  1. I have one of these - used on both the VR4 and the Z (and the new car will be done as soon as it gets here ). Zaino'd with before and after pics here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3742 I paid £185 for: the polisher & kit as above, plus lead and transformer delivered. Well worth the money, but may cause anally retentive polishing fetish.
  2. to a driveway... well outside my bedroom window actually...
  3. Holy Poo! I always thought 'First To See Will Buy' was code for 'Don't even bother looking at this - it's a piece of tat'... Well, first to see did buy And a lovely person too - always a bonus! SOLD SOLD SOLD
  4. RS6??? Ha! Yow moost think oim considerably richer than yow No, it's a bit older but similarly powered...perhaps a bit more...watch this space
  5. It is It is a beast, but it's subtle - no chav harrasment in this car! Just wait until you see the replacement.....
  6. On the off chance that any of you are on the lookout for something that will carry the dogs to and from muddy fields at breakneck speed... my VR4 is up for sale: Mitsubishi Legnum VR4 2.5l V6 Twin Turbo What the press say about the VR4... Autocar: “it stands shoulder to shoulder with the Evo, Subaru Impreza Turbo and Nissan Skyline GTR as an all-wheel-drive road rocket that’s as fun to drive as it is safe. And, as a comfortable, practical all-rounder, it trumps even themâ€
  7. I don't condemn them for eating dolphins, although I personally wouldn't want to. It's the way they hunt and kill them- bloody savages. If you're going to kill something, make it quick and as painless as possible. I know it's not the only dreadful thing being done to animals out there, but you have to start somewhere. The 'what about battery hens/seals being clubbed' etc etc cry doesn't cut it with me - if you're bothered by these things, then do something about it. Just because a couple of hundred other women are going to be raped in the world tonight isn't going to stop me helping my neighbour if they happen to be one of them.
  8. Well, thinking of buying myself one of them pumps, so thought I'd check out the feedback from others who'd bought one :D... I may have said too much... Actually, someone else posted it on another forum I play on.
  9. ... have small willies! Got to http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari- ... dZViewItem Click on the seller's feedback, and have a look at the last item he bought
  10. I haven't been around for a while, so late seeing this thread, but... what kerbside motors said - You can often disassemble the bearing/hub assembly yourself (hammer and chisel on my mitsi!), although a press makes things easier. New bearings tend to cost around the £30 mark so even if you pay your local machine shop an hour's labour to do it, you'll still be quids in. Haven't needed to do the Z, but at those prices, it's the route I'll be taking when the time comes.
  11. If any of you lurk on other forums, I'd appreciate it if you spread the word - signatures are starting to pick up quickly now
  12. A serious post from me for a change: http://www.divemagazine.co.uk/news/article.asp?UAN=3468&v=2&sp= Click on the 'watch video clip link' - if you can watch the whole thing, then you've got a stronger stomach than me . Then sign the petition. Perhaps Sarah Kenedy could mention this one on BBCR2 as well...
  13. We've got GSD3's on the front - brilliant as usual. The bloke we bought the car from had just bought a set of RE050's for the back, so I haven't been able to justify replacing them yet - at around £270 a pop (Nismo 19 inch alloys) it's no small matter. I wil *never* by bridgestone rubbish again ! A track day or two down the line, and we'll definitely have GSD3's all around. I have them on my VR4 - got around 18K out of the 1st set, and have just bought another set. Fantastic in the wet & dry. Only negative I've heard about them is the sidewall is a bit soft, so the tyre rolls a bit - only really noticable on track days (from the Mitsi Evo crowd).
  14. I don't think you can argue that BM know how to make good cars, and their engines are amongst the best in the world. In fact, their chasis and engine men are so good that Audi (well VAG) poached a couple to work on the RS4 and R8 (BM has since poached the chassis man back!). I don't like the shape of any of the new BM's, particularly the 5 series and above, but I don't doubt that they're excellent cars, and you'd have to be a good driver in a similarly spec'ed to car to get the better of them. There's a reason that they're so popular. Plenty of people tune their BM's - you can bet that there'll be a host of well researched, well supported aftermarket upgrades for the new TT beemer very shortly, and believe me, it's amazing how much difference even a few psi extra boost make to a turbo'd car. I also think that the badge conscious (many BM drivers I suspect) end up missing a lot - I'll stick with the Z and the VR4, and maybe one day I'll have the cash for a skyline or an RS4!
  15. http://video.google.ca/videosearch?q=borat for some tasters
  16. I've heard similar things from the boys aty WRC, who also said that Porsche figure were very accurate. Fair variation between differnt makes of dyno's too, so make sure you use the same one every time if you're tuning.
  17. Here's plenty of our GunMetal NISMO - including the alloys. Sadly not the best quality - too much JPEG compression. Will do a proper job next summer CLICK
  18. I thought you boys owned the outside lane...
  19. Pretty impressive. Cost compared to the APS twin turbo setup...?
  20. Feck. Just spent £600 quid on a full exhaust for my favourite car. Wish I had some left over for this
  21. Wish they'd sort out the final price. Have heard around £70K, which puts it pretty close to the R8...
  22. The weekend before we had the Llandow (virtually-z-less-apart-from-me) track day, the hairy police fellows had been at the circuit learning to drive their new EVO's. It's not playing fair, I tell you - who told them that volvos and mondeos in drag (x-types) were crap
  23. Cha-ching http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/pages/liv ... _a_source= and some hope... http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/pages/liv ... ge_id=1770
  24. Set aside 20 minutes, get a box of tissues and be prepared to weep with joy Ford GT40 gets two turbos: http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?doc ... 2289885249
  25. £20800 for a 2002 import... no matter what it's got stuck onto it...
