  1. I agree, I'd like to see a subforum for each of the big traders (ESR, Envy, Z1auto, etc etc), in which they can make their announcements stickiest and can also post up about stock levels etc. It will also make it easier for them not to have PMs for everything, and just one place to check for quieries. So option 1 above
  2. Hi Andrew, So sorry to hear this. As you say, Phil is a figher, so just hold on in there and have faith in the big man. All the best from me and Amanda and a speedy recovery.
  3. I have mine set to 6200RPM. Gives me a gentle reminder I'm approaching the redline when having a spirited drive. By the time you get to redline you're well over peak torque theres no point going all the way

    .

TBH, when I last swapped my Rotas over from my Rays, comparing my new fronts to Rays rears (as they are the same width), I couldnt really tell that much difference with tyres on. They probably do weigh a fair bit more in terms of actual weight, but as a percentage difference when you get tyres on, I dont think theres that much in it. IMO of course. Probably talking crap
  5. And a clear fog light
  6. Did you get one of those letters in the post that they were taking about in the news? You been downloading stuff you shouldnt
  7. +1 - WD40 is good for shifting stuck things, but not for greasing it permemantly. Get some proper grease in there if you want it to last
  8. We are only putting off the inevitable. Eventually they will raise them again to the shocking £400 level
  9. Have a great time chaps, get lots of pics. Someone give Phil a prod to ring me too
  10. I wish I could get out of it, but I've been getting out of it for the last month. She's put her foot down now
  11. I find 1st to 2nd less co-operative in the cold too. No griding or crunching though. Just take it easy for the first few minutes til the oil is warm. Also a 53 reg with only 10k miles?! Did that lay unused for a few years?!
  12. Sorry Louis already has him in his stocking for xmas. You have to find someone else
  13. Good news you have them safe and sound. Shame the scum wont get whats coming to them, just a slap on the wrist
  14. Sorry to hear that mate. Dont be too quick to sell it if you arent absoluately desperate for the money. There are a lot of Zeds about atm and prices are at rock bottom, so unless you desperately need the cash, dont do it as you will loose a fortune. You guys should all retrain in Business Intelligence. The sector is still growing and set to be the biggest growing sector in this recession
  15. If anything, it will give you a bit of torque back. Normally less restrictive pipes loose you torque on the Zed as you loose back pressure, so if anything this will give you it back (at the expense of loosing a bit of top end grunt, if you even gained any in the first place, damn ECU)
  16. Horses for courses. Its just an exercise in extracting the most BHP from a 2l engine, which as the others have said is for rallying where the car is based. Just like the Veyron pushes the limits of engineering, so too does this and you pay for it. For a daily driver you are much better off getting the base models and modding them. Can get them up to decent power for no where near the cost. Still keep my Zed though, its much nicer for cruising which is what I have to do most of the time.
  17. , do explain ? ? ? Yeah comon, I'm up for a laugh again

    Holy moly

But thats the point, both wheels have no grip due to the excess power. An LSD will only allow one wheel to spin slighyly quicker or slower than the other. If both are slipping then it doesnt do anything, and both are spinning because of the excess power and the squirming all over the place is because he has no grip. An LSD wond do anything.

    Holy moly

Why would the LSD stop it spinning? I thought LSDs were to stop one wheel spinning quicker than the other around corners. If both are spinning due to too much power, it wont make any difference
  20. Agreed, I like it but for me its too raspy, I prefer the Nismo (if only a bit louder). Still sounds lovely though
  21. The 52 reg is the give away that its an import. 53 are the first official UK cars

Its not a turbo mate, its a SC. Novidem (sp?) were are one point trying to make an OEM warrented SC kit for the Zed that you could buy aftermarket but wouldnt invalidate the warrenty. I think he just needs better TC. Even running a moderate SC kit with no TC, the car will be all over the place. Dont see that as anything fancy TBH. Depending on if the engine is built or not it could be anything from 400BHP to about 600BHP - http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Novidem_Supercharger_Kit
  23. Ditto, I have to go xmas shopping That's my chore for tonight. A full day at work then shopping Although apparently there's 20% off at Debenhams & Marks' tonight and the shopping hours available after work are much less than on a work free weekend so I guess it's not all bad I've got our work xmas meal tonight, so thats something to look forward to. Not looking forward to Sunday though
