  6. It was on Speke road coming down from Aigburth... do you know that retail park on Speke road? It was just as you come into view of that before the set of traffic lights, he was sat in one of those mobile speed camera vans. Thanks for the responses though, it's at their discretion as to what punishment I deserve I suppose, fingers crossed for the 3 points/fine then. Anything more would push my insurance through the roof For me the ban turned out to be the best thing for me. i had 3 points and 6 points would of took me to 9 points. The 'Totting up' rules comes in at 12 points and is an immediate 6 month ban. I would of had to drive about for over two years on 9 points and in danger of another 3 points getting me a 6 month ban. As it happened, on renewal, my insurance ignored my ban as it was under 1 month in length. My remaining 3 points drop off in september and will then have a clean license pointswise which could of been very different had they stuck me with the points.
  7. I know, from experience that: 0-9mph over the limit is a discretionary warning/speed awareness course 10-19mph is 3 points and usually a £80 fine 20-29mph is 6 points and usually a £80 fine. 30+mph is a certain ban and/or points and/or a fine via a court appearance. I got done at 101mph on the M6 on my way to the NW run a few years back and got a 21 day ban and £300 fine but no points. 21 mph over the limit will be 3/6 points a £80 fine but no court summons. Each county can alter any of the above at their discretion
  8. I'd ask for pics of you but someone beat me to it

It was Andy at Middlehurst that told me that. There will not be an official anouncement till after 2nd April so Nissan can see the amount of confirmed orders and how they are distrubuted before confirming the spread of the cars offically, but Andy said it was confirmed that it will be proportionate not a set amount to each dealer, rightly or wrongly. I agree about wanting to be further up the list but I'm about 12 months too late for getting anywhere near the top of any of the dealers lists. Anyway, saw this today. Nismo GT-R: Note the Nismo LMGT4's

Steve, Being on a smaller list does not mean you will get the car any earlier than being on a longer one. The distrubution to the 10 dealers will be proportionate to the amount of confirmed orders they have. If Middlehurst have say 50% of the total confirmed orders, they will get 50% of the first allocation etc therefore you could get your car at the same time by being number 150 at middlehurst and 10 at Exeter.

The fact that these guys already have technicians used to servicing R33's and R34's would be far more important to my choice of dealer than what happens with the list. +1 I won't be ordering from anywhere else other than Middlehurst or Marshalls. Middlehursts experience of previous cars will probable swing it there way. Plus, I want to mod my GT-R so will want a 'knowledgeable' dealer who won't refuse to replace my engine because I changed an aerial

according to Middlehurst when I was there this month, the list wasn't full and still plenty of allocations. Mind you they did take orders on 3 that morning, Middlehurst are the only dealer to have full control of the list. Cheers for that Mike Just spoken to Andy at Middlehurst. He seems to think that everyone that orders a car before April will get one delivered for March 2009. Servicing will be about £500 to which after the G is bloody great especially as they come to your house with a flatbed truck and take it away and bring it back to you

  17. No need for spacers at all imo!!! Now the rear needs lowering Looks ace though
  18. A-Plan knocked £100 off my premium this time. Having done all the online stuff I actually think that speaking to a broker and getting a tailored quote is worth the effort. A-Plan did my insurance for the G too. Going to a broker is always the best way.

    GT-R

This GT-R conundrum is doing my head in. Apparently Nissan are only bringing over 400 cars next year. Thats 400 for the WHOLE of 2009!!! That means that there are people on the current lists who have paid their deposits that may not get theres until the end of 2009 or even 2010 There are supposed to be over 250 deposits down with Middlehurst and Marshalls never mind the other 8 dealers This has led me to reconsider the import route again. I'm thinking of buying one around October to be delivered around January and sell around September 2009ish. I understand that it won't have any waranty and sat nav won't work but there won't be any uk cars with sat nav delivered untill September 2009 at the latest anyway. The demand should be high enough to be able to sell it easily enough I would of thought. I wonder what the dealers attitude will be to imports? Will they still deal with them like they do import zeds? There are rumours about such as that you will even have to go to a dealer if you get a puncture etc!! I want one but its doing my head in with all the mystery shrouded around the car and the dealers etc. Anyone know anything i don't?
