  1. Not when you are slowly pushing them out to the middle of the road / against a wall
  2. Best thing with this testosterone fueled idiots is to burn them off at the lights. They hate being beaten in a race. Even better, when you pull up in your lovely Z when he's there with his bird on his scooter he'll feel even smaller. No contest. Much more enjoyable to smile and enjoy the Z in the knowledge that you're best
  3. Word to the wise - get the front bumper and bonnet protected by Paintshield ASAP!
  4. Hahahah I just hope you are ready for the first few tentative weeks when you squeeze through tight gaps praying nobody hits ya It took me a while but I'm calmer now. But oh my god its a lovely car! Bring it on! Enjoy, let us know what you think after a few days...
  5. That's right - I'm in the US working at the moment. Well spotted! I posted previously that I saw a metallic purple coupe but didnt have my camera as I was @ the gym (for a change!).
  6. I'm over here workin/sherkin and saw a purple metallic coupe turn up at the carpark of Gold's gym, Bloomington - looked great in the bright sunshine. Spoke with the guy who got out, he said it was a 2003 - anyone else seen this crazy colour?
  7. have you noticed a creak when you accelerate/decelerate? Nowt to do with clutch, but my "creak" is pissing me off!
  8. Spotted two blades while scaring myself silly @ Nurburgring this past weekend. One was kitted up, had a NL plate, the other was a brit - we managed to chat briefly, he is a user on here, but I didn't catch his name. The Ring is insane!
  9. Welcome aboard mate! I've been a Z owner since Feb, and I love it (apart from the paint - search the forum for Chips Away!). In fact, I've been working in the US for a few weeks and have been pining - driving boat-like "septic tank" rentals is horrible. Mind I'm back in the UK for a few days holiday, and I'm driving to the Nurburgring tomorrow in the Z, then back to Chicago next Tue. Will be posting the pics - welcome to the club, d00d, you will love it (and if you like beating people off the line I have a tip - let them keep up with you for a bit, then burn them off in 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th - not many will keep up with you, and less will beat you!). Have fun and take care! Steve
  10. Count me in - my Kuro has 8k on the clock and drives me crazy - sometimes in a good way, but when I got nose-to-nose with the bumper - in a bad way! If they claim in their literature that they perform the diamond process then they have to be able to prove it - I would suggest going to the trading standards people as a first stop. If we all do it separately then it will have more effect. More pain points. People, let's move!
  11. Sounds fishy to me where was the fishing line? On the seat?
  12. I was quoted 1800 nicker by my dealer for the birdview, and he recommended I didn't buy it and went for the tomtom instead - so not all dealers are bad
  13. I think it is from the rear. Have the CV joints squeeked in the past? A mate I know had his replaced on a 03 plate, but surely that has been fixed by now... I will check with him... Thanks for the tip, m8
  14. Excellent, I will take b4 and afters piccies.
  15. Nice one - have just ordered the kit $39.95 - let's hope it does the biz!
  16. Sure - imagine a creaky bed, that gives a short, lowish-pitched, strained-sounding squeek everytime someone moves.
  17. what's an exhaust manifold?
  18. LOL! I have cut my drinking down drastically since buying the Z - so it makes me smile and helps my liver!
  19. sorry minel, i don't understand. If the paintshield adds some kind of layer, then how can the zymol/zaino affect the paint? it must only react with the "layer" - and do we know what effect that has? has anyone proof that you can still wax away? i know you know your beans minel but are you sure? cheers paranoid android
  20. As a fellow kuro owner - get your paintwork protected, mate, its a necessity! I bought a new 55 and I'm now regretting (1) believing the dealer about supaguard (didn't know about this site, doh!), and (2) not getting paintshielf on at the same place as Minel! Black looks sexy when polished - dr00l! steve
  21. Once you've got this stuff on, how does it affect a wax? Like, if you were to use Zymol or Zaino - I assume you wouldn't do those areas or it wouldnt work - so you'd have a strange effect?
  22. Have spotted four Zs today on my travels around the bay area in California. Not one of them was in good nick! Two coupes - blade and sunset, and two roadsters - azure and kuro. All were mucky and driven by people in their 50s! I've hired an SUV while over here - I think it's about as afar away from a Z as you can get! (I think it's a Chevy Trailblazer or something). Today I went to the coast via Skyline Boulevard and La Honda, and wished I was in the Z with all those corners to slide round. Mind, I did follow a half-mile convoy of fat hairy bikers, and had to shut the window because of the smell
