  1. did they come like that as standard or have you upgraded them to that? Well they arent legal, so I'll leave that to you to decide
  2. I was at Rockingham when he did it, was sooo funny He was very humble afterward and on 5th Gear also about the skill required for drifting at the top level and how he didnt have the feel for it.
  3. No - he is the white Stig, he put it in his book and the BBC fired him over it
  4. We had a reasonable turnout at the NMGB SS meet, but that was a while back, I think we ended up with about 5 cars there too.
  5. I tend to line mine up based on having the cutoff on the top of other peoples number plate. Seems to give enough throw down the road, and also doesnt blind oncoming traffic
  6. Actually the cars are really 40th Anniversary Editions - Nissan EU came up with the "Black Edition" tag - hence why they have 40th Anniversary Edition badges on the back. Quartz (my colour) is the special edition 40th Anniversary only colour. Black Edition is a term that Nissan EU came up with for some reason to match up with the GTR, and decided to do a run of them in black - hence they were all made in advance. It was only when NMGB saw their demo car in Quartz that they decided to offer them in Quartz too, but they all had to be made to order. So a true 40th Anniversary Edition should be in Quartz Surely a Black Edition should be black though that was my point, must be a PITA explaining all that every time Much prefer Colin's white one anyway That would be my choice if I am ever in the position to buy one You miss the point - its says 40th Anniversary Edition on the back, not Black Edition
  7. Yup - bi-xenons are the only way to go really, but not a cheap option. Are you sure they're not just angled down too much? I found mine were too low and when I aimed them up they were much better.
  8. I get about 19MPG atm running around town - but having an auto does help - it trundles around at 2k RMP

  10. And therefore the oldest... not something to shout about really... Well actually yes and no. All the black ones were made in advance, so they are all quite a bit older, mine was the first made to order
  11. What a great day out. After the dissapointment of Goodwood, I would say this more than made up for it Was good to have a nice little turn out and our little line looked great. Did anyone go out for a pax lap in the SLS?
  12. They wind me up a treat too. In Basingstoke, theres a cracking road down to Alton. Its notorious with bikers as a great drive, and I love to ride/drive down there. I wasnt allowed to take West Ways 370z down there, had to go on the "approved route" which was pants, and in the end was part of the reason they didnt get a sale from me.
  13. Not a problem my man, it was probably on there from the original cancelled Goodwood meet, when we were going to do this instead. 1. Chris`I (+MAD7BOY) 2. Darren-B 3. Ebized 4. charlotte-sparkles 5. Purple&Black 6. iain10101 PH are well oversubscribed for this now, so should be a corker
  14. Any more for the list? Just so we know who to expect 1. Chris`I (+MAD7BOY) 2. Darren-B 3. Ebized 4. glrnet 5. charlotte-sparkles 6. Purple&Black 7. iain10101 8. 9. 10.
  15. Think you sum it up well Rich. Brilliant performer, but just not fun. DSG is a brilliant bit of kit for fast changes, but you know what, I prefer my "old" normal auto gearbox (with fast lockup) as at least it feels more like manual driving and more involving. How did you find with it pulling away? I find that the DSG can be quite grabby when pulling off, whereas a normal auto with torque converter allows some "slip" which makes it a nicer drive in town.
  16. much much sharper than the Seat Arosa Polo brakes are probably shared with the Ibiza rather than the Arosa. Amanda's Ibiza brakes were very sharp when it was new too.
  17. VAG (VW/Audi/SEAT) are notoriously sharp. Its because they are massively assisted which means there is very little modulation. Does mean they stop well when you need them to though
  18. Do look good, I had them on my 350z, look much better. Only problem I found is that they eventually go - at best they just die, but some I had started flashing Just check them periodically to make sure they are functioning properly
  19. I assume you mean the air filter? I guess its just a cotton filter - so grab a K&N cleaner kit from traders on here or Halfords
  20. That GTR is where my little Zed waited patiently for me to pick her up too
