  1. For the more evil amongst us, I recommend spinning your wheels whilst in front of them across gravel to pepper their car in shite - as a suffering Kuro owner, that would kill me more than anything. You might just end up on Crimefighters/Crimewatch - as a victim
  2. Dude, you hit the spot in an earlier post - lucky (?) there wasn't posts, trees or other traffic. Glad you made it out - hopefully the car is fixable. I nearly lost it on a roundabout a week last Sat on a fruitless visit to the Red Bull Air Race nr Longleat - George (Hanel) was behind me and saw my unwanted gliding session around an adverse-camber, wet and oily, SMALL roundabout, where thank-the-heavens the ESP helped me out with much juddering of tyres and lack of intervention by untalented me. As long as (1) I don't want to kill anybody else, and (2) I owe substantial money on this car: I won't be turning the ESP off. Once I've had it for three years, had Andy Walsh training, and a few more laps of NBR, even then I won't turn ESP off on the roads - only a fool would IMHO - never mind yourself, think of the other people you can hurt. Turn the ESP off on the track, fair game. Now to wear my flame proof suit!
  3. How techie do you have to be with this kit... what tools, etc?
  4. Cheers, I think mine is just a bit loose thanks to some high kerb parking
  5. When I stopped laughing at myself
  6. The rubbery bit under the grill, lowest part, is looking a bit droopy - presumably because it's been dragged onto, and off-of, a kerb or something. Anyone else had this, and how easy to fix for the non-techie, my-hands-are-useless, person like me? Cheers PS. Lemme find the camera to post a pic...
  7. I was leaving the house yesterday morning, Sat, at ~9am and a lovely black coupe with Nismo (I think) wheels passed my house and burbled away from the junction. 06 plate I think. Yet again I've been travelling all week + this weekend and seen no Zs (apart from the above) at all in the Surrey + Berkshire area. Are they all oop north?
  8. I see these lights have red indicators - illegal here in our over-beaurocratic island?
  9. Well, it's because Liam's looks like such a lovely, girl-next-door, "have you seen my secret space in the hay loft" kind of girl, whereas Sarnie's - well you can't see her face, and she looks more like a hooker! Sorry, Sarnie - Liam wins... and his car is the best colour!
  10. Hmmm... I'm in the red car park - it says on the instructions to take M4 J17, then local roads. Are you travelling 303 cos its more fun? Might not be on Sat! What time are you setting off? We weren't planning to be there until lunch, but are flexible. I would love to meet up and go in convoy! I need to get up early and clean the motor!
  11. Have tickets, will travel. I'm in Staines, and will be setting off early. Anyone fancy meeting up? Cheers!
  12. I have the BT adapter and I'm happily using it... mostly... what I don't understand is how to use the "face" button on the steering wheel... I've been told that I can use this for voice commands. Anyone know how?
  13. You let your daughter drive The Beast? You are either a dearly devoted father who has mega faith in his offspring, or... well... how can I say it...
  14. The guys that run this forum are awesome. Good work! Not only because you do a brilliant job, often your good work is hidden from non-techie users (like moving threads to the appropriate forum + other techie stuff) but because you also provide a centrifugal force to bring us all together. You have made owning a Z more fun. Thank you. Steve
  15. Firstly, I expected my chariot to hit the 12k mile after a year but the bugger has been so good to drive (apart from bloody creak) that I've clocked up loads... starting to calm down though now. Anyhoo, I thought I'd provide a plain and simple summation of what its been like, and what the car is like after that first birthday: 0) I pulled up in partner's car and saw my new, wet-looking Kuro outside th showroom reflecting the red Nissan sign across it's body work. Dr00l. 1) When I drove out of the show room on a cold, dark, January night, I was scared to death. The first road had more speed bumps, of different shapes, I was sh1tt1ng the bed. The left foot was twitching and I kept driving for three hours or more! 2) I had never driven a car that attracted such looks - kids pointing, women dribbling, men falling over kerbs, people in restaurants stopping their dinner. Must get some better sunglasses, oh and shave. 3) First paint chip after 3k - big bloody "something" hitting drivers door, leaving a three pronged chip in the middle of drivers door 4) Remember the tune Senses Working Overtime?: And I can see, hear, smell, touch, taste And Ive got one, two, three, four, five Senses working o-ver-time 5) After 6k the car paint is showing wear and tear, with swirls, chips and marks all over... Despite costly investments in cloths, liquids and time. 6) Nurburgring beckons and four laps later, plus a 158 mph speed on the straight autobahn, plus beautiful curvy mountain drives, leads to my driving partners (M3 and Scoobies) being open mouthed with lines like "your car sounds fan-f*cking-tastic!". I had several twitchy moments but the car was beautiful to handle. MORE POWER! 7) More chips, more creaks now. Took the dealer a month to give me a slot to fix, but then I was working in California so I have to rebook. Creaking is getting worse. 8) At just under 12k, and this car is the best thing I ever did. Apart from the missis, of course
  16. Damn, that's the second one this week. Approx 8:45am.
  17. Saw a Chilli Z with two thin white stripes (bit like the ford gt40), plus nismo front, sides, back and spoiler, but with standard wheels Despite me overtaking, undertaking, waving and nodding I received no reply from said owner.
  18. Despite owning Zaino and some Meg's, I am so fed up of scratches on my beloved Kuro I got some black turtle wax - it did the job a treat! I drove the Z twice today, much the same route. This morning I got a few looks, but tonight after some serious washing, drying (that water magnet rocks!) and applying the black wax the Z looked great! Add a dash of tyre shine and some shiny wheels, then using the Zaino glass cleaner - looked like a different car - and people were pointing at the Z as I passed!! Black may be a PITA to look after but its a labour of love And before VAL gives me a , I have taken pics but can't find the bloody cable to connect to USB! I will do it asap...honest...
  19. Good point, Sarnie - is Autotrader the best place for selling Zs? Sounds like there are preferred selling venues for the beloved Z.
  20. Has anyone seen decent body "transfers" - like the 2F2F, or like on the Xbox "need for speed" game? On that you can have the old flames up the side, etc. Some are more subtle than the orange and red flames up the side I've never seen a Z in the flesh like that...
