  1. Well I'm off. Should be back on later if the hotel internet works! If not see you all Sat or Sun :bye: PS No rain here (yet)
  2. +1 Had it in the Lambo and i used to find myself brushing it the same way whilst at traffic lights. To outsiders it must of looked like I was stroking my car
  3. Oops I never looked at the title before, just saw the list of cars the wheels fit. In which case, then yes they are in the wrong as they are the wrong tyres for the car. They even say that "SOME CARS LISTED ABOVE MAY TAKE A SLIGHT TYRE SIZE" (change?) so they know that other cars would need different tyres. In which case I would say they are completely wrong, listing it with the incorrect tyres, and a potential buyer as you say, would not know any better as they are listed for the specific car. Legally, the items recieved were those that were listed, but I would say they are not fit for purpose. Dont know if that means they have to fix it or what though. Best bet is still to push them and say they are getting very bad press on here and will damage their business, especially as I will tell my mates in MLR not to use them etc. Word passes around the car club world very quickly.
  4. While I agree about Nissan, BM, what you have to remember is they would know it was going on a Zed. So they would know what the application was going to be. Did the seller know what car these were going on? If they did, then that is bad of them, but they seem to beleive that they are the right sizes. The seller, although not the best, has advertised exactly what they were selling. Thats the problem with eBay, while although cheaper than other places, you dont get the confidence of the sale and you have to know exactly what you are after. I would though, approach them and try and guilt trip them into it. As you say, mention that it could be dangerous and may cause an accident as it is outside of spec. Might be able to get them to meet in the middle.
  5. Mines in the loft somewhere, I will donate it to a good cause if I can find it in the loft in my car bits box I found my original one if you want it to test it? You could keep it if you want to give me a discount on testing a new one However I think the thread will be the same with all of them
  6. Red or white would be my choice. Fancy doing mine for a few beers?
  7. I got a 5hr+ journey with my detours en route tomorrow! You pansies will be fine Also, already have my Evotriangle sticker on the back
  8. Not that you get to see it Much better on my R6, you can see them on there
  9. Need to pack, but cant really be bothered! The car is all clean and in the garage. Going up tomorrow and picking up one last mod on the way hopefully
  10. +1 - logically, from a legal standpoint, any of the usual things you'd throw at them dont really stand as they said the sizes and delivered exactly that. They were correct that the fitment is right for the Zed, its just the tyre sizes that are wrong. And if the tyre sizes were right for the Zed, they wouldnt be right for the other cars they list I would guess. I think the only thing you can do is haggle them down as much as possible and see how much you can get the tyres discounted. Mention that you are on here (most active Z owners site in the UK) and that if they arent careful they will get lots of bad press and loose potential customers.
  11. It always rains Adam, its what makes RWD so fun
  12. Still need to seal them though Mart, almost as much a pain in the rear!
  13. Sounds positive bud, just be sure they are doing the complete job the other body shops were quoting for and not cutting any corners. If they dont then its all good
  14. that's answered the question about sitting in wheel arch then Indeed. I would get the trader to confirm that they wont rub though. Adrians were pretty close
  15. Preferably speak to people that run them already or find a relaiable trader that knows their stuff that can offer advise. I have the GTR's in 8.5f/9.5r (18s) and they are spot on. Turn in is a little slower than the Rays but more stable on the other hand. 9f/10r will be even more stable but you will trade off some turn in and agility. Also remember the wider tyres will cost more
  16. And what offset they are. The offset on one might suit the Zed better than the other
  17. Mines in the loft somewhere, I will donate it to a good cause if I can find it in the loft in my car bits box
  18. From what I've heard before its very difficult to smooth the Veilside widebody. It evenutally cracks around the joins.
  19. Either steel or Alu would be cool with me Could you do a more cloudy one rather than polished? Like this
  20. Glad to see you finally got it back mate. I cant imagine how much of a nightmare that must have been not having your car and no contact with the guy doing the work. At least now it is under your control even if the work is being done slower than you want. Cant wait to see it back to glory
  21. Excellent. Any chances you will start selling these? My carbon Nismo ones is showing sign of wear with the chrome coating rubbing off the top, so could quite do with a new replacement and dont fancy paying todays prices for a Nismo, they seem double what I paid
  22. Chris`I
