  1. Was that at Westyre on the Western Ind estate?
  2. Yes that is certainly one of the more spectacular cars doing the hills. It's reputed to have around 700 bhp!!
  3. Nissan told me today that they wont replace under warranty as its not part of bodywork. My car is just over 4 yrs old so if it was still in the 3 yr warranty then they would have been replaced. Same goes for the wheels. The price for the wiper arms are £85 +vat for drivers side and £69+vat for the other Anyway stuff nissan, i went to Renowheels in Bridgend and they are going to redo my wiper arms for £15 and get a few marks out of a wheel for £30. Happy days all round Good for you.. I've used Renowheel myself in the past and they do a really good job.
  4. It is still a new front and rear clam shell, so going to be pretty expensive..... I'm sure it will be and I'm glad I don't have to pick up the bill, but I was more referring to the fact that he walked away from it without any injury
  5. No I tend to stick to sprints mainly. I quite often spectate at Prescott though and a good time for my class seems to be around a 42 secs.
  6. A wise choice And if you still have any doubts, keep in mind that this little beauty would be in the same class as a modded Zed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYgsi6Wv ... re=related
  7. depends what you intend doing with the Zed Hillclimbing/sprinting/trackdays (probably in that order too) Don't know what the regs are nowadays but when I used to hillclimb a looooooooooooong time ago, stripping out seats etc etc put you in a different and far more competitive class, i stayed in the road modified class and still had great fun That is still the case today. A stripped-out Zed would be in the same class as say a modded Noble of Evo chucking out any thing from 400 bhp upwards, running slicks and considerably lighter to boot.
  8. Not nice, but could have been a lot worse.
  9. Enjoyable read. Sounds like you had fun.
  10. It is fun but quite tight in places and very twisty with blind brows. The last time I drove it was on a night event in a rally car (MK11 Escort) and that was tight in places so the Zed will be harder work again. Don't be put off though, it'a a brilliant road and best approached from Tregaron end.
  11. I can't speak from first-hand experience, but a number of members have used their local Chipsaway dealers quite successfully.
