  1. I've done a search on here and I can only see Dorian's guide on the front bumper removal which is for JDM cars. Problem being I have headlight washers and the guide doesn't cover what you're supposed to do with them. Anyone done this and got a guide or suggestion?
  2. Sorry I didn't make it, only got it back today from the work.... Write up anyone?? Pics??

    Here She Is

How heavy is your right foot?? Mine sits at between 26-26.5 mpg, or about 350 miles before light may come on. Based on V Power.
  4. http://www.wheelrefurbishing.com/ They will collect and deliver for free in a certain area, and a top top job. Sorry to hear it, to$$er!
  5. More importantly, how on earth did you stumble across that on a search!?

    Insurance Quotes

Admiral, Diamond and Elephant are all the same co. Take a look at their websites and spot the only difference - the colour!! IMO, avoid them like the plague. I've just got passed a threat of legal action from them, still no explanation as to what they claim I've done wrong and a letter saying they were cancelling my cover! All because they had an internal misunderstanding. Now, find a local broker you can build a relationship with if you're planning on modding. A little extra now could save you loads of money and hassle in the near future.
  7. Right, got it back, about £450 of parts fitted and there is a difference. 4th to 6th feels very slick, the best in the box now. However, when cold, going into 2nd at any speed is an effort. Once warm the best way to describe it is a lot tighter on the whole. Not notchy, but tighter. If anyone's interested, I got the dealer to give me copies of all the assembly diagrams for the box, several pages worth.... I'm working on getting copies of the service notes too.....
  8. Oh dear, Chris Bangle has ba$tardised a CLK!
  9. Mine was doing this and the dealer explained what happens. The circuit tests itself by sending a signal on start up that should show all being well. The Zed (like all other Nissans) uses cheap couplers for this that over time get loose or dislodged and therefore leave the light on. This info is stored on the car's brain and the dealer can tell where the sensor is failing and check the connector. Don't see why it should be a problem to sort for you. IMO, it's the safety system and would get it checked asap. If someone hits the car you'll be wanting them to go off if they need too!!

    TREE SAP

+1 - great for getting just that off, but be prepared to get the shirt sleeves rolled up after with renovator and polish as it will dull the area slightly. Not permanent though. Also, Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner has some stuff in it to try and soften the sap which may be a good start.
  11. Got the call to say it's done. New bearings have been put in the gearbox apparently. Not knowing much about gearboxes (other than it's got cogs in it! ) not sure if that is the synchro or what really. Also talking to me when I pick it up about the other warranty so will wait and see what that brings. Any comments on this as to whether I should be pushing for more??
  12. Hope all were ok - and as stevie says, come down and say hi!
  13. Mine is currently in for it's fix / replacement, and I agree that when cold it does it between 1st and 2nd, but also in others (2nd to 3rd for sure). I'll find out what difference is possible in the next couple of days I guess. But one thing's for sure, when it's warm then it's generally fine (except my current problem!).

    Climate Control

I would've thought so. Only reason I know is my Volvo tube got blocked and the liquid wasn't draining away, until it emptied in the car!! Speak to a dealer to check where it is and then it should be a simple check to make sure when the system has been on and it needs to discharge the condensed moisture it goes outside the car.
  15. They're both more man than woman!! lol To be fair, Tim wouldn't have to choose, both would be willing to share.....!!

    Climate Control

It's just where the air initially pushed through is warmer than the screen and the air con hasn't started dehumidifying. All systems do it at this time of year when the temp drops at night and the engine retains some heat. BTW, also get the drainage tube double checked that it's not blocked. Could be the start of a longer term problem where you'll get wet feet!!
  17. As per Ming, I also have DIY after the oven exploded. Left a bit of a mess!!! I've got the plan all sorted, and am trying to source a few bits, or people that can make them. I will be using colour in the engine bay with shiny bits and a material TBC. I think with the new 510bhp beast ours will be in the class of 'all show, not quite as much go'!!! Once gearbox is sorted then I'll get the car inside and will post some sneak peeks!!

    Ive done the Deed

    Top man, good choice!!
  19. Not entirely sure, check the sticky in Car Detailing between me and Ming for some of the info. Will check for ya! Will have to go back to the shopping list and will PM you when sorted.
  20. In which case may I suggest a centre piece for Trax next year of this in the centre, with mine and Ming's either side for the challenge?? Oh, and you will be contacted for help with sourcing some bits!!
  21. Voted B on the basis that once you put a band on someone's finger you commit.....
  22. Very, very nice. IMO probably the best modified Zed I know of. The yanks often over do it and everything chosen for this has been carefully chosen. Are you planning on keeping it for a while?
  23. Back On Topic?? Anyway....... The badge bit for me is more that any nice, normal person turns into an ar$e the second he gets behind the wheel of one. I have many friends with Beemers and those that have driven other marques instantly notice people don;t let them out etc. and they soon forget to use indicators, lanes and tend to find foglights a better choice than the headlights. Other than that, I'm sure they do drive well, but I am quite happy driving cars that don't shout out 'I think I've made it so bought an overpriced saloon car'. I will go and test drive this car on the basis of Dave's reccommendation. However, last time I went to do this, they turned me away as they didn't want to let me book a drive in any of their cars. Badge snobbery from the dealer!!
  24. Sounds like it's impressive Dave. Would have to be immense to get me past that badge though! What made it that much better than the 3.0 for you though?
