  1. And when you have, I bet you will change your mind - as i did. It would be interesting to see if anyone has done a back-to-back test by putting a standard 370 against a standard 350 (any of the 3 engine sizes) round a track by the same driver to see how they compare. I know what my money would be on. Nobody is disputing that the 370z is the better car. It should be, being the latest car. The point being made is that its not a big enough step up from the 350z to warrant the £15k+ you'd need. IMO, 350z owners should have been the hardcore customers that Nissan targetted. Another thing that would put me off is Nissan's insistence on bring out facelift versions almost annually. How long before they bring out a new version with an extra 15bhp. When you buy a new car I'd want it to remain the most current version for at least 2/3 yrs. The facelift version they will bring out inevitibly next year or the year after, is the car they should have released initially. The 350z was never an out-and-out sports car and was more of a GT. People saying how great the interior of the 370z is and how comfy it is on long journeys shows tht the 370z has veered even further away from being a sports car imo......
  2. Thanks for the vote of confidence. i am really waiting for the full list! he sent one without prices and not grouped as sets of 4 so i sent him packing to do this........the lazy git! i will be easy for everyone when you can see your choice along with other info on what you are getting so i don't have to spend my life replying pm's i also have a secret project coming up which is taking my time now
  3. Is the bed going in the engine bay too? 350zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.............oh dear..............I'll get me coat........
  4. So just buy an extended warranty, keep the zed, stay on the forum and keep a load of cash in the bank
  5. Do let me know where they are hiding There arent any on PH that I can see (although 370z isnt an option in their list) and on autotrader they seem to start at £27.5k for a GT without Nav. I agree it will depreciate far more than £4k in two years, more like £10k I would say if the market is stable and no more freefall that we saw on the 350z's. And that £27.5k one is a main dealer They are out there. The 370z, as with most cars, will be doing well to be worth more than 50% of its new price when its three years old.
  6. Ahh, but the point you missing is when Mr X trades in his 370Z in a couple of years time to buy his Lambo he will recoup much of that £15k. Yes, I realise that newer cars depreciate £ for £ more than older cars but its not just £15k down the drain that cannot be recouped. So if it boils down to losing an extra £3-£4k in real terms but you get to spank around in a 370Z for a couple of years it suddenly becomes a much tougher decision, for me anyway. Your deluded if you think a 370z will only lose £4k in that time frame. There are already cars out there for £26k. In three years time the 370z will be in the £15k car bracket and that 'extra' £15k has disappeared
  7. But the guy didn't pay for one with hairline cracks............
  8. I would take that sentence out........if I read that I would start any offer really low and try to get the car for as close to the trade in price as possibe....
  9. Back it goes then imo...........
  10. What an ill informed post. Trust me, I'm not jealous of a 370z The point about the extra £15k is, is it £15k better than a 350z? No, no its not. I think you'll find that the two people who have slated the interior are not 350z owners, so have no reason to be biased Don't understand the logic of your statement "The point about the extra £15k is, is it £15k better than a 350z? No, no its not." when the 370 retails at the same price as the 350 did. The question surely is whether if offered a brand new 370 or a brand new 350 which would you chose. Your missing the point entirely. For example; Mr X has a 350z worth £15k. He considers upgrading to a 370z. The cost to do so is his 350z plus £15k. Now, are the differences between the two cars significant enough to warrant shelling out £15k extra ontop of his 350z? In my opinion no. That opinion must be shared by others on here because there has hardly been a deluge of 350z owners upgrading to the 370z. Infact I can only think of two, all the others were non 350z owners prior to buying the 370z
  11. I'm not sure if that a good thing or not

  13. +1 You can get an 08 zed for around £18k. There's no way that a 370z is worth the extra £12k in my eyes. I actually think the interior looks pretty rubbish, I hate the fish gill air vents either side of the sat nav screen.....
  14. It was a temper orange My07 zed for about £8k but had damage to the rear drivers side wheel area. Not a lot of visible damage, engine ran fine so it looked a real bargain, I think most peoples concern was the unseen potential chassis damage.....
  15. Especially with falling GTR prices........you can get UK cars now for ~£46k
  16. What HP does your M3 put out? 370z is known to run very very rich and adding a few breathing bolt ons (intake and exhuast) has seen an increase of 20+HP in the States, putting it near 350HP As for 350z vs 370z, I'll let you know around March time hopefully Yep beavis is right, 343bhp. When BMW brought out the new M3 they jumped straight up from 343 to 400+, an increase of nearly 60 bhp is going to be very noticeable and makes it very attractive to E46 owners etc. I just feel that going from 313 to 329 to not exactly gonna have hordes of 350z owners dying to get into one. I appreciate its a more modern car and things like the rev matching gubbins and it being lighter and smaller will probably make more of an effect on performance but as they say, BHP sells cars......i think that the 370 is probably more attractive to non 350z owners as I can't get my head round why anyone would pay £15-£20k plus their zed for a 370z???
  17. I'd defo buy the same brand again, i have in the past and I'm hoping to do so again in the future. I saw a 370z last week and thought it looked like a fat capri. Too short at the back and a longer bonnet. Not for me. For me, Nissan needed to step the power up a fair bit. A 370z still doesn't have as much BHP as a 7 yr old M3. They should have made it at least 350 bhp to make the jump worthwhile for 350z owners..............
  18. By no means was I intimating that it was causing irritation, I was just curious at to why you personally thought the car wasn't selling
