  1. RELIEF, it's not just happening to me, there appear to be PRATS all over the country. Unfortunately I have a low tolerance level to drivers who behave like this and quite often respond in ways I regret when sitting on the sofa at home reflecting. Some of you appear to have far higher level of maturity than I've been blessed with and I wish I could just let it go. Instead of the chariot wheels I mentioned earlier I was wondering if any of those WW2 German 88's can still be had. One of those shells up a PRATS tail pipe would be something to behold.
  2. Well Mickey you've got me worried now.........You don't own a white Volvo by any chance??
  3. I installed a audible sounders into my indicated lights on my 04 Z. Not so much for locking/unlocking (although it's very handy to hear the sound as I walk away and know the doors are locked) but because my left turn indicator doesn't seem to cancel on anything but a full 90 deg turn. Had some near misses because of this so now I can hear if it doesn't cancel. Can get a bit of a pain if indictors are on for any length of time though.
  4. By the way I feel a lot better after that rant !
  5. I'm generally pestered by small white vans but not today. I'm driving down a two lane carriage way when this guy in his sporty looking Volvo pulls out in front of me. He didn't need to pull out but as he did I slowed and kept pace with him at a reasonable distance. He's driving at around 70 but then as he passes a car on his nearside he slows right down and passes it very slowly, taking ages. As soon as he gets past he speeds up again to catch up to the next car on his nearside and again slows right up and again passes it very slowly. So Im now beginning to realise he seems to be doing it on purpose. This happens a further two times but on the final occasion as he's slowly going past his brake lights come on for no apparent reason. I'm now convinced he's a sausage short of a full breakfast. Well how can I put this, I eventually get past him and he then fades right back in the rear view mirror, not because Im going any faster simply because.....well who knows why or what goes through the mind of such TITs Its PRATS like this who cause road rage and others to take actions they wouldn't normally take. I'm going to fit some of those Charlton Heston chariot wheels, but with retractable swords so I can seriously F--k up this car if we ever meet again.
  6. Apologies for the delay Ive been out this morning. I live in Newcastle on Tyne
  7. It would seem the post is live now so query answered.
  8. Apologies Neil, I've had such a job trying to figure out what to do and for some reason my iPad doesn't like copying the links. Does this mean I need to post again or is your advice for future reference only?

  10. I'm also interested in lowering the car a little as well but wondering if 20mm only gives a nicer look or does it improve the cornering ability as well. I suppose it must but is it noticeably better. I fitted 20 mm spacers and they really did seem to make a differance when cornering.
  11. Spent some time in Las Vegas last summer and they were all over the place. They do look the biz on the road and sound great. If my daughter were the final arbiter my order would be in right now. However I'm getting on a bit and think it's really a young mans car. Its a pitty that the brain lags the body by 20 yrs or so cos I'm thinking get one. But let's face it how daft would it look. Oh no, does this mean my next car has to be a sensible one like the wife keeps telling me! Boo hoo, boo bloody hoo
  12. Anyone interested in switching or does Z still rule?
  13. I did the Bose hack a few weeks ago and also had a job pulling the console forward and out following removal of the indicted screws. Referring to the pictures in the GMballistic link above.....and assuming you were able to pull the top of the console away (the bit where the 3 gauge pod is ..see picture 12) Mine wouldn't pull out because the two brackets on each side of the Bose unit that hold it in place (ie the brackets with 4 screws each side holding it in) were catching right down at the bottom where they are secured at the same point as the white air con conontrol box ...see picture 17. The brackets are curved at the bottom and you can see the securing holes in them in picture 17 To get the console out I had to also remove the two screws securing each of these brackets (you can see the two black screws at the LHS of the picture at the bottom) Once I removed them the console fell out and I was able to see what had caused the removal problem. However as I said earlier if you can wiggle the bottom curved bits of these brackets past any obstructions then the console will come out without the need to remove these screws I've just mentioned Hope this is clear and can help
  14. A faster version of the 350, which lets face it, is the better looking car
  15. DO TELL! Does the 04 DE car have this light. After 10 yrs ownership any new detail is thrilling. A bit like marriage I suppose! Or maybe Its just that I need to get out more.
  16. It looks like a Tom Tom Start 25 to me. Or maybe I just read the thread title? As Del Boy would say " I know thaat, what I meant was is it a Tom Tom 25 like what the title says" Blush blush. My New Years resolution was to stop speed reading and make less daft mistakes. Looks like I've broken that one already. Ha ha
  17. P.S. Which 5" Tom Tom was it as there a a few or are case sizes the same?
  18. I'm liking this thread more and more. Thought of fitting my Tom Tom Go 530 at one time but it would have needed some sort of facia to make it look nice in the cubby. I was low on enthusiasm at the time and have been unable to top up with any since so it's still an outstanding desire. The 5 " Tom Tom looks to fit quite snug so I may follow suit. Like the retractable cubby as well (didn't know about these) anyone have any idea of price?
  19. Whats going on. That "l"crept in when I wasnt looking. Must read over before I post. I'm starting to think Alf A Bet (who ever he is) has it in for me.
  20. Then eat nd drink your fill
  21. Oh NO not another senior moment. Could I be coming down with old age? I spelt my user name wrong on the forum the other dayI but in my defence there were a lot of letters to choose from ha ha
  22. All the best this XMAS and a prosperous new year to you and yours and remember keep your Z's clean and your licence cleaner ha ha
  23. I've had my car 10 yrs now and took the MAF out to clean it earlier this yr. It looked spotless to me but cleaned it anyway and it didn't seem to make any differance in any respect. Cleaned the throttle valve a few months ago which did make a big differance in the cars performance as it appeared to pull much harder etc. But no fuel economy gains in either case. I would have thought that 20 mpg around town is normal anyway.
