured in British Superbikes at Knockhill and still in hospital and now this. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.u ... ticle.html I've no idea what caused it but I draw my own conclusions and it certainly answers the expensive insurance debate - that was just a corsa, imagine them in control of a Zed! I feel so sorry for their parents.
  10. not to mention I was getting worried!
  11. its not that poncy diamond encrusted pink phone that comes with the concierge service is it?
  12. Fiver was the name of the rabbit in watership down. (totally offtopic).
  13. That's exactly what I did - then set up a standing order every month to pay the card. Bell are good but charge a lot for the credit on installments which would probably be quite hefty on that premium.
  14. Missed it - don't even know what night fifth gear is on! Is it repeated?
  15. Bit different to the £6000 quote! I'm with Bell - did they crucify you on the installments? At least you got it sorted!
  16. I use this too. Great big trade size container full - does the job and lasts you ages.
  17. I'd get one myself but I fear I may only manage to attract a chav in a nissan sunny!
  18. the old car looked good and this one looks just as nice so far - do you have to change your username now?
  19. as long as the insurance don't find out you're actually the main driver.....
  20. I knew that Shakespeare I did at school would come in handy sooner or later!
  21. yep precisely - it stops people doing exactly that, insuring an old banger while they drive around 3rd party in their super car. Also as mentioned before, the car MUST be insured in its own right by somebody as well.
  22. would have thought that new film about houdini would be more up your street Stan - set in EDINBURGH in the 1920's. Not that you like Edinburgh that much or anything........
  23. if he does that he can't be the owner of the Z as far as I'm aware so someone else would have to put the car in their ownership and insure it. Driving it third party would be a bit risky? Also it's probaby a bit on the dodgy side fraud wise?
  24. the problem is it's not just your age, length of licence, or mods on the car - its all of them! You're really going to struggle to be fair. As mentioned before try Keith Michaels - they will do the leg work for you to find the best deal but I still think it will be horrendous. Sorry.
