How strange, I drove from Brum to Stansted 2 weeks ago to pick up my first Zed!! So thats two GT4's in Brum Where abouts in brum are ya? Im Solihull way Sarnie. Saw another Kuro GT4 around here a couple of weeks ago, probably just passing through. Congrats to Burgershot BTW, you have a cracking Zed -
Mine had 2 owners, I agree I wouldnt let that put you off. Seems a bit expensive though, but not really sure of how much the Nismo Kit and Alloys should add to the price. Stealers will charge a premium for it when selling and then tell you its worth jack when you trade it back in!

I recon I saved about £3.5 to £4k with buying and selling privately instead of trading at a dealer - I'm a tight bugger me! -

I considered this one when buying mine as its only down the road from me, lovely car but I thought it a bit overpriced IMHO. Have you considered buying private? There's quite a few on www.pistonheads.com which is where I got mine from. I ended up with a newer lower mileage car than I would have got from a dealer..... -
People keep asking me "How fast does it go" too. I dont know why but it really annoys me , who really cares what the top speed is anyway. Cant they think of anything more interesting to ask? You cant get anywhere near it on a public road or most circuits!

Mee too Looking forward to fitting them on Saturday now. Hopefully it will stop my brother in law pointing at the Nissan badges and calling it a Datsun!

Just got mine from Tim, and can vouch for the fact they are a perfect fit for the Z and has been very useful already

Decisions, Decisions...... Cant decide which I prefer now between Mike's and Thingys? Think I'll get two packs just in case........

Thanks for replies. Very impressed Mr Thing! Like the way you have done the vertical bars as well How long did it take you to do the whole thing? and do you need any tools or just a sharp pair of scissors?

Went to look for one in my local Halfords yesterday, couldnt find it and the assistant didnt know about it either Is it worth me trying another store, or are these plastic ones from the US on ebay any good? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-350-Z ... dZViewItem

Whats their URL? Do you mean the US site www.performancenissan.com ? Ta

Cheers Mike, quite like the look of that. Is it just stick on tape? Like the C/F front lip you have there too! I can see this car is going to cost me money
-

Yeah I know Just wanted to spend a bit of time getting used to the car before I press the button so I dont end up going through a hedge backwards! Are there many horror stories of people loosing control with the TC off, like there are on the S2k forum? Yeah Ive got the GT4, they made 176 of them in 2005 and have the 300ps (297bhp) engine thats now std in the 2006 model. Some rumours of 2007 changes have been reproted on here as well. -

Re Golf Clubs - dont play but i beleive this is true. Theres a sticker in the boot of mine showing you how to do it! Comparing with the RX8, obviously the torque of the Z is such you dont have to work the gears as hard to make progress, but if you do it sounds GREAT, much better than the RX8 (even with the RB exhaust I had!). The Z feels MUCH faster in a straight line, not come up against an RX8 yet but feels like it would destroy it (Ive got the 300bhp engine). The Zed is more tail happy but the TC/DSC cuts in too soon and doesnt let you play as much as the RX8s did. Interiors are about on a par, the RX8 uses slightly better/softer plastics and has nicer ambient lighting, but I prefer the look/feel of the Zeds cockpit. The 06 model adresses some of the interior issues. Handling wise (after 12 months in an understeery A4 diesel) the Zed is a revelation. Possibly not as nimble (due to the weight) as the RX8, but still turns in well and feels keen to change direction. Looks wise I preferred the RX8 when they both came out, but to me I dont think it has aged well for some reason. Maybe it is just they are now so common (a la TT) but they dont do anything for me now, whereas the Zed is still comparitively rare and has grown on me as a much more aggressive shape. I get lots of admiring glances in the Zed, much like when the Rex first came out. Im getting 22-24 mpg urban on my work run, where my Mazda was 18-19, and got 32mpg on a run last week with the Mazda never acheiving over 24mpg in 2 years so the Zed wins on fuel, but is slightly offset by needing Super. The RX8 always comes out well on track times (eg Top Gear) and often does comparable times with the Zed, but I actually think the Rex is possibly the better track car, but the Zed definately the best road car. All in all I love it and think if you dont need the rear seats of the RX8 then the Zed is definately the more preferable car for me. I just want to drive it all the time! Just get one! -

Do it mate you wont regret it I had an RX8 for two years and was one of the founders of the OC. Ive only had mine a week and the Zed is a completely different experience to the RX8 but I love it! Oh, and its got to be BLACK -
Ive just realised Nissan only give you a stingy one year roadside assistance so it has run out on my car. I want to get some cover sorted, so are Nissan Assist (RAC backed I think?) any good or would I be better off going to one of the big boys. For the full package the prices I have got from the web are: AA - £124.88 RAC - £117.75 Green Flag - £57.75 Green Flag seem very cheap so are they any good, or is there anyone else to check out? Or will my Zed be so reliable I wont need any cover?

Can everyone pay the man cos I want my Badges

Not sure.....I had one on my RX8 (Said RX8 obviously!) and always used to see people pointing at it in my rear view mirror. (Either that or they were pointing at me saying what a tw4t I was )
