  1. Yep, I'm in for that and maybe more than a touch up pot.
  2. Guess it depends on what else you get for the cash. Interesting though.......!! Now, how do I get my hands on one of those??
  3. The amp takes a 'mid level' input ie less than speaker input but more than RCA output. Not likely to find something I don't think.......
  4. I did the Great North Run this weekend, and in my trip from Reading, to Uxbridge to Durham, to Newcastle and then reversed that journey, over three days......... 1. 1 Zed, a silver coupe spotted in the distance from a transfer coach on a slip road.
  5. Yep exactly, couldn't agree more. I know there's the price difference and used that example for the very point you raise (except if you look certain models of lhd 911's will be fairly equal). If we're worried about residuals of things, why do we ever buy luggage nets, aluminium trim bits, wheels etc etc?? Because we want to, and it's the same with car itself I think. It's a purchase of passion, not of the head, if it was, we'd all be sat on buses 'so as not to take the horrific depreciation on motor vehicles!' The best time to buy a Zed is when you can afford it and find the one you want. Wherever it came from, at whatever price you want to pay for it.
  6. I thought the thread was about BUYING a Zed??? If people's first concern is a residual, then the thread should read - When will the Zed become a classic? - all cars lose money, that is a fact. If there was such an issue with imported cars in general, why on earth are there so many left hand drive 911's for sale all the time, that regularly pass hands for good money? Reason: they're good cars that people want. So I don't see what it matters, if you've got the cash and you like what you see, you buy it.
  7. Any cleaner will leave streaks if you don't get it all off, and if the stuff is a bit greasy and you end up smearing it the original stain. Try dabbing at it rather than wiping to get into the dimpled texture of the door.
  8. Nice one!! New thread with pics, specs, details......???
  9. Does it matter though??? No! You saw the car (so did I), maybe drove the car (I did), liked the spec and the price so handed over the price I thought reasonable, just the same way you did. Doesn't matter where it's made or anything, it's a car, it's on our drive ways and we're happy.
  10. Plus when you score you tend 2 run back 2 your own half Exactly. I'll ping another on sunday for ya all we've only got your word that was you ! it could have been any under 14 side playing You can here the people in the stand saying my name divvy!! Your called divvy??? LMAO - you sure you weren't playing on a school pitch?? You goal looks very close to theirs!!
  11. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/178495/what_a_clip/
  12. Looks genuine to me!!! looked like there was 2 players offside to me Not interfering with play distracting the goalie?? No, that was the Custard mobile just out of shot.
  13. exactly,.......... no one forced us to buy, we bought what we wanted... I just dont want someone telling me I got ripped off by buying an import , because it's not a "real Z " WHICH I WASNT GOING TO REPLY TO It doesn't matter though. Otherwise why would people buy a Boxster S at the price premium?? All dowwn to a perceived value, and that's all this is. One person would pay £15k, another would pay £17k. You got the colour / spec / condition you wanted, so did I mate. And best of all, we all got Zeds!!
  14. Check the 'Spotted on eBay' section for your light! With link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-350Z-2005- ... dZViewItem
  15. Import or UK. 10k on the clock or 20k on the clock. Brembos or not. Who cares, we all paid our money at the time because we thought what we were getting was reasonable for it. I guess if we were worried about depreciation etc we would have all bought 10yr old Golfs!

    Mamma Mia!

A BMW*nkr??? You must be mad man ! I'm arranging an urgent visit by the men with white coats - you've missed your medication again! lol +1
  17. The AutoGlym stuff for the wheels does seem to actually do something with brake dust not being such a pain to get off. Smells like a concentrated Show Shine. Never used Megs at length. Auto Glym have a new Extra Deep Shine polish out specifically for new / dark cars. I think it's top notch! See the thread I started about giving the Elise it's winter coat in this section.....
  18. LOL - wonder how yours differs from mine Glad your coming mate, you and I might bring the average age down to 45 Um, It's GM for a start!! Other than that, probably not much by then!! Small chance the plenum will be done but unlikely. That low?? BTW, what time is the meet?? K OK I was being generous 9 O'Clock Sorry, nothing major done yet other than a good clean! - ouch, early!!
  19. Firstly, what you apply the products with. Wash mitt (rather than a sponge), two buckets (one for soapy water, one for non-soapy to rinse the mitt), and lots of cloths and pads for applying various products. Personally, wheel cleaner is water. Every wheel cleaner is acidic in some way and in my experience it's impossible to ever truly get it all off. Then I use AutoGlym Wheel Detailer (I think, only just started using it). Great stuff. Paint work itself, system should be clay bar - polish - wax / protector. That doesn't need to be done every time. Depends what sort of finish you're after which can come down to personal preference. I like Auto Glym, some like Zaino, Megs, Zymol etc etc. You can try each one and choose a favourite! Is there anything specific you want to know? I could blab forever about this!!
