Have you tried the Admiral Group (Admiral/Bell/Elephant)? They have always been cheapest for me. Only issue is they dont replace mods on a like for like basis I renewed mine last month for £950 - all mods covered like for like with Chaucer Insurance.

Possibly if you cleaned them after every single journey but otherwise I'm dubious. I don't know anyone who's successfully got Volks through a British winter. Im about to try Mine does not have a polished lip though

I think the Pac adaptor wont be needed. From memory it is only connected to the bose amp & im sure the non bose cars dont have the amp. I could be completley wrong though
