  1. Keep guessing!! Eh? Do you mean to say now that you do get the shove when the turbo spools?? Last I hear you were running 390BHP, so that is low boost. Low boost should have no discernable turbo rush, as it spools from such low revs. Yes you will have a lot more shove than an OEM Zed but the power should be delivered nice and linerally, not in one lump around 3k revs as an Evo does. If you are getting that hit high up the rev range, then maybe you need it to be remapped

  3. On the tickets front, if its like last year, then there is a club stand entrance which brings you into a nice big car park. In there, you'll find a portercabin, which you can collect you tickets and club stand pass from, and then you can follow everyone else in field to the stands.
  4. Agreed, compared to say a turbo application, its not a lot for quite a lot of money. But I've been informed as daily driving goes, it make a pretty sizeable difference, especially then if you get a lightweight flywheel. Reflashing is pretty new to the UK so we are still awaiting results, but if you fancy doing some homework, check out www.my350z.com , they've seen it all before
  5. Steve, as the others have said, insurance companies will always start with the lowest they think they can offer you. Find examples on the net of similar cars and then push them to up your offer. You should be able to get something decent in these times with £10-11k. Dont know if Tims is still up for grabs but its a stunning example and meticoulsly looked after. No +1 - turn your boost up Martin, or take a ride in an Evo or similar to see what a brutal turbo is At a guess, a low boost turbo Zed wont feel much different in power delivery than a stock Zed, just it has more. It will spool quickly so very linear delivery as OEM. But bigger boost will give you more of a hit as the turbo spools up to boost
  8. As stock, the ECU will allow some gains until the fuel trim gets out of the preset limit (ie you will get more power until it runs as lean as it wants to). Then on it dials out gains. You can now (well new to the UK) have the OEM ECU reflashed and tuned to make best use of the mods. This will net you maybe 20BHP, but gives a much nicer torque curve

  10. Seems a bit low to me. Do you have the aircon on? It can idle lower and rougher with air con switched off

  13. I'm up for stopping at Cherwell. Dont know what time yet, its dependant on how early Rob wants to get there as he was there before the rest of us last year I think, having to get there and set up.

  15. Would be my guess. I think a microswitch somewhere will be sticking and that stops it moving further

  20. Glad to see Rota are consistent I suggest you go with JV-Z as at least you know he has the actual wheels on a Zed with Brembos so you know they fit I run Rota GTR in a 8.5F/9R and find it handles well.
