  1. Thanks for the replys , and cheers for the offer Mike Not flying until the last week of October so cant take you up on it but thanks anyway. I think I may have a friend mad enough to give me a liftthere and back at the moment which may solve the problem.
  2. Just booked a two week holiday, but flying from Manchester so gotta drive up from the midlands. Any recommendations of secure car parks for the Zed for two weeks? Ive heard horror stories in the past for some of these off site car parks where some scrote who works there 'borrows' your car whilst you are away so i'd like it tucked up safe somewhere where I know nobody is going to nick/damage/drive it while im away.

I test drove one before getting the Zed and was a bit underwhelmed. Sounded nice though and probably the pick of the bunch for a hot hatch. I came up against an orange one a while ago on a long straight and it was neck and neck. He did have some sticker on the back from a tuning company so Im guessing he was chipped. They definately can be quick.
  4. Mmmmm....Monaro VXR That's one car I would changed the Zed for if I needed the practicality and could afford the fuel bills. A lot of performance for you £. Gotta be Black though
  5. Very true people dont know what the Zed is. Pulled up at a pub last weekend and we sat in the beer garden. An older couple around late 50s were next to us and the chap said to me 'gorgeous car what is it' as he hadnt seen one before. He looked shocked when I said it was a Nissan, and said to me 'oh - I thought it was a BMW!'
  6. Just had mine done and I havent even got a spoiler
  7. Zorst is just slang for exhaust (ex-zorst) as far as I am aware. And Pop Charger is what JWT call thier air filter..... http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/custom ... PartID=350
  8. Ive had two Impreza's, a WRX with PPP and an STi. Enjoyed them both at the time but much prefer the Zed now, in fact its the best car ive owned. For 1-2 years old you should be able to get a MY06, or MY05 GT4 (like mine) with the 296bhp engine. Car up to and inc 2005 (with exception of the GT4) had 280bhp, the new 2007 model has 309bhp. Have a look on www.pistonheads.com, lots for sale on there - thats where I found mine. I wouldnt be too concerned about 1 owner personally, mine had two owners, but doesnt really make much difference on a 1 year old car still under warranty. Personally, I would say running costs are similar to previous subaru's....
  9. Hi and I'm beginning to think that Kuro GT4's are the rare ones now
  10. Did the same back in '99. Had a great time. Enjoy.
  11. Dave Grohl - Respect Easily the best band at Live Earth. Havent the Foo's got a new album out soon.....
  12. I test drove an Elise 111S last weekend as I was getting "urges" about other cars. It does handle well and has very direct steering, but it didnt feel any faster than the Z to me. It had a sports exhaust but I didnt think it sounded very good, and had a horrible boomyness around 3-4k which would be very annoying. The guy said it could go back to std, but then it would sound like a hairdryer. Havent been in an Elise for about 6 years, and forgot what it was like. This one had aircon, elec windows, central locking and carpets! All in all good fun, but it didnt make me want it........ Am thinking about going to drive a Tamora, but not sure if thats a good idea.....
  13. More information than we required, Mark! I wont mention the curry the night before then
  14. Funnily enough I was reading the Evo lap times around Bedford this morning whilst on the throne. I noticed that the Boxster S was several seconds faster than the 350Z. That was the new 2007 Zed and I think the latest boxster too. Got me thinking about getting a T350C....saw onle the other day and was very I must admit I do like the lastest evolution of the Boxster, much more than the earlier ones.

  17. I would have been up for that but have arranged to go camping in wales now instead - so hope it doesnt rain What happened to everyone else, there were over 20 people on the original list
  18. No noticable difference with my JWT popcharger, other than poorer fuel consumption which i think is something to do with me planting my right foot at every opportunity to hear that induction noise Worth every penny IMHO
  19. shame...understand your reasons, but i would have been happy with a decision the week before if it definately looked bad,
  20. My left hand side wiper is not squirting any water. The washer tank is full, and ive checked for any obvious loose connections. The right hand side works fine (which is fortunate as its the driver side ) Anything else obvious I can check or is it a back to the dealer job. Half of my windscreen is completely smeared in bugs at the moment!
