All imports brought in to this country and registered after 1st april 2006 will pay the higher rate of tax, regardless of the age of the car, even if its a '52' plate Not quite right - mine is also registered PLG and so doesn't go on emmissions even though it was imported in 2007.......... mines about £205 a year. There's a few imports on here with cheap tax.

having said that the dent guys did a fab job on my major wheel arch dent and two door dings for only £60+vat so maybe not too bad.

yeah, the attitude makes it even more likely but my guess is his insurance company will say no. If he says he didn't do it and you can't actually prove it then that's that. It does look pretty vicious damage i have to say - not your normal door dings and with a decent gap between the two cars as well! Don't know what your weather's been like but maybe the wind caught his door and smashed it against yours hard. Having said that you'd think if he'd known that and had half a brain he would have quickly cleared off and parked elsewhere! Horrible feeling when your pride and joy gets hurt but hope you get it sorted out soon.

Hi there I came from a CTR and yes the gearbox on there is amazing so it does take a bit of getting used to the change but it shouldn't feel rough and you will soon get used to it. Scotland seems to be the zed capital of the UK - you lot will be able to start your own forum soon!

Even though it appears obvious it was him it is still his word against yours I reckon. This could be tricky so even though you are rightly fuming be careful because it may be just better to get a detailer on it and see if you can sort it rather than risk your no claims etc! But infuriating!

one of our other members Danny got his while posted in Germany so he might be a good person to ask about the things you will need to make it the right spec over there.
