  2. Sounds interesting, make sure you post loooooots of pics
  3. throwing shapes? Please take a video of that! +1 - think we'll have to youtube it
  4. +1 Shame Centrafuse is no longer a beta and we have to pay for it! Just waiting for my current beta to expire and then have to crack open the wallet. Tis damn good s/w though, so I dont really mind paying.
  5. I think he was refering to the free Comma Oil that comes with the recharge kit at Halfrauds
  6. PAC do some units, mainly the PAC SWI-JACK and SWI-ALP I beleive. IIRC they are units that you teach the commands to. You connect the wires from the steering control to the box, tell it a command (say Vol+) and then hit it on the steering wheel controls. It pics up the command and knows what to do when you hit it again. The JACK and ALP are different versions which have the right connector for the HU. I know a couple of guys on here have fitted them with success.
  7. I'll try and answer what points I can. Running costs are very reasonable for a 3.5l V6. I can get 30MPG from mine, with a variety of motorway and town driving. This means a £60 fill up will last me about 380 miles atm, so very similar to the ATR. There are a few small nasties lurking about, all of them are fixed under warrenty iirc. From tyre feathering to clicking rear axels. Do a search on here and it will reveal more. You wont get much extra power from her as the ECU is self "leveling". This means any mods you add it will cancel out as the ECU learns them. I'm not 100% sure on this one, but someone will correct me if its wrong. Insurance wise, I'm 24, 2yrs NCB and 0 points and I pay £535 with Elephant

    Insurance

Thats cheaper than I pay for my Zed alone! (24, 2yrs NCD, 0 points, 20k business miles). I'd be happy with that I guess!
  9. I put ride and handling [again], coming from my SEAT barge (Leon) its much better. But other factors include styling, getting lots of looks, and reasonable cost of service (costs no more than my Leon )
  10. I voted quality of materials for the paint issue. Still trying to save up for my front bumper to have a full repray and paintshield and some other front panels to be treated by chipsaway
  11. Bah! OK then, guess as its going to stealers anyway for a dash rattle on the drivers side, I will inform them to sort the one on the passenger side too. Will obviously check the A-pillar trim and see if theres anything wrong with that too. Cheers guys, just wasnt sure what they would have removed and if they could have broken anything.
  12. Thats exactly the positon I'm in. I have a scheme at work where they put my pension contribution into savings for us for 2 yrs, then on completion you get the lump sum. If my calcuations are right I wont need it all and should have a nice bit of wedge towards new wheels, hopefully timing it with when I need new tyres
  13. I dont get people that dont get Top Gear
  14. I sold mine on eBay for more than I originally paid for it
  15. Cant you edit them if you edit the your first post?
  16. Has to be the ride and handling for me, coming from my barge of a SEAT Leon
  17. And here was me thinking my car simply didnt get excited enough to do it
  18. So Tim's making lights these days is he? Or does he whore his car out to eBayers to make a little extra cash?
  19. Unforunately I wasnt there to see, I went for a wander I did return to find that the remove the panel above the drivers window which forms the A-pillar though, which looked scary! Anyone know if any dash or surrounding trim needs taking off? I did find my cubby hole open when I returned and that was shut to start with! Probably coincidence but I need the facts before I approach the RAC man
  20. Hey chaps (and chappettes), As some of you will have read, I recently cracked my windscreen. Now I took it over to RAC today who replaced without a hitch, or so it seems. The chap that did it seemed very nice and knew his stuff, explaining everything and said the works covered for (I think) 3 yrs, and if I have a prob come back and see them. Now the car looked perfect, made sure I gave it the once over before I left, very happy with it. The problem came when driving home. It appears the dash has developed a new rattle on the passenger side, but its very intermittent and only occurs at certain speeds, above 40MPH and on less than perfect road. Now this rattle was most definately not there before I took it in this morning. What do you think I should do? Should I take it back to RAC, or take it Nissan? I already need to take it to Nissan for another dash rattle on the drivers side, and was thinking that replacing the screen may have just loosened the whole lot off. Its just I have a feeling that the chap at RAC will say its nothing to do with him and dont want to waste my time chasing them to do somehting if they wont. HELP!
  21. Nixy, is this you? Pay no attention to the bad man, Nixy. My sunglasses won't fit in the holder either - it's too narrow for modern glasses! My Oakleys fit perfect, I was supprised to find it was lined too, no scratching them or rattling
