Hi Adam, Was planning this weekend but I think that I will now have a play at Knockhill on Saturday instead Thare are two track sessions on....GMSC are running an open pit lane from 11am untill 1pm and then Hot Marques are also running open pit lane from 2pm untill 5pm. If the car lasts the 5 hours then maybe the ring the following week. If you fancy riding shotgun on Sat then let me know, you are most welcome. I will be able to confirm tomoz if all is well with the Zed. Cheers, Alex. Go for it Adam - would love to see some pics of Alex giving it some ps: check the train timetables home Adam - only kidding mate as Alex will have his box of hammers to sort any problems out and he will have you to hold on to his trusty bonnet stay

Working from home, I have often signed for parcels for neighbours who have been out - never occured to me that these couriers can get away so easily with their miss-handling. But not about to start opening neighbour's parcels in trying to help out so it looks like I will be adding to the drivers' overtime in future

Needs must Phil. Spent all my money on gauges Have you got a pair of c f bonnet stays in stock mate ? Cheers, Alex. Which hammer will use to fit 'em - just been admiring your tool kit

WHAT DO YOU THINK...SOME OF YOU MAY RECOGNIZE THIS CAR.

Same weight as the OEM. Didn't know that - I remember now that Alex said it would help the engine cooling - so perhaps that will help the 'go' factor? -

+1 -1 Alex tracks/races this car, as well as using it on the road, so the stickers reflecting the changes he has carried out are quite appropriate IMO. Seeing the car in the flesh (which I don't think Sarnie or Pimm have) will fully reveal what this roadster is all about - see pic below to give you some idea of the extensive engine mods that include one-off engine internals, and mapping courtesy of Abbey Motorsport. The car is remains perfectly useable on the road and as those who rode shotgun with Alex will reveal it has some serious grunt whilst the noise it makes is simply the best I have ever heard a ZED make. Oh, and the bonnet suits it fine - more important, a little less weight means a little more go -
Enjoyed Ed - but only saw a limited amount in the 2 days/3 nights we were there - one of the highlights for us was a meal in the Dome..........great food and service and the inside of this ex-bank building was truly spectacular. Will be doing a write-up on the trip to include more about Ed in due course - have to catch up on some work first though.

We were on the top deck of a city tour bus - oh dear, what an admission

Hi guys: Just back - sorry this is late After a 2190 mile round trip, including 324.5 ENGLISH miles on the Hoon (or about 180 in Scottish miles ) the car perfoming fautlessly and averaging 40.1mph and 25.8mpg, here are some pics. I have tried to include some different ones to the brilliant contributions others have made. Did a little recce the day before the Hoon - Eilean Donan Castle seen from the west side and the bridge onto Skye - taken just before a certain black ZED roadster turned up on the same unmade road at Kyleakin The gathering at Fort Augustus Alex's roadster made the rest look rather tame but with a reputed 600bhp (which sounded absolutely awesome) and with the amount of kit he has used, the car was truly amazing. Following Alex comprised a mixture of sucking in unspent fuel (thank goodness for aircon) enjoying the noise the car made and admiration for his driving skills - great road positioning - a true mark of an experienced track driver. And there is always one poser..... reflections doing strange things some pics on route and someone jumping out of their skin upon hearing Alex's arrival Martin showing the NZ link..................or was he just having a ... A clip of the remaining ZEDS climbing up the A832 from Kinlochewe with Ricky hanging on very well in his (stand-in) Civic. (You might wish to turn up the sound and do a full screen view for making things out a litlle more clearly - it was getting dark and, excuses, excuses..... ) And the final goodbyes were said at Eilean at around 20.30 - and the nightime drive back to Fort Augustus along the A87/A887 with the road virtually empty was the final buzz to round off a truly memorable day. It was a truly fantastic day - little doubt that the Scottish Highlands offer the best driving roads for the ZEDS. It was certainly the highlight of our tour up via Wales and the Lakes - I will be posting a write-up of that soon. The BBQ on the Saturday night was a great way of getting everyone together - thanks Martin & Liz for your tireless efforts in helping to make ours and the other Hooners trip so enjoyable. And finally but not least, many thanks to Stew for setting this up, but please do get your odemeter fixed as 325 odd miles of spirited driving does test the tank capacity . Only joking mate and yep, now what I really want to know is when are we going to do the run again - perhaps to include Durness? (Hopefully I will still have a licence as I seemed to pass endless speed cameras on the way back, not all of which were marked and/or picked up by snooper ) What about a weekend event with an overnight stay - it would really be a great opportunity to experience some great driving roads and take in more of the spectacular scenery? And a big thanks to my best mate for putting up with me and taking most of the photos - not easy while I was throwing her around - look she even has a smile to show for it at the top of Applecross! Here is a taste of some of the rest of our tour (will be posting something up in due course) - but had to include the movie with June getting to grips with the camera video for the first time taken on the Abergwesyn Pass in Wales (hope you like the added commentary!) But hey, that road was just wowwonderful - reminded me of my rallying days! Wast Water in the Lakes - one of our very special favourite places. (Martin/Liz - thank you )

2/9 - G/M OY54 KYP - on the A417 north out of Cirencester at about 11.30. 2/9 - Sunset on house forecourt, east side of Aberyswyth on the A487 at about 17.00. 6 & 7/9 - Loads of ZEDS and one blue Azure coupe going in the opposite direction to the Hoon convoy - did anyone get a :bye: or was he just shell-shocked to find his ZED was not the only one in Scotland? 10/9 - AK350Z on Waverley Bridge in Edinburgh around 11.00. 12/9 - Temper Orange on the on A3 at Tolworth - London bound around 18.00. Just 5 ZEDS in 2200 miles, apart from the 11 others on the Hoon itself - the rarity value still amazes although a 10 year old in Devizes knew what it was as he asked to take some photos of mine and was sizing up whether he could afford one in 8 years time

gunna go and giv em a tug , eh? -
That is shite, so sorry to hear that news. I guess that's where a tracker or cut-out device come into their own (bloody hindsight) but I guess you can't be too careful these days. Sarnie might be a bit paranoid about how he sells his cars - I'm worse and usually take the hit with trade-in rather than the hassle of private sales, unless it is to a known person
-
Try the gimmee or I go to Orange line - are you ringing 202 - thats where I got my deal sorted

every time I give the loud pedal a good shove.

...........think I'll pass on the BBQ -
I had similar experience last week Stew but better outcome? Been with O2 for 7 years - end of 18 month contract - local O2 shop wanted £100 to upgrade Xda Orbit to version 2; raise the monthly payment a fiver and an 18 month contract. Checked out the rivals - Orange doing a reasonable deal on the HTC Touch Diamond - rang O2 told em I was looking at the Orange deal - the coal face spoke to the backroom and in two days I had a the new Orbit for free on my same monthly payment plan and just a 12 month contract. Saves messing about changing car phone holders/chargers and staying with O2 means I also continue to benefit from a £5.60 off the monthly payment described as "loyalty reward" New Orbit, which has the HTC cube software, is a great improvement as is the the revised sat nav.
-
Its what I use - suits me fine having the phone and sat nav in a more discreet place than stuck hanging off the windscreen: I use an extended lead (tucked out of sight along the central tunnel with a double socket velco fixed to the side carpet (see pic), which has the phone charging lead also serves a snooper. The passenger socket is then free for lap top or whatever. It can all be removed leaving no trace for when I do sell and its easy to change over the cradles on the Brodit to suit different phones.

clicking rear axles?? £175 to sort it apparently.
Ebized replied to S1 HNK's topic in Warranty Issues
The correct repair is here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... sc&start=0 - as said by others above, a re-grease is only a temp fix -
Or worse...... I am afraid these days for "keyed" take that as likely to be "knifed". Gutted for you ZBoy so soon after geting the car but make sure the same dosen't happen to you - maybe a cctv camera trained on your drive may deter, or at least make the scroats move on somewhere else. Lets face it that sort of low-life take the easy option of doing their 'thing'
