Sorry guys my 'notification mails' haven't seemed to be getting through - hence the tardy reply. Well the Bike is a 56" Specialized .. and in the garage sitting next to my MTB it looks bigger .. but you have now challenged me - in fact i should have tried it for both as i need to get my MTB into the back MORE than the road bike. I shall try this weekend and take some more pics (only if succesfull of course - if not i will just 'say' i did it and run away)

Rear looks like a BMW 6 Series - which is about the ONLY BMW i can stand on the roads (mainly because my mate has one and he's a nice guy) however the word BMW just came into my head so now i'm off to be sick.

Well the only reason to put the bike in the back of the Z is that i've got two competitions this year and they are both at least 200 miles from my house - and the wife has said that in NO way am i leaving her with '... that car with two kids - you did after all chose to get YOURSELF a 2 seater' Taking the bits off the bike - takes approx. 1 min - and angling it down under the brace and into position takes approx. 1 min. So it really isn't bad at all ! I am so surprised - i just HAD to share !

Well after a bit of searching and a few suggestions to remove the spare wheel and strip my bike down to component parts - i tried getting my bike into the back of the Z. Well all i had to do was remove the seat post, pedals and wheels - taking all of 10 seconds ..... and .... Ta DA !! The only bit removed from the Z was the little boot cover bit that sits at the bottom of the rear windscreen. So proof after all - as if it were needed - that the 350Z is practical too ! 54" Specialized road bike. FACT !

cool - thanks .. i was just under the impression that once someone takes out all the gubbins (whether it be Bose or whatever the country of origin specs) the hole that is left will be the same and a 'standard' double DIN blank bracket would allow the user to add whatever Double head unit they wanted. No probs - however i have to say ... Yours STILL looks really GOOD ! B)B)

can i ask (as i'm thinking about doing the same thing) what the double din blank bracket/thingyamajig you used !? BTW - looks V V V mate !

thanks there's just an AWFUL LOT of reading in some of those posts - was just being lazy and wanting to know the answer at some point before 2009 (which is when it would have been if i had ever bothered to read through ALL that info)

Hi Guys Had an RX8 (as some of you will already know) before the Z and i've got a ton of oil that i stockpiled for it. Even got quite a load from Oilman (at least i think it was him on the RX8 forum) and basically i'm wondering if i should just donate it to my mate who's now got an 8 or use it myself. It is all 5W-30 (some Motul and some others are Shell Magnatec etc. stuff from Halfords) Been reading that the best suggestion for the Z (on other threads) is 5W-40, but being a complete oil-ignoramus i don't know if the 5W-30 would either be bad for the Z or just 'overkill' that wouldn't harm it at all - just not give any specific improvement and therefore not recommended as it would only be a 'waste' - if you know what what i mean !?!? thanks for any help.

Why thank you ! And i've just cleared out the Garage - so i can tinker inside to my hearts content and not in the open where my neighbours stare at me like i am a 12yr old with a tonka toy.

OK so we have established that Stuey has two 140Gb Hard drives in his computer and is male and probably watches TV now and again oh yeah and he breathes and has a pulse .... well done. I think he was meaning 280GB hard disk space on his computer .. not 280GB Ram like you have presumed.

Well i hope it's legal i've been using one in the front of my Z and almost every other car i've had since the kids were born. I think the only type of kiddy seat you aren't allowed to put in the front is the rear facing ones for babies if you have a front airbag that won't switch off.

if they do do this - they will HAVE to get every car fitted with a limiter to not allow you to stray over speed limits whatever the limit is on that road - otherwise they will be raking in the cash as every woman and man even the most careful will stray over the limit at some point ................... oh ... hold on ... now i see ..... aaaahhhh ..... it's almost as if ....... no hold on .... that would be silly ....... nah .. the government would never want to do that ... would they !?
