  1. I would probably do something different altogether, but from your options have gone for option 4. Youve aleady had 2 Zeds, so why have two hardtop sports cars when you really want a convertable hairdressers car!
  2. Hi and Good luck with your search. Might be selling my 2005 GT4 next month Getting the wheels redone first - see my other thread......
  3. Totally agree about keeping standard if selling, but thing is their 'standard' silver looks significantly lighter than my GT4 wheels and I'm worried it wont look right. They dont do colour matching (dont know if any wheel specialists do), so whatever I choose wont be standard anyway. I was thinking about the black chrome as they are still silvery but a bit darker and think they would look good. If I really like them (and my back gets a bit better), I may end up keepig it a while longer anyway
  4. Ive decided to get my wheels refurbed before I sell my car. Ive found a place which is near where I work called Lap Tab, they seem professional and I have found some positive reviews. The question is they only do certain colours, so I cant get them refurbed to the exact same colour and need to decide which colour will look best. Pics of wheel colours on link below: http://www.lap-tab.co.uk/alloywheels.php My Car is a Black GT4. I have a favourite but wonder what others think.
  5. The general consensus is get it sorted then, so can anyone recommend wheel repairers in the Solihull/Birmingham area? Ive got a GT4 with the ltd edition wheels and I seem to remember a thread on here in the past with people having difficulty getting a good repair/colour match on these wheels. Ive got a mate who works for chipsaway so ill have a chat with him, but he's not local unfortunately. Trev - thanks for that. I had an MRI 2 years ago when it first started which showed nothing, but its worse now so maybe they will find something this time.

If I sell my Z I will probably be taking mine off and selling it seperately. Not sure when this will be happening yet though so cant promise anything.....
  7. I think the only auto Civic is in the petrol 1.8 which is too weedy Same bhp as the diesel but only half the torques. I dont mind the look of the new Lexus, but mf g'f hates it...might still have a look tho. The main reason for the Golf is the DSG box...I really quite liked it and every other auto ive driven ive hated. In the last 2 years ive seen 2 physiotherapists, a chiropractor, accupuncturist, neurologist, rheumatologist and osteopath! After all that its still getting worse and I had an MRI scan last week and get the results on Friday......
  8. [quote name="H5" A CLK 270 CDi wouldn't be a bad shout, but it depends how much of the boy racer is left in you!! You mean like this one......are they any good? http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/328536.htm Looks quite nice in an old man kind of way, but looks comfy and is auto. What are they like for performance and economy. Will do some googling....
  9. Thanks for the comments guys. I spent an hour driving a passat and golf on Saturday and felt really comfortable. There is quite a lot of adjustment in the seats, and the steering does rake/reach too. I got back in the Zed to drive home and within 5 mins I was in pain....maybe it was just coincidence. I had an A4 Sport before the Zed, and found the ride hard and seats uncomfortable to be honest........ Dont snigger, but I test drove a Honda Civic too and that was really comfortable, but they only do manuals. Not really sure what to do for the best, but I cant justify spending any more than my cars currently worth.
  10. I have been thinking of selling the Zed for a few months now, partly for financial reasons but mostly now because I have a back problem which also gives me pain in my left arm and leg. It seems to be getting worse and I dont think the car is helping. So dull I know, but was thinking about getting a more comfortable car, and a quick-ish diesel to reduce costs. I also think an auto would help. Ive never liked them, but Ive had a drive in a VW with the DSG gearbox and quite liked it. This led me to the Golf 170 Tdi DSG, but they are quite expensive and poorly equipped, so now i'm thinking of sticking with Petrol and going for a Golf GTi with DSG so I still get to keep some performance as well. This brings me on to selling the 350Z. As the car I will be buying will be cheaper, I'm only going to get a crap px from dealers so would rather sell privately. Its due a service in 1500 miles, I have a warranty issue with a blocked winscreen wiper jet, and unfortunately the alloys are scuffed (one of them badly). Most of these were done before I bought it and ive just never got round to getting them done. The car also has the usual stone chips and a couple of tiny car park door dings you can only see when its clean in sunlight. Other than that is is in excellent condition and has been looked after and cleaned regularly inside and out. My question is, do I get the car restored to mint condition before I advertise it (will sort the wipers anyway), or do I just sell it as it is for a few hundred pounds less. I dont really want to fork out on getting alloys refurbed etc if I wont get the money back on the sale. Any comments on selling appreciated, or on my replacement car options. Also, would I be better off waiting a few months to sell? There seems to be quite a few Zeds for sale at the moment. Cheers
  11. Lexx I had one of the first RX8s back in 2003 for 2 years. Had my Zed now for 18 months and whilst they are both good cars, the Zed definately floats my boat more I used to average around 18-19 mpg in the RX8 on my normal driving routes, in the Zed I average 22-23mpg so its a little better than the RX8 on fuel for me. Its more telling on long journeys though, as around 80/85 mph I can get 30+ mpg out of the Z, never got more that 25 out of the Mazda. If you dont need the back seats, the Zed is definately the car to have
  12. 159 Brera There's just something wrong with the Brera's looks from the A Pillar backwards. The 159 is the prettiest 4 door saloon in production by far. From a looks point of view I would 'want' one far more than any regular 3 series, A4 etc All IMO of course
  13. Just noticed looking at my bank statement that Virgin Wines have taken £20 off my card this month as a 'repeat payment' - Not happy I remember seeing this when I bought the discounted case, but I was careful to make sure I didnt click on anything to agree to this. Obviously they must have something in the small print or have just made a mistake. Ive emailed them to request the money back, as I definately didnt ask to sign up for this. For those of you who ordered wines, best check your bank accounts too unless this was something you wanted to sign up to......
  14. Ive ordered the 31mm ones from ebay as they are cheap. Blue and white to see which I prefer......
  15. I think a lot of it is just down to the builder and the contractors they use, and not particularly relevant to the cost of the house. Bought a new build in 2004 with my ex - a luxury 4 bed detached build by Charles Church (now owned by someone else I think). Had lots of snagging problems, and the neighbours all had loads of problems too We split up last year and I bought a much cheaper 3 storey townhouse built by miller homes which has had vertually nothing wrong with it in 18 months apart from a couple of really minor issues which they have sorted straight away. Must same ive been impressed with Miller, though dont know if they are the same all over the country.
  16. Thinking finally getting round to doing this. Just looking on the autobulbs direct site and noticed these: https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/produ ... t=0&page=1 I notice they are 38mm not 30mm like the recommended ones, so does anyone know if they will fit as the look as if they are brighter bulbs? Thx
  17. I got stuck in the snow Sunday eve, forgot how bad the Z was in snow The g/f had to get out and push me up the hill! ...and before anyone says anything, I offered to push but she was too scared to drive the Zed in the snow........
  18. The Winebank works by debiting you £20 per month, then crediting your account with £20 every 3 months. Once you have signed up and started paying, you can order whenever you want. I got a similar initial offer a couple of years ago, and bought a very cheap case of wine. I used to order fairly regularly from Virgin, but have found lately that prices in the likes of Tesco or Lathwaites are often equally competitive and I don't have to buy a whole case at a time (which is not so good if you discover you're not too keen on a particular wine and you have three or four bottles to get rid of). Oh, and as others have said, they deluge you with emails and offers forever more. not for me then You dont have to subscribe to the winebank £20 per month, just take the £50 credit to your account. If you then buy a case for £59.99 plus £5.99 p&P you are getting 12 bottles of wines for £16 which aint bad imho......
  19. Prepare for your doorstep to 2 foot deep in junk mail from Virgin and your inbox full. Good job I gave them an email address that does not pass go and goes straight into my deleted items then.... Twelve half decent bottles for £40 quid is worth a few junk mails I suppose.
  20. Blimey, first thread I ready after coming back from holiday Sounds like a win win situation hopefully. Post up some pics of the fezzer then

My girlfriend has just bought one. Not driven one before, but weve tried a few recently and I love 'em. Bl00dy expensive/hold their value well for their age (depending on how you look at it). Was about to put down a deposit on a red one last week, when this lovely black one came along...... http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/265812.htm As everyone knows black cars look better and are faster! Anyone else got one?
  24. Havent been on the forum much recently, and really gutted to come back and see this. It makes me mad just looking at those pics and knowing how you must feel. Agree with most of the sentiments on here, no punishment is severe enough to deal with the scum that does this Crime against property is in no way dealt with seriously enough in this country (along with many other things......) Hope it doesnt cost too much to get it sorted......
