  1. Roads are so much less congested in Europe generally. You can cover great distances relatively quickly.
  2. Stats: 1607 miles. The 350Z makes a great long distance cruiser. 28.6 mpg 5 countries: France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Netherlands. Visit to Nurburgbring Nordschleife (met another 350Z owner there from the Netherlands). Track condition: Wet Followed another driver round. Fortunately he knew the circuit and I simply copied his braking points and dived into corners at the same high speeds as him. Best thing about the circuit is the blind browes, gradient changes and steepness of the bowls.

Hyundai are trying to muscle in. Concept looks good. Would you buy one? http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArtic ... rs/231680/

  6. I have done this day at Brands. They let you drive quickly but not as fast as you might like. VXR8 felt too soft, big and heavy - a real let down. Corsa and Astra were much more fun. Can't beat the day for value for money and they don't have any pushy sales people.
  7. If you do a search, EBC yellowstuff seem to come out with lots of recomendations. That's what I bought and I'm very pleased. Good for road and track.
  8. Just about the best 350Z piggy back system. XS turbo are able to provide full online support.
  9. Milltek recently tested an Audi R8 and found it only had 391bhp instead of the claimed 420bhp. If any of you think that the ECU on your 350Z is adapting to your mods then reset it. It only takes 45 secs. 350Z ECU Resetting Procedures Please read all instructions and be familiar with them before any attempts. A stop watch or an analog clock with a second’s needle will be useful. ECU Resetting Procedures Timing is extremely critical. If it is NOT DONE within the specify time, the ECU will not reset and the Check Engine Light (CEL) will continue to remain ON. A stop watch or an analog clock with a second’s needle will be useful. Operations Procedures 1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ONâ€

    Lotus Eagle

It was not produced partially because it was not enginered for the US. I recently went to the Lotus open day (where I got to sse the M250 close-up) and was given a few details by a Lotus employee about the new Eagle project. V6 engine and not much over 1000kgs should make for a fast car. Being a Lotus the handling will be top notch.
  12. If you live in the US!!! Every 350Z part seems to be cheaper there. Shame about the VAT, duty and postage we have to pay.
  13. One set of brand new Kinetix hi-flow cats. £265 + £12 p&p or collect for free. 02-06 350Z (includes rev-up) These are the very latest 3rd generation Kinetix cats and include fitting bolts. Less than 1/2 the weight of standard cats (approx 7 kg). Info from Kinetix website: NEW improved design Complete set! High flow catalytic converters that will pass emissions testing for 350Z and G35 (2dr and 4 dr) 03-06 *New and Improved with more installation clearance and long term strength ! ** "Spun" cat design has a full stainless construction for much higher strength and flow ** More clearance for easier installation The factory catalytic converters are well known as the biggest "choke point" in the factory exhaust system. These high flow stainless spun catalytic converters blow away the stock converter flow rates while still maintaining legal emissions levels. Constructed with stainless tubing and 3/8" stainless flanges (converters are aluminized steel). Fully TIG welded and true mandrel bends used throughout. These converters will bolt up to any header (factory or aftermarket) and any exhaust (factory or aftermarket). These pipes also retain the factory Oxygen sensor location and WILL NOT THROW A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!!. Expect great performance gains from these converters as they have dyno'd between 6-8 hp at the wheels on factory 350Z's. They only add a slightly more aggressive exhaust note and do not have the pesky "raspiness" between 3-4k rpm that is seen with straight through test pipes.
  14. The weather for Sunday is predicted to be heavy rain and this is a weather dependent event. There is a RWYB next Sunday.
  15. Weather looks as though it will be good. If your going see you there. Don't forget to post your 1/4 mile time tickets up!
  16. There are lots of before and after dyno sheets on US forums and in magazines showing gains for a variety of modifications. Even if you think the ECU is adapting around your modifications it only takes a few seconds to reset it.
  17. Hoping to go myself during the Easter period Check out the following for useful advice: http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/ http://www.northloop.co.uk/

  20. Hi. Could try reading the advice on track day company websites. Some allow you to hire helmets on the day others require you to bring your own. Make sure any helmet you buy has a minimum of the ACU sticker on it. Motorsport helmets will have codes such as: Snell SA2005 and SFI/FIA approved. Chris
  21. If you want training then either CAT or drifting/rallying schools would be able to help. You could try this (at your own risk of course): Find big island with no other traffic. Need traction control off. Go round in a low gear, induce oversteer with throttle and apply opposite lock as needed. If it is wet you can achieve this at lower speed. An airfield track day allows you to play with understeer/oversteer in relative safety.
  22. I have always loved this car. I have seen it at various shows and on the back of transporter on the M1! Very Zagota-esk Recent article http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArtic ... rs/229358/ Manufacturer: http://www.connaughtmotorco.com/images2/top.gif
  23. Looks great! Sounds amazing!!! Shame it will be way out of my price bracket, price will be higher than GT-R.
