  2. I'll definately be in the minority but I prefer it without the hard cover I think the S2k pulls off a hard cover much better, love the Z4 as a soft-top though
  3. Even easier rememdy. Wind down the window all the way without autodown (hold button all the way down), then wind them all the way up without autoup (hold button all the way up) and hold for a few seconds at the top. This needs to be done whenever you disconnect the battery
  4. Yes, thats why I waited for it, but they are only on MY10+ 370z, not in 350z
  5. I think D2 started off as a generic brake thats been rebranded, loads of them about. Personally I'd go for the KSport from Mitz@CS. They will be about the same but at least he's a known trader and Bennett has given his a ragging and they are still going strong. You also know you can get replacement pads and discs for them as they are the same fitment as the AP brakes. Akebono equally are a good call as they are just 370z brakes, so there will be a lot of options for pads and discs turning up soon. You also know with these as they are spec'd for the 370z that the bias is right and wont upset the car as the weight of the 350z is almost identical to the 370z. If you do want the Akebono, maybe try Lee and see if he's broken a 370z recently as he will do them cheaper. You'd then just need to get the brackets and some aftermarket discs. Probably cheaper than shipping a kit from the US. Depends how good a deal someone like Tarmac can do you I guess.
  6. Strange one, think I'd get it to the dealer when you can just to be sure
  7. Its not a true BBK as they are just standard (UK) 370z brakes. They are equivelant to the 370z as Brembos were to the 350z , standard over here but upgrade to the US base cars. So bigger than a standard 350z Brembo brake, but not BBK in my mind. Certainly have more stopping power than the Brembo's but suffer a bit of loss of modulation.
  8. Was it wrapped in about 4ft of foam? My engine cover was, best packaging I've every see
  9. Thats what happens when you customise the forum
  10. Think Neil is hinting to the fact that Alex's monster 350z roadster is quicker around Knockers than his GTR and IIRC doesnt have a monster brake kit
  11. Who let you in the Team Area? Well done bud, I've crossed into a new special category too, but I'm not changing my name to pink
  12. Many Happy returns Test out the Tapatalk app and try to break it? On second thoughts, no dont
  13. Testing testing from my iPad
  14. Right re-tested it and it was user error on my behalf. It must cache all the threads it reads when a certain user, so if I give a test user mod permissions then remove them, it will still show threads that were downloaded when it was a mod. Clearing the cache between changes meant it followed the security properly So I've renabled it. If you have the app, search for "350z" and you will see the forum on the list
  15. Thats why the team never really got around to it, we all found the normal skin fine on the phone. Plus people who are worried about data usage may want to either check their actual usage again and then moan at their phone manufacturer for not caching the files if they are using a lot as 99% of the site content (bar the text basically) is cached or should be. So once you download the image files/css/etc you shouldnt download them again for a week (thats how long browsers are told to hold the images, I will likely up this to a month now). Even then it will check to see if they've changed before downloading so even then shouldnt download them I think iPhone has a limit of 25kb for files it will cache, so we try to keep as much below that as possible.
  16. Not for long Just testing it and so far its failed the permissions test (although it may be down to caching in the app - but for now I dont trust it with out setup)
  17. This. And to be fair when we first discussed it, it had only been released for like a month and was iPhone only. We didnt like the idea of installing unknown (at the time) code, but now its much more developed we can look at it again. We have quite a few permissions/groups set up and wanted to know it would handle them properly. I've got 2 weeks off over xmas, so I'll see if I can get some time to give it a trial if the rest of the team agree to it
  18. Not heard that before. When does it happen? Happening when stationary would suggest to me that an air feed pipe or plenum could be loose. Does it get louder when you give it some throttle? As Geoff says get it back to the dealer, should be an easy fix.
  19. Good work guys @ Abbey Would be good to make some details available to others as Martin says
